When Watson made the “no regrets” comment I was astounded and appalled at his lack of self awareness (or self preservation), not to mention how poorly his attorneys had prepared him — although he may be just that much of an egotistical, misogynistic monster that he believes it. Cleveland deserves every bit of bad luck and karma they get with that crook of an owner and POS quarterback.

Have to assume it was one of those "personal reasons" situations...

Gotcha. I’ll look into it.

I'm going to try this the first two Sundays of the season with non-Bills games to see if it works before counting on it. I seem to recall the apps starting to get "smarter" about those VPN spoofers. If it works, though...it's money. Along the same lines, I wonder if I can "fool" YouTube TV on a Sunday to think i'm traveling and get the local channels.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine? Things are looking up in Sabreland, my friend...

The NFL has three games on Thanksgiving. The Lions and Cowboys always play, at home, so the Bills can only be in those games once every eight years (per scheduling parameters). The third game is not locked into any one team and obviously the Bills were chosen last year (along with the Saints). After this season I doubt we'll see the Bills on Thanksgiving again for a while.

Cool. We are coming in Wednesday night and staying in Marina del Rey. Gonna hang out and do something fun in the LA area on Friday, then go home Saturday.

I make my own using Excel and then print them on magnet paper to stick on the side of the fridge. I give my mom one so she can keep up with the games and scores as well. PM me and when I get around to doing this year's I'll send you one. -
Great actor. Looked terrible in recent years, wonder what did him in.

Offer 3.5...you never know.

I'm not buying any of this "it would be too much of a distraction" talk. Pretty simple -- coaches and GMs start their press conferences with "I'm not answering any questions about Colin Kaepernick. We signed him with the hope he can help our team win football games." I just can't take anyone seriously who says CK didn't deserve an opportunity to play in this league considering the absolute dogschitt we've seen at the QB position over the past five years (particularly backups). He was blackballed and there's really no legitimate debate on that issue unless someone can prove to me that he turned down backup-level contract offers because he insisted on starting. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.

Yeah, I’ve been thinking that as well. I personally don’t care one bit about the Pro Bowl but if they insist on continuing it take the safety concerns away and put flags on them. Or, have the players compete in non-football activities like a “Superstars” sort of event.

Dawg, it’s not us you need to worry about. Nobody at OBD is going to overlook anyone, particularly after what happened in Jacksonville last year. If Tua has a clean pocket he’s a very accurate short-to-mid range passer. Guys like that can be successful in the league, but you never hear their offenses described as “explosive” or “dangerous.” Teams will respect the Fishes’ speed but until and unless Tua can throw the accurate 25-30 yard pass consistently they’ll continue to struggle. It’s amusing to see all of the threads and posts “warning” or “preparing” us for improved competition in the AFCE, as if every team isn’t trying to get better every year. All of these teams have a common issue they are facing — the freaking behemoth that is the Buffalo Bills. I’ll start worrying about the rest of the AFCE when they figure out how to stop Josh Allen.

Hey Chicken Little...go tell Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller their rankings are trash.

If it's any consolation, I rarely read your posts because they are too long and i have a short attention span.

95yo Former Vikes Coach- Rule Change Ideas
eball replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall
The “must gain 1 yard” rule is interesting, but in order to be put into practice it would need to be drafted carefully. I think it would have to be “must make an effort to advance the football” language rather than a specific yardage amount, to avoid ridiculous pauses to determine whether a yard was gained. The offense simply has to “try.” If a QB throws the ball away it stops the clock regardless. There’s also the issue of plays at the end of the 1st half. If a team has the ball on their own 20 with 10 seconds to go they have to run a meaningful play? The other two suggestions by Grant are indeed worthy of discussion. -
First of all, I think Kirwan and Miller do a very in-depth job when they take on a “league-wide ranking” exercise such as this one. It’s not fluff. They also value OL play quite highly and have frequent guests/experts on their show on the topic. If they believe the Bills have the 2nd best OL in the AFC it’s not a snap judgment. I believe the overall discussion of the OL on this board, however, reinforces a couple of common tendencies among football fans in general: 1 - fans who tend to focus on “areas to improve” almost always bemoan the team’s OL play and don’t seem to take a big picture view (i.e., compared to the league); and 2 - fans tend to forget (or ignore) that every team in the league has issues with consistent OL play. I bet if you visit the other 31 teams’ primary fan message boards you’ll find 31 fan bases who gripe and moan about their team’s OL. It’s just what we as fans do. I’m always an optimistic fan, but getting rid of Bobby Johnson and bringing in Beach Chairs is still the most important move the Bills have made for the offense this offseason.

If trap games existed, these three would be them according to BillsWire

Momentum is a state of mind and is indeed a real thing in sports. Most often it occurs in a negative sense for individuals or teams who see things going badly and then press to recover, usually with poor results. -

Nope. See below. Exactly. The point isn’t that good teams never lose to bad teams…it’s that the W-L percentage in those games is historically consistent regardless of who the good team played the week before or the week after. Really simple concept.
