Allen was the Bills’ top choice. They knew the Giants were not taking a QB and they knew the Jets were not taking Allen. Their only fear (and it was a legitimate one) was that the Browns would choose Allen. When that didn’t happen, Beane knew he just had to stay ahead of the Cardinals.

i love the schedule discussion as I travel to multiple games each year and finally being able to start making plans is something I really look forward to. Ignore the mockery.

Yep, only one WC trip (hopefully W1) is great.

Yeah, I hear ya, but I still think there’s a hell of a lot of 20/20 hindsight that goes on with respect to Mahomes and how “can’t miss” of a prospect he was. I’ll reserve judgment on how the Bills and Chiefs fared from that trade at the end of Allen’s and Mahomes’ careers, not now.

Wait, is she actually in that video? All I see are filters. Oh, dear god. Bethenny Frankel-stein.

Common man...give him a break. It's not rocket surgery.

Annnnnnd, straight from the horse's mouth: Bills GM Brandon Beane said he doesn't think CB is a position where if they don't get one early that they won't get a good one later on.
-
Why would you presume the only way for the Bills to avoid that scenario is to draft a CB in the 1st round? Good god, man, CBs are available in rounds other than the 1st and there a bunch of veterans out there to sign post-draft.
-
I'm not here to say I told you so, but... Kidding aside, I have said all offseason I'd be surprised if they go CB at #1 unless something crazy happens and a can't miss guy falls to them. I hold to that thinking.

I'll second Dick Enberg. Just an absolute pro, super nice guy, great voice, and his own catch phrase. Covers all the bases. -

Bills have almost $10 million in cap space available
eball replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d be surprised (if not shocked) if the Bills sign any additional FA WRs. I think they’ll draft at least one, maybe two. Amid all of the chatter I still think they go WR in the 1st round unless a “can’t miss” CB falls to 25. They won’t trade up in the 1st. After that, in the 2nd I see them taking one of the two stud RBs (Hall or Walker) if available, and they might trade up to do it. I am not worried about CB. I trust the coaching staff and this is also a deep draft for corners (from what I’ve read; I don’t scout). I believe a vet CB signing is on the horizon following the draft.
