Those who thought the Bills would just hand the job to Dorsey without interviewing candidates were fooling themselves. That said, I really hope they don't bring in a short passing game WCO guy. Totally the wrong thing for Allen.

Didn't mean for my post to sound like a criticism of Daboll at all...I agree he handled it well. I'm just saying the NYC media will only accept those sort of responses for a short time. The honeymoon is a lot shorter in that neck of the woods than it is in Buffalo.

Watched most of the Daboll PC (when the feed wasn't breaking up...nice job Giants). I like Daboll but I'm still not sure he's cut out for a HC job. I'll give him credit, though...he stayed far, far away from any sort of predictions or timelines, and the NY media and fans will hate that. Dabes was all "it's a process" and "we've gotta crawl before we walk" throughout the whole thing. All of the NY hacks were like "when will you turn this around" and he was having none of it. It's one thing to bring that mentality to Buffalo...the NYC media market is a whole other animal. Daboll even got a question about whether Cinci going from 2 wins to 4 wins to Super Bowl puts any increased pressure on him to turn things around immediately. I almost felt bad for the guy.

For three years I’ve taken relentless s-h-i-t from friends and acquaintances that Allen isn’t an elite QB because of his iNaCcUraCy issues, that he runs too much, and because he played at Wyoming. I’ve had Bama fans tell me Tua and McCorkle are better. Not going to happen any more.

Yeah, but… Bingo. It was fun watching that 2nd half yesterday as Romo was almost in disbelief at what he was seeing. 3-man rush, Mahomes running around in circles like he was lost, then being sacked. Then throwing the pick after almost throwing the pick two plays earlier. Total meltdown. If Josh has that half, he’s skewered. Mahomes will be given a pass, despite blowing an 18-pt lead at home. Just watch. The Cinci win allowed me to put the Bills-Chiefs game to rest. I will now enjoy the offseason and look forward to Josh continuing his assault on the league in 2022 and beyond.

This is 100% the biggest fear every Bills fans should have. I believe McD gets it. I dearly hope so.
