  1. Jill is simply one amazing women for what she has gone through in her life.
  2. That is what they said about the Colts. However, if the ball bounces your way a little, you can end up with 11 wins. The key is having a QB whom the team believes.
  3. You have the team improving on Defense and QB play and yet have them at the same tally as last season. Just doesn't add up. You can never predict on the next years schedule based on current standings as teams change dramatically. Last year we played 6 games in the AFC East, we will be playing the same 6 games in 2013. We went 2-4 last season with wins against Jets and Dolphins. We are more likely to go 3-3 with split with every one or possibly winning both games against the Jets and losing both to the Pats. 2012 - Wins were against KC, Cleveland, Arizona, Jax and lost close games to Titans, Colts and Rams. 2013 - We have winnable games against Carolina, Cleveland, Bengals, KC, TBay, JAX If they really improve their run defense and QB play, I could see them winning 8-9 games instead of 6 from last year and that would be progress as a result of the improvement in talent and execution.
  4. DT. I think Kyle Williams will be done this year. Pettine would need a big tackle to anchor his line.
  5. Eli Manning is an average QB who raises his game in the playoffs and has 2 SB to boot. Of course, everyone annoits Eli as a Franchise QB and a Top 5 QB in the league. I don't see any difference between Eli and Flaccoo. Both are extremely good game managers who have that extra gear for the playoffs. Any QB who is surrounded with great players will win the big games. In fact, one has to criticize Brady for not winning those two super bowls for the talent he had and the talent he faced (Those Giant teams were an average-mill-of-the-run teams. In fact, that same Giant team was almost ready to lose to the Bills on a cold and rainy day at Orchard park, but the Bills blew a big lead and committed mistakes in the 2nd half when Eli threw for 30 yards but won the game.).
  6. To be fair, those Bills teams also went against some of the "most stacked" NFC teams too. The two Cowboys teams and the Redskin team had equal or far more super stars than those Bills teams. The Bills teams had very average DBs, OL and DL talent. If Ted Washington could have made it to those SB teams, the Bills win one of those games. The closest would be Joe Gibbs, considering that he won 3 SBs with three different QBs. His stamp was in building great OL.
  7. I don't know if they really messed up. May be the Ravens are happy that it is a 3-year deal with Flacco and that they are not going to be stuck with him if he has 3 average seasons. Time will tell. Also, the Agent could be trumpeting this out just to promote himself to his potential future clients. And by being proactive too, it can come back to bite the team badly....Sad exhibits are Dick Jauron and Ryan Fitzpatrick!!! Flacco had a dream post-season....Just give credit to where it is due.
  8. The 1-15 turnaround also included Belichek as the DC. In Dallas, Parcells had the luxury of another great DC in Wade Phillips. Finally, his stint in Miami showed that he was indeed missing those key parts. Having said that, I would like to state that, NFL is the ultimate team sport and it requires all of them (53 players and the many Coaches) and excellent players at skill positions to put out a winning program. I don't think any one is rewriting history. Parcells was another good HC in the NFL.
  9. That is insulting. I don't think anyone, especially at Pro-Football level go out with the intention of being happy with a 8-8 record. I am sure all those 6-10 and 7-9 teams worked their butt off, but came short due to lack of talent at key positions and being out-coached by the other team. It doesn't mean that the team is happy making it to 8-8. +1. Is Moorman revealing his anger/upset at the Bills for cutting him during the middle of last year?
  10. Actually it was not just the fans. Even the big media hypes like John Clayton was boasting that the Bills will have one of the best front four and that things are looking good for the Bills this time around.
  11. Moorman has been signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers to compete with incumbent Butler. Here is a snippet from his comment to Post Gazette. Moorman, on the other hand, just seems to be thrilled to be on a team whose standard of what constitutes a good season is higher than most: It’s one of the big reasons I chose the Steelers,” Moorman said. “I have a deep belief that last year was definitely an anomaly with this organization. I’ve come from a team and played a long time when we weren’t too terribly upset with 8-8. I promise you that they are here.
  12. PTR, are you suggesting that the Bills front office listens to Fans whining ?
  13. I have said this many times. The ideal situation three years ago should have been to hire Fewell as our HC and bring in Chan as the OC. There was no need to run and hand over the HC to Gailey. Fewell had shown enough fire as an interim HC to have been given that shot.
  14. Actually we all do that every day. Our salaries remain a constant, whereas our CEO/CTO/CFOs keep adding bonuses and stock options to their portfolio as the company continues to succeed.
  15. And he doesn't yet have his 'own' QB. He is being pushed to give Michael Vick another chance. This was a big reason why Spurrier and other guys failed in the NFL. They did not have the luxury of a winning QB for their NFL program.
  16. In some sense yes. While Pettine had the DC title in New York, Rex Ryan still called the plays.
  17. If PlayAction works and the Running game can get chunk of yards, then it will automatically give more time and protection for the QB as the DB will shift back in coverage.
  18. And add in a rookie TE to that pool!! Though the Colts showed last year that they can allow their rookie WRs and TEs to blossom if they have a QB to throw the ball.
  19. When you have to fill up speaking-seats on NFLN, ESPNxxx channels, what quality do you expect. Byrd has also been on ****ty teams that cannot stop the run. May be if he plays on a team like the Steelers or Ravens, he can prove that he is as good or better than Polamalu or Ed Reed, both of whom benefit from a fantastic front seven.
  20. The Easter Bunny finally has woken up from its slumber and realized that it is late by couple of weeks every year and wants to make amends moving forward!!!
  21. And yet posters will say "It does not matter, as long as RW is the owner of this team" sigh.... Why stop at 7 ?
  22. It is a strange coincidence that two of the games greatest MLB retired in the same season. It is going to be a tough vote to Canton 5 years from now...Ray Lewis or Brian Urlacher? May be honestly these guys have lost a step. Remember, this game is all about speed. The day you lose your speed or ability to counter speed, you are done. What...I thought this board was of the opinion that the Bills Rookie class will be in the running for both OROY and DROY....and that is not discussion material!!
  23. We have seen debacle after debacle for the past 13 years....As long as they show promise and progress, what is the big deal in another frustrating year!
  24. The biggest problem with Freddie last year was his fumble issues. If he can correct them this off season, I have no problems. About 200+ players were drafted and 100+ players were signed as UDFAs in this years draft. Technically, about 300+ players have a chance to be DROY and OROY. The probability is pretty low.
