  1. And both have had come-back victories to boot in the first two weeks of the season. And both have been pretty lucky...Both comebacks fall short if the TB guy does not make a bone headed play or if Kueckly does not PI with Stevie.
  2. And so did we...We lost to a weak Patriots at home and barely beat a self-defeating Panthers. While agree that the Jets are much closer to the Bills...While they may be ranked 30th against the run, they still are yet to give up a rushing TD.....They have forced the Panthers and Patriots to settle for FG when they have been in the Bills Redzone.
  3. The decision by Woods is an awesome piece of heads up play. He is definitely becoming one popular player (and probably a clutch one too)
  4. Wood is the heart and soul of this OL. When he is out there, our OL overall plays very well.
  5. May be the pass rush with pressure up front has something to do with that.
  6. I don't know why people are paranoid about those checkdowns...Even the great Manning and Brady often checkdown to their running backs. +1.
  7. May be they should whisper that in to his ear on every Sunday Morning And if you see the Marrone Miked up video, you can see Marrone really pumping Williams up. Praising him after every good play and pushing him to continue to excel more.
  8. More like a very good LG. We use the word great too loosely around here. The last great players to have walked on the field of RWS was Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly etc.. Even the father of all LGs in Buffalo Reuben Brown was only a very good LG. LG and RG are also as easier to find as DBs. The ones that are hard to find are LT and Center.
  9. I am sure that with CBS, Fox, NBC and the NFL holding broadcasting rights, the NFL Network (which is a different entity from the NFL corporation) would have had to fork a significant amount of money to re-broadcast all the games from the weekend, whereas it costs them nothing to repeat NFL Total Access!!!
  10. One was a Pro-Bowler and one of the best at his position. The other was a good player, but definitely not one of the best at his position in the league.
  11. Stats (From ESPN) on our 3rd down offense and defense: THIRD-DOWN OFFENSE This week: 20th (10 of 27, 37 percent) Last week: Tied-26th (4 of 13, 30.8 percent) THIRD-DOWN DEFENSE This week: Tied-29th (opponents 18 of 36, 50 percent) Last week: 26th (opponents 11 of 20, 55 percent) If they can fix this issue I think this team will go places. The defense needs to stop giving those 3rd and longs....
  12. I remember Moulds being a DB on a hail mary pass as he was tall enough to bat the ball away.
  13. 12 teams make the playoffs...If the playoffs started today, Denver, New England, Houston and Baltimore would be the division winners with Miami and one of the 1-1 teams making the playoffs.
  14. No. The coaching staff must be given every chance to install their philosophy and succeed. That same no-huddle helped them maintain the momentum and avoided substitutions by the Panthers on that last drive. If the no-huddle is not working by week 8, then criticism is warranted. You have to give this team a chance to execute what they have practiced.
  15. I have never seen any problems to opposing fans at Heinz Field. The Steeler fans simply make fun of them in good spirit.
  16. Because they scored more points than Carolina!
  17. I think Trent Edwards and Fitzpatrick made the same rounds when they had their teams starting the season 4-1 and ranked at the top of the power rankings.
  18. It is weird that fans voted for the Miami kicker for Week 1. I thought Geno Smith would have won it, having won his first game after playing mistake free. I think EJ has a good chance to win both the Rookie of the Week and the Never Say Never Drive of the week.
  19. +1. And it was good to see Marrone show his softer side when he broke down discussing the demise of one of his best friend. I think players respect and will play hard for such a coach.
  20. Actually that is a positive thing. In the past due to our crappy depth, we never could cut a guy who made mistakes and the players knew that.
  21. And for a rookie QB, think what he has brought to this team: 1. A poise and calmness in the huddle 2. Throws that his predecessors couldn't make 3. A team that believes in him wholeheartedly 4. A self belief in himself that he can win games. That defense does not restrict Carolina to two FGs in the 4th quarter if the QB was Fitzpatrick.
  22. I think the TOP was even until the end of 3rd quarter. The Bills had the ball only for 3:38 in the 4th quarter and yet the Bills scored a TD and FG whereas the Panthers were relegated to two FGs
  23. He played like Hines Ward!
  24. Once again our DBs provided great coverage the whole game...
