  1. I've had multiple non-Bills fans tell me it was the best playoff game they've ever watched, period.
  2. Yeah, when I heard Gabe say 150 lbs. I was like "whoa, who the hell needs a pit bull that size?"
  3. And here I thought you were just a schedule prediction guy!
  4. Right, forgot about that. Good catch.
  5. Top 10 protected. If Vegas' pick is top 10 then it defers to next year's pick. Lottery is only for the top two picks. After that, teams are slotted by record. So if Vegas doesn't get the 1st or 2nd pick (with the worst odds) then it will be pick 15 or 16 and the Sabres get it this year.
  6. Yeah the league really seems to be struggling right now.
  7. Dallas really tried to lose that game…some of the dumbest play I’ve seen in their own end the last few minutes of regulation and OT. Goalie saved ‘em. Eichel played “ok” but was on the ice more than any other forward and only notched one assist on the PP. He was -1 for the game and 3/13 on face offs. Just like you expect a superstar to play in a life and death game. Buffalo SO won that trade. Edit: and with Vegas probably winding up as the 15th or 16th “seed” for the draft lottery the odds of them getting the 1st or 2nd pick are minuscule. So it’s almost certain the Sabres will get their 1st rounder next year and we can really put the Eichel “error” behind us.
  8. Pretty exciting game; 5 min to go tied at 2.
  9. I've got a Billa Poncho I wear to the games when it rains.
  10. It makes more sense because in trading down you acquired another asset. But if you love the player at 25 you shouldn't be afraid to take him there if you don't think he'll last until 33.
  11. First two are easy...do I even have to answer? On #3 for some reason I feel like I need to say a Honda Fit.
  12. We do this every year (and I'm guilty of it as well) -- we think that the guy we got in the 6th or 7th round the year before is going to "make a big jump" in his 2nd (or 3rd) year and obviate the need to draft talented players in early rounds at that position. I mean, we're all still waiting for Isaiah Hodgins to break out, amiright? Those "surprises" happen once in a blue moon, and anyone expecting Stevenson to play a major role in this offense is naive (at best). A stud WR in the 1st round absolutely helps the team this year, but I do agree with you that the Bills should not trade up in this year's 1st round.
  13. No 1st round corner. Period. I'd take a WR if one of the top four fall, I'd take the RB Hall, and I'd take a LB. I'd also love a trade down and get more picks in rounds 2-4.
  14. Hey Alpha, if you don’t mind my asking… (a) what do you do for a living; and (b) can I be your friend?
  15. My first exposure to Kyle was when he did the Bears' TV network play-by-play for their preseason game against the Bills in 2018 (the AJ McCarron game). I did not remember Kyle from MTV's The Real World or know he had worked on Jim Rome's show and was now a "sports guy." At the time, I also did not realize he was a lifelong Bears fan and doing the play-by-play for a Bears game was one of his dreams. The broadcast was hilarious; I think I posted about it here at the time. Brandt called the action as if it was the Super Bowl. Before I realized the circumstances I thought he was an idiot; now I understand just how excited he was to do it. Since then I've become a fan. I watch GMFB quite a bit during the season (not so much in the off-season) and I enjoy the energy he brings to the show. Is everything funny? Of course not, but enough of it is that I find him enjoyable. His attachment to the Bills and Bills Mafia was organic, and at least to me did not appear to be contrived. Kyle coined the moniker "Sugar High Josh" -- which wasn't exactly a compliment. If people don't like his personality or entertainment it's no skin off my teeth, but the ones who lambaste him as a phony or bandwagon fan don't understand what he has been doing and what he's all about. I feel like he's pretty genuine. He has most certainly played at least some small role in enhancing the Bills' national exposure. I honestly don't know why any Bills fan would crap on him.
  16. Either you've been living under a rock, you don't watch the NFL Network's Good Morning Football show (or read any posts on this forum about it), you don't listen to One Bills Live on the Bills radio network (or read any posts on this forum about it), you don't have a Twitter account, or if you do have a Twitter account you don't follow any Bills news sources. Are you in fact a Bills fan? Kyle Brandt is this generation's Chris Berman...i.e., a national football media presence who openly hypes the Buffalo Bills.
  17. Tomorrow night is huge. Vegas at Dallas. If the Stars win it's almost certainly lights out in Vegas. Laughed my ass off at Eichel being on the ice (and his post-goal reaction) for the Sharks' tying goal with 1 second left last night.
  18. I’d like to say that yes, I would be a JA fan regardless, because of not only how he plays the game but what type of person he is. I do wonder just how much I would have looked into his past and development, however, if he wasn’t a Bill. Probably not much, because I don’t spend any of my time researching players’ backgrounds who are not Bills.
  19. I've got three names for you. Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Andy Reid. Your argument that the reason this trade was "awful" for the Bills is that Mahomes beat the Bills in the playoffs twice is specious. It's fine, we don't need to argue. We disagree and I can live with that.
  20. Protect the kneecaps at all costs, boys!!!
  21. Fantastic stuff @GunnerBill — this beats the crap out of “mock drafts.” Thank you sir.
  22. Yeah, it was September of 2001 for me. Damn I'm old.
  23. We'll all take a wild card.
  24. Sure he does. By not taking Mahomes or another QB high in the 2017 draft the Bills were banking on getting theirs the following year. One decision directly led to the other. As I said...I'll judge whether or not that trade was "awful" for the Bills when we can look back at the totality of both QBs' careers.
