  1. I think people need to understand that there is a difference between the cadre of NFL owners and the brotherhood of coaches. Coaches weren’t going to blackball Flores because they know there is truth to what he’s saying. Tomlin has autonomy and can hire whatever assistants he wants. Said another way: Flores’ problem is going to be whether he is ever hired as a HC again…not whether he coaches.
  2. Your intense distaste for me clouds your ability to read the English language. I said nothing of the sort. You really need to get a grip.
  3. I have not heard a single person offer that narrative. Not one. The only narrative I’ve heard is that these two teams gave us the greatest final couple of minutes of playoff football ever…and that the Bills squandered a golden opportunity in those final seconds. I re-watched from the start of the Bills 17-play drive through the TD at 0:13…it was incredibly exhilarating and satisfying. I don’t need to watch any more ever again.
  4. I dunno, man...every year you beat your chest over another team you wish the Bills were more like. You're typically wrong. The Jets, the Browns... I'm pretty certain at least 25, and perhaps as many 28 or 29, NFL fan bases wish their teams operated more like the Bills.
  5. Yeah, you didn’t answer my question — you just repeated your desire for splashy moves. Beane understands what he needs to do to keep improving the roster.
  6. Don’t disagree at all.
  7. While I want a Super Bowl championship as much as anyone, I respect that Beane is not a “this year or bust” kind of GM. I do understand fans like you looking for the splashy move to “get over the top” but the Bills were literally 13 seconds from probably being in the SB this season — after losing arguably their best defensive player. Every draft pick is a risk; I don’t think Beane is gun-shy or afraid of anything. He simply has a different philosophy not everyone agrees with. It’s so easy to sit back as a fan and point out the misses on players or coaches, but compare what Beane and McD have built to the other 31 franchises and tell me which one you’d rather be a fan of (and why)? I can tell you that friends of mine who are fans of other teams now look at my Bills paraphernalia with envy. Without making a single splashy move the Bills are the co-betting favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl. I’ll take that every year. The interview was excellent.
  8. Here’s what I like about the West hire…he’s not yet another assistant from another NFL team shuffling around, which is what all of these guys seem to do (as evidenced by the tweet in the very first post). Fresh blood, which in and of itself is nice to see.
  9. Dude. He's supposed to exhibit some human expression of concern. Do you really not understand that? Who said he needed to jump down or move her?
  10. I hate it when people steal my s**t. I suggested this metaphor on this very board weeks ago. All good, @Big Turk -- but I'm not giving you credit for the idea.
  11. There were TENS of people there…you could feel the excitement!
  12. In the context that video clip presents, it looks like a very strange and uncaring reaction. I do hope there is more to the story, although I can’t really figure out what that might be.
  13. Guys, you realize that the show is probably 80% scripted, right? If three or four of them sat around and agreed about everything it would be a boring ass show. Kyle is now the designated Bills guy, Kay is the “but what about X” balancer, and Schrager is “Mr. Hyperbole.” They play their roles and for the most part the show works. Then the 4th is the ex-player perspective.
  14. He’s a total long shot and I’ve said nothing more. I’m just curious to see what he does with a real coach, because we have seen some glimpses of potential (before last year).
  15. Might as well call him “the next unicorn” — because that’s what Josh is. There’s never been one like him, and there may never be one again.
  16. When the Bills make it to the Super Bowl I expect him to make a 25K bet on the opponent.
  17. The only OL on this roster who should be considered “safe” are Dawkins, Morse, Bates (who will be tendered), Doyle, and Brown. They are most certainly not intending to “run it back” with this crew. Brown has potential but is far from a finished product, and Doyle showed enough late in the season (and was only a rookie) so he’ll be back. Everybody else is “on alert.” Feliciano was never great and got worse. Williams dropped off precipitously. Boettger is JAG. Ford will get his absolute last chance. I predict at least three of these four will be gone, which means four or five new OL. I am very excited about the return of Beach Chairs. We may finally see linemen who reach their potential.
  18. He’s cheap and there’s no reason he won’t be in camp. Let’s see what Kromer can do with him.
  19. Seems as though that NFC East is quite a party.
  20. I figured it out. I was making fun of myself.
  21. I read this twice, wondering "who is this QB from Boston University we don't want to talk about?"
  22. That girl is bat-s**t crazy -- which probably made her fun for a while, but then you just have to get the hell out of there.
  23. I gotta say, you live for this s**t.
  24. I said this in another thread. "The Window" is a concept that only applies to teams without superstar QBs in their prime.
