I don’t disagree, but he won’t be getting my money. -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?

If you don’t believe Ty Dunne is all about Ty Dunne, go back and read his “inside takes” on the Rodgers/Green Bay situation last year. He told anyone who would listen that Rodgers “would do anything possible” to get out of Green Bay prior to the season. This guy is fashioning himself into a NFL drama creator. -

What a hack job by a writer trying to become the next Timmah Graham. He’s done this in other pieces as well. Take nameless quotes and orchestrate them into his narrative to get clicks, follows, and subscriptions. Look, McD, other coaches, and players all f***ed up in the last 13 seconds of that game. Trying to create a narrative that McD choked it all away and never accepted responsibility is bush league. -
And I remember the angst from some prior to the start of this season as to whether Josh would flop in front of crowds. It’s laughable.

And the 1 INT was a pass that bounced off John Brown’s hands. We have our guy.

1st round is where you look for game breaking talent. WR is the position. I hope they do it.

1. Sees veteran free agent thread. 2. Reads “if we can get him on the cheap” post. 3. Has a satisfying chuckle and moves on.

Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham
eball replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m already on the record that I wouldn’t like it. I don’t think what Gronk did to Tre was a “football play” or “in the heat of the moment.” He went out of his way to try and injure a player. That said, if he has apologized to Tre in a way that Tre accepts, it’s not my place to judge it any further. -
I really want Fitzy to come back for this season
eball replied to bubba2018's topic in The Stadium Wall
This thread is hilarious. Fitz, at about 2-3M, is a perfect backup for one season. He loves Buffalo, players love him, and he’d be another “guy in the room” helping Josh go even farther. Plus, who wouldn’t love to see Fitz get a chance, even as a backup, to finally go to the playoffs and possibly win a Super Bowl. We should root for the good guys of this world like Fitz. There is no “curse” — he has chosen teams with sketchy QB situations before because he wanted to be the starter. I think there’s a decent chance he is past that now and would welcome a “senior advisor” role in which he plays in mop-up duty or only when necessary. -
I CC what you’re saying…now I have to go PP.

Today's Locked On Bills podcast - listen to it

Serious question: what do you say to those who believe Edmunds' presence in the middle is a significant disruption to the opponents' passing game? I have no agenda here. -
Tim Graham: Bills stadium deal could be announced this week.

A great point I had not even considered. Bring on the heated natural grass field! -
BUT WHY ARE THEY YELLING!!! Great playoff game, Murray. Dooosh.

If the Sabres had legitimate goaltending they’d probably be a fringe playoff team right now. They have a ways to go, but goaltending has absolutely held them back — it’s horrid.

What? The silhouette IS the Buffalo skyline.

I played 18 holes of golf today for the first time in 20 years
eball replied to Draconator's topic in Off the Wall
Basically triple bogey golf. What sort of golfer were you 20 years ago? With the new world handicap system it’s easier than ever to get a legit index…even playing 9-hole rounds. -
Funny. I joined in September of 2001.

Hey, it’s the offseason, and since we now actually have a team it’s fun to root for it’s easier to look back at the drought era and reflect. Feel free to come in here and remind us all of your worst takes on the Bills during the drought years. What were you so sure of that was proven to be absolutely wrong? I’ll start. I’m a self-professed homer so even through the drought years I was always looking for the silver lining…but that’s what fans do. Here are a few I’m not particularly proud of: I wanted Rob Johnson to play over Flutie. I was excited when Marv was brought back as GM and thought he would right the ship. I didn’t think Russ Brandon was a tool. I blamed Overdorf for Ralph’s cheapness. I defended Chris Kelsay way more than he deserved. I loved the trade up to draft Sammy Watkins. I fooled myself into thinking Rex Ryan was a good hire. Those are the big ones. I’ve rooted for sub-par players but I think that’s just fandom. What say you?

The Bills are a perfect landing spot for Darnold once he is no longer being paid like a #2 overall draft pick. He and Josh are tight, and the Bills have established themselves as a place players come to get better. It just can’t happen this year.

And gets a 25 page thread in this forum because, gosh darn it, THIS might be when he finally makes it!

Rams - opening game of season Bills / Cowboys most likely
eball replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
As much as I hate it, I do understand the networks' love of the damn Cowboys and they are probably going to be the game on opening night. That said, if actual football people are making the decision the Bills are a no-brainer. -
Per Andrew Marchand (New York Post) Troy Aikman is ESPN bound for MNF

Buck may be the most arrogant, self-important prick of an announcer there has ever been.
