Dust has settled...Alphas look at what lies ahead
ganesh replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dorsey was in his 1st year as an OC and I think he did a pretty remarkable job given the state of the OL and lack of WR depth. There is concern that Frasier is not able to replicate his regular season success in the playoffs (and fair enough). This team had too many things going on mentally to overcome beyond a certain point... * Owner not well * Knox losing his brother * Hyde after game #2 * Poyer in and out of the line up * Continuous injuries to the DL and OL starters * Losing Von Miller who was here to make that difference in the playoffs * Losing Crowder at the beginning of the season * Damar Hamlin situation * Playing 3 games on the road in 10 days * Two winter blizzards to dig out of. This team was mentally exhausted by the time of the playoffs... I think the Bills hold this team and staff together one more season and make necessary changes in OL to protect their crown jewel and run for the championship. Sure, that other teams are getting better and it will become harder....but it already did in 2022 and the Bills handled it. This team in spite of the above won 14 games in regular season and beat the Dolphins the playoffs. Go Bills. -
Never as long as we have Josh Allen. Go Bills !

We are paying huge dollars for the following folks: Allen, Diggs, Morse, Saffold, Dawkins, Knox, Hines Miller, Milano, White, Oliver, Poyer, Hyde, Jones High priced ST players (comparatively) We need our Rookies and Sophomores to pan out next season. We need to draft a WR, OL, CB and Safety. -
And Hines contract will get adjusted. He either takes a pay cut or his 2023 salary will get converted to a bonus and make him a one year rental.

The Bills are #3 wins from winning the Lombardi. Go Bills !

It will come down to Brown vs McKenzie on game day -
Not For Long (NFL)

Brady is the Quarterbacks Coach. not a consultant.

and both should have been won. Clay drops a TD in the end zone....and Josh throws a stinker to McKenzie in the end zone earlier this year.

Dorsey will interview with Carolina this weekend for head coaching job

Truly a game of inches ! Go Bills ! -
Is it just me or do we always let offenses convert 3rd downs on us?

If only we had the desired pass rush ! Go Bills! -
The chart tells me: There are a few good/great. teams There are a few bad/worst teams Every other team in the NFL is in the same league...Average. The Salary Cap has kept the competitive balance in the sport and allows bad teams to become great teams and with a few minor ticks the average teams can go from average to good or bad depending on the decision. It is truly a game of inches! Go Bills!

Tre appears to have lost a step. He is always a step behind the defenders.

Very good write-up on Josh Allen and the Bills this postseason

What about the shanked Kick off that gave great field position or the ensuing punt return that again gave great position for the Dolphins. There were many mistakes made in that span of time that allowed the Dolphins to tie the game. -
Then how would he know if the ball was snapped before the expiry?
-
This is a good point. I think that is the difference between Dorsey and Daboll. Dorsey is trying to live his dream (of being a SB QB) in Josh.
-
There is no proof for such speculation. Allen's capabilities may be influencing! Go Bills !

I think there is a failure on Dorsey's part to use James Cook in this offense. Disagree that we don't have talent at these positions. We may not have superstars at each of the position, but together they form a very diffcult to defend bunch. Knox, Singletary and Davis are no pushovers when they are together. The sum is greater than the individual part for the Buffalo Bills. Go Bills ! Dorsey needs to be creative to get James Cook more touches. Good things will happen -
The TV broadcasters keep mentioning that the Yellow Line on TV is NOT the official Down marker line. The only thing that is correct is the Chain and Down Marker.
-
The fumble at the beginning of 2nd half was not his fault. He had no shot to even protect the ball; the dolphins DL was already on him.

I never feel awful after a Bills win. The other guys get paid too. It was a hard fought battle with momentum swinging from one side to another. In the end, the experience of the Bills prevailed over the team that had several players playing in the playoffs for the first time
-
Remember the Dolphins were slow to getting plays in on the field. May be the call game in late and the Bills saw that they were not in a position to defend it.

Thompson's QB rating yesterday was 44. The Bills front four create enough pressure on the QB but don't get to the QB as often as they can do. The fumbles and TOs are missing
