I think Payton and the Saints FO put themselves in another bad salary cap situation signing Byrd. They have approximately 1.6 million in cap space since they cut players and signed Byrd. They'll have to have another cleansing to deal with Graham next year. So he may be able to judge character but they most likely need Byrd to be the type of presence to put them over the top and win now or it will end up being a terrible decision.

Byrd is a piece of crap and I'm glad he's gone. He was a fantastic player but he didn't want to play here and there's nothing you can do about that at a certain point. He showed his character faking that injury and we used him like we should have for one last season. We got him at a bargain last year and said no we're not signing you. Kudos for the FO.

Yeah I don't get that. When he was on that show "House Hunters", his professionalism and maturity were so obvious when choosing a home to live in. It was all about being close to work (the stadium).

Depth is great don't get me wrong. If you have great depth it won't last long and wasn't planned. You need a QB to play great, draft picks to start, and have enough money to pour into the rest of the team. We have everything ready to go if Manual plays great, if you can trade up to get an absolute stud, I think you do it.

I don't think he'll make it but I think EJ will get pro bowl consideration. I don't think the pro bowl is necessarily the best players but I think he'll win some popularity this year.
