Most people think we are moving forward and getting smarter - the exact opposite is happening and it's reflected in football too.

I don't know. Their competition hasn't been fierce. I think if the play the Ravens, Chargers and Vikes - it may be a different story than the amazing team you describe.

This would be true if he was only able to handle certain things so shutting them down would be easier. He's working with a makeshift offensive line and receivers that are C and D grade. He's doing unconventional things and isn't showing tendencies. Defenses are already throwing everything at him and he's overcoming some of them with athleticism. It wasn't a throwing exhibition as much as heart, determination and unbelievable compete level. Defenses should be doing exactly what they're doing but he's winning some of those battles. What would you suggest they do, rush him more? Shut down the run? Take away his favorite throwing lanes or outlets? I think the more they try and take away the things he's doing - the more conventional things he'll be able to do.

On of the most shocking things from a draft pick that I've experienced in the last several years - is how awkward Zay Jones looks catching the football sometimes. For one of the most prolific college WR's in recent times - it's hard to tell how that happened. He doesn't look smooth at times and some receptions - he has to catch and re-catch. He looks nervous or gets the yips to me.

When Hue and Haley had that disagreement on sitting veteran players - I was like oh boy, this is going to explode soon.

If we haven't GM our Qb won't matter to build a team around him. Have we saw this done even in our division. You need more than just a QB.

I don't see the point in a workout or signing of a QB like this.

Last season when we made the playoffs without all these amazing players you miss so much.

I also think we should have gone after Gordon. However I wouldn't give up a 5th for just this year. I would need convincing that he'd want to and that I'd (as GM) want him beyond this year.

I just hope Allen gets something out of the game and doesn't get hurt.

From the looks of it - he's gained the respect of his teammates rather quickly. He showed me a lot Sunday. He's tough as hell and doesn't get rattled.
