  1. Torrell Troup over Rob Gronkowski is the first thing I think about with Nix
  2. I get that some teams have bigger markets than others, but the NFL is the highest rated sport in the nation. If a meaningful football game is on the viewers are gonna watch. I know I personally do anyway. I don't get why they just don't give every team one sunday night game a season. The Jaguars would get watch on SNF as long as they played that game against someone like the Ravens or Patriots or Broncos or something like that. If they gave us a SNF game against Dallas this year or even against someone like even the Bengals it would get watch by millions of viewers. The NFL doesn't seem to comprehend this though
  3. 3 comeback wins? He has the comeback win against Carolina. What are the other two?
  4. Stats don't mean anything. Joe Flacco's rookie year wasn't spectacular but he again showed glimpses of being a franchise QB and at least didn't have accuracy issues and had decent footwork. EJ has accuracy problems and has not shown anything in 14 starts
  5. The reason why people have given up on EJ when he hasn't even started a whole season of games yet is because he hasn't shown anything that even resembles a franchise QB. There have been no glimpses of anything that says that he is the guy. Other QB's that have turned into franchise QBs have at least shown glimpses in less time than it has taken EJ. Not every Qb but a lot of them of them show signs that they have what it takes. This is not the case with EJ. Everything that we have seen from EJ at this point tells me that we have already seen his ceiling. There is nothing in his game that says he could even be the next Joe Flacco much less a guy like Aaron Rodgers
  6. He has an $11 million cap hit this year. We only have $7 million in cap pace. We can't even make a trade until we free up more cap space. We wouldn't even be allowed to make the trade because it puts us over the cap by $4 million. We are better off seeing if he ends up being a post 6/1 cut
  7. It's a lot easier to go 11-5 with a bad oline than it is to go 11-5 with little talent at skill positions. So yeah, we can go 11-5 with a bad oline
  8. How long do retired players contracts take to expire when they retire? Just wondering in case we wanted to coax him back out of retirement to play for us. Would SF be able to put a stop to it or no?
  9. Screw Cameron, if this falls through with Clay then go after Vernon Davis
  10. I would say that sealing would be getting a tight end as well as fixing the oline
  11. I would believe this more if the Bucs were trading Vincent Jackson. I don't believe the Buccs would trade their second year receiver
  12. It's all in for now. If we had a 1st round pick then I would say lets go all in and get the best QB we can get. As of right now lets go all in and get what we can get for this season which in my opinion is a game changing tight end
  13. Call the 49ers and offer them our 3rd rounder this year and a conditional 4th or 5th rounder next year for Vernon Davis. Roman loves his tight ends and he is familiar with Davis. He had one down year last year but is only two years removed from a 13TD season and is only going to make $4.95 million this season. I still say we try to sign Julius Thomas since it looks like we won't be signing Hughes and we will have the extra money but if we are unable to get Thomas, we just got our RB and traded for a QB. Lets really go all in and get our tight end
  14. I wonder what happened with this? A couple of weeks ago a signing sounded imminent and now nothing. It has to be over guaranteed money I'm guessing
  15. I think Stevie would flourish as a slot receiver in this offense. I think not having him last year kind of hurt our offense a bit. Bring him back
