  1. I often wonder why in the world veteran QBs make these statements. Exactly who is the intended audience? The guy was already drafted, they’re not going to “take it back.” Tannehill has never struck me as the brightest bulb anyway, but this is just stupid. Besides, all of the QBs on a team are together almost all of the time anyway — in meetings, practices, and they talk to each other during games. There is quite literally no reason to make these kinds of statements that only serve to make the veteran QB look like an ass. Tannehill — a guy who has already “won” in the game of the business of football, is too good to help a young teammate? What a moron.
  2. And I have repeatedly said the same. It’s Cody’s last chance. But if you don’t think the Teller situation is a factor in Beane wanting to give Cody a chance I think you’re naive. Beane hasn’t given Cody a 2nd contract; he hasn’t insisted he get playing time. Those are coaching decisions. Ford has also been hurt a lot. The odds are far greater that we’ve seen the last of Cody on a Bills’ regular season roster than otherwise. I also strongly disagree with your premise that Beane gave an “easy answer” on the Teller situation. He did the opposite — he went in depth on his thinking about what was happening at the time. He could have continued to say he made the right decision at the time but he didn’t — he said he wished he had been more patient. Beane has admitted other mistakes as well, such as botching the QB situation in Josh’s rookie year. BBB is a guy who checks all the boxes in terms of integrity, honesty, and accountability. He doesn’t pat himself on the back for his good decisions (he shares credit) and he accepts responsibility for his bad ones. And I’m sorry, looking at what the Bills were when he got here to what they are now, and understanding that being a GM is infinitely more complex than it was when Polian was around, I think he may already be the best GM we’ve ever had.
  3. This is a hugely inaccurate and out of touch assessment. ”Millions” aren’t going to be prevented from watching TNF. The market the NFL wants isn’t the market with a pair of rabbit ears atop their TV sets. If you were savvy enough to have satellite TV the concept of a streaming device probably isn’t foreign to you.
  4. Do you really think the line about it being ironic that they were in Vegas, the city of chance, and the only thing that can stop Josh Allen is the flip of a coin wasn’t funny? I consider myself to be a rather well-traveled connoisseur of comedy and Brandt knocked it out of the park. My wife groaned at me keeping the channel on the draft because I was waiting for the Bills’ 3rd round pick. Afterwards she said, “I’d watch the draft if all of the picks were that cool.” But hey, to each his/her own.
  5. If the Bengals are worried about getting respect instead of worrying about getting better they’re going to get their asses kicked.
  6. First of all, thanks for the great post, but this paragraph should be required reading for everyone wanting to kick Cody Ford to the curb. I agree that Beane being willing to own up to the Teller mistake says a lot about his integrity, honesty, and lack of ego. I laugh inwardly every time I read a post about how Beane will keep draft picks who shouldn’t be on the team only because he doesn’t want to admit he was wrong.
  7. Bobby Johnson is begging the Giants to sign him as we speak…
  8. Unless I’m completely misreading the tea leaves, the plan is obvious. Edmunds is going to be a Bill for a long time. Great recap, @NewEra
  9. Tyrann is clearly planning for his post-NFL career at this point, making bank while he can without worrying about competing for another SB.
  10. It’s still unbelievable to me that happened to this day. Christ. Nope, it was Travis Henry.
  11. No way! Wait, who?
  12. Friggin’ Lonnie Johnson.
  13. There are countless examples of players who did not reach their potential until they were paired with the right coach, and Ford has also struggled to stay healthy. I am NOT predicting Cody Ford will make this roster, but we’ll see in camp and preseason whether B.C. can save him.
  14. I agree with much of this, but I’ll come back to what I’ve been saying about the OL…Bobby Johnson was/is an AWFUL OL coach. I mean, terrible, no-good, atrocious. I hear a lot of moaning and groaning about not doing enough on the interior OL this offseason but Beach Chairs is going to make a significant difference. Mark my words.
  15. Full schedule release May 12. The NFL teased that some specific games will be announced earlier (like Chiefs/Bolts W2 on TNF). If I was a betting man, I’d predict they’ll announce the season opener this Thursday.
  16. I cancelled DTV after last season…looks like I did it one season too early. If any of you have a college kid willing to let me “borrow” their email address for a season please hit me up in a DM.
  17. If true, this is a huge red flag. It also warrants immediate medical attention.
  18. Just some more clay for Beach Chairs to mold.
  19. Yeah, @Kirby Jackson, Haack is toast. But this thread is hilarious. I don’t want the Bills to punt more than 1-2 times a game.
  20. Blows Klein out of the water with his athleticism.
  21. Perfect fit for this defense. Essentially a Milano clone. I don’t care where he was or should have been drafted.
  22. You may be right. Moss better show some significant improvement.
  23. Haven’t read through this thread but I think Duke Johnson’s days are numbered as a Buffalo Bill. Cook will fill the role of 3rd down and passing game back.
  24. Yeah, at this point you’re simply coming across like a bitter, out of touch old fart. Hope that was what you were going for because you nailed it. Cheers.
