  1. Such stupid comparisons is what is getting old around here :wallbash:
  2. I understand with the #s...But in a very deep draft in talent, the Patriots were handed additional picks in every round to add more depth to their roster with some really good players. That is what hurts other teams. With that many picks the Patriots can pick the right players or wheel and deal them for picks next year.
  3. In fact, it doesn't even matter what the eagles or browns want to do. The Bills had him at the top of their chart and chose their #1 guy. I would rather pick my first choice rather than being dictated by someone else and then overpaying for it (like they did with JP Losman) +1. Sure wanted Barkley before the draft, but I think they can win with EJ..... EJ, CJ and TJ on the same field on Day 1....That is awesome This is actually an anti-buddy pick in some sense. The last two years they rated the QBs in the correct round and waited to pick them in those rounds and missed out on them...This time, they made sure that they got their guy (Whether the guy will succeed or not, that is a different issue). Agree. It is a pretty tough situation for Geno Smith. But that is why they get the big bucks. There are roughly 100 QBs playing the NFL every year. To be one of that 100, you got to show a lot of guts, maturity....In fact the draft was pretty harsh on many of the immature players today. No team wanted to take a flyer on a immature player.
  4. Why. Each QB needy team have visited with all these players multiple times and have their own sources in evaluating these players. I am sure NFL scouts are not reading into some random internet noise!. The biggest concern with Smith was his locking on to his primary receiver and his ability to handle tough situations.
  5. There will be a run on the QBs at the top of the 2nd round. I expect all the above to be available when the bills pick at 41 and 46
  6. Now that trade by the Patriots look like they Flinched the Vikings really badly for a "project" at WR!!!!
  7. He did bring Pettine from the Jets and he was not connected with him earlier on
  8. Great summary. I completely agree. The team needs to pick a QB in Rd 1 and not be short-changed by not having their choice in Rd 2.
  9. And the Bills would be in a bad spot at #41, with all the QB needy teams in front of them in Rd 2. They would absolutely have no chance to take a QB of any worth after those 7 QB needy teams.
  10. +1 I would rather pick Naasib or Barkley at #8 and get Woods @ #41. And with those picks......
  11. High School games end before the snow starts especially in West Chester PA
  12. The same people lived with Roscoe Parrish for 'what' like six or seven seasons and never saw him blossom into a true outstanding receiver for this team. He was always the 3rd best WR on this team.
  13. I also believe different countries have their own laws regarding gaming and prizes won from gaming. For example, if the prize was a car, one of the foreign country may issue that the game organizer would need to pay for all the import-duties and taxes and not put the burden on their tax payer. Secondly, I believe a business competition is a way to spread information about the product and also to get your email ID and telephone. These are typically regional.
  14. Dansby will get between 4-5M a year a 50% pay cut...I don't see him taking any less. One of the teams will pay him that money for a 2-year contract. Why? Do you need have lunch with him or something ?
  15. +1. The only perceived difference between Barkley and Naasib is that the later has a stronger arm. However, Barkley has played in a pro-style offense for 4 years and that is a big advantage. Either pick will work for the BIlls. They just have to bite the sniping from the ESPN Talking heads and pick one of these guys at #8 as both will not be there at #41. In fact, one or both of them may be even gone by pick #8 if the GMs play a different game tonight.
  16. +1. RIP Larry. It was good to see Larry pushing to get all those super starts of the 90s into the HOF. He succeeded with most of them, just couldn't get it done with Andre.
  17. But Wallace had Big Ben throwing the rock....TJ had Fitzpatrick throwing stones at his feet except for that one time against the Patriots.
  18. That! I love my work for what I want to do...I simply hate when money gets in the middle..... Did NIKE Pay you to say that And he had great difficulty winning the big ones against Tom Brady!!!
  19. And this is the first year in many years, where we don't even have a consensus #1 overall pick. The chiefs are yet to contact any player to discuss a contract. This is simply going to be one of the amazing drafts where all GMs are playing their cards so close to their vests that even their wives/GFs have no idea where they are going on the 27th.
  20. I don't know how one can get Barkley or Manuel in the 2nd round...There is Kansas City, Jacksonville, Oakland, Philadelphia, Arizona, Jets and Cleveland in front of us in the 2nd round (We only pick 41st)...If one of those teams jump and get Geno or Nassib, I don't know how Barkley will get past any of those teams (especially KC which will run a WC offense)
  21. +1. I can live with that. This board is going to explode when the Bills pick Barkley. I think there are plenty of doubters on this board regarding Barkley and his skills.
  22. He is 31 and asking price might be 8M/year range. Once he and his agent reduce their requests I am sure multiple team will want his services.
  23. The teams that are in best position for trade down or the ones from 25 to 32. A lot of the top-10 teams that need a QB would like to ensure that they get their QB of choice and will not wait in the 2nd round to get them. They are going to fight over each other to get to one of those late 1st rounders (and there by making the rich teams more richers) to draft their QBs. All the action is going to be at that spot.
  24. The only problem is the salary expectation. The guy was cut from the Dolphins because his per-year salary was $8M. Now do the Bills have enough cash to make that kind of commitment?
