  1. Only if they can trade down. They still have a hole at OG, TE and WR not to mention LB and CB...Sigh....so many holes and only 6 picks.
  2. 2nd and 3rd - WR and LB...Don't care what order. This has to be a Offensive minded draft. We have spent far too much money and picks on the defensive side in the past three seasons. It is time for the coaches on that side to design plays with the current roster.
  3. Disagree...What does consensus mean here with regards to the so called NFL experts or talking heads. If the Bills truly believe they will pick a possible Franchise QB, they are going to get him at #8 if he is available. They are not going to put themselves in a position where they have to trade back into the 1st round to get their guy. They will simply play their board and pick the BPA in Rd 2 and 3 to fill their open holes at G, LB and/or TE. The Bills lost out last year by waiting too long hoping to draft Russel Wilson....They lost out when they couldn't trade up before the Steelers to get Ben Rothelisberger. I just hope they don't do the *waiting* game again The probability of finding a Franchise QB in next years draft is the same as finding a franchise QB in this years draft. There are no guarantees and even if there are QBs like Luck available next year, there is no guaratee that the Bills will have the top three pick to pick those QBs.
  4. +1. And I think Barkley has got it all. The Winds of Buffalo has been so overrated for the past decade...Let us first get a QB who can get us through November and then we can talk about December. If Barkley is available @ 8, the Bills better get him.
  5. Of all the QBs of this class, Barkley is the most accomplished pro-ready QB and is also familiar with the WCO. I have to really think Barkley is that guy
  6. BTW, it was not just Bill Walsh, Even Steve Mariucci was gushing as to how Edwards never lost a game as a HS player and how he played in Stanford. Edwards had some good intangibles, but with the kitty offense run by our coaching staff, there was no chance for him to succeed. Actually he had one of his best games 2 weeks later against the San Diego Chargers!!
  7. You should continue to drink your kool-aid :-)
  8. The guy had 4 fumbles in 10 games in 2012. That is simple not excusable.
  9. +1. Shows the inner and outer strength of this very gifted man. Long live Ralph! Why is our team sucking in mediocrity tied with this owner (and his health)....It is not Ralph's fault that Nix hired Chan Gailey as his HC and misfired on his drafts.
  10. Jimmy Graham and Hernandez catch passes from Brees and Brady...It is not apples to apples comparison.
  11. They said the same for New Orleans...A team that barely had made to a playoff game in over a decade...And with the right coaching staff and the right QB, they were able to pull it off, in the midst of a hurricane attack. Winning a super bowl for the Bills would be like......nothing else in this world.... Kyle was injured..>Dareus was in Mourning....Williams was playing with a bad wrist the 1st half of the seasons....and we had the worst LB crew in the league where each one was free-lancing. If you straighten this out (which falls on the shoulder of the coaching staff), this defense can go places.
  12. +1. As a GM, Nix has responsibility for drafting and signing FAs/ The body of work is only complete when both options must be considered.
  13. Possibly OG too, if the draft falls that way.
  14. Tampa's offer works only if we can then package our 2nd with our 3rd or 4th to move up above Arizona/Jax/Oakland/Jets in the 2nd round to get our QB of choice. Otherwise, I would pick the Minnesota deal, where we would still have the choice of QB in late Rd 1.
  15. Unfortunately, none of these guys have excelled as a top 5 WR in the league. At #8, I want to have a difference maker that is a Top-5 in the league. CBs in the NFL are much more physical than in college and a 5' 7" body cannot take that kind of hits.
  16. A 5' 7" 179lb WR will just get killed in the NFL. We had one of those for 7-8 years in Parrish before finally realizing that just speed is not enough. +1. And even if Barkley is not there, we have the ammo to package the 2nd and 3rd (and still have another 2nd) to move back into the 1st to get Nassib or Wilson
  17. Also it is sad that you would put 3 home games again in December. I hope the Bills play no more than 2 games in December this year....Otherwise those last three games will not sell out.
  18. I think Levitre is a very good OL (Not just an average one as you say). However, paying 8M a year for a guard (even for an extremely good one) is not the way to build the franchise. Good players give home town discounts to good teams...Levitre chose not to and the bills chose not to pay premium money.
  19. And the weather probably doesn't help (especially for the faculty that are immigrants). And finally those NY State Taxes are just a huge burden
  20. During the same period, the seahawks tried Whitehurst, Jackson, Flynn at the QB position and finally caught the genie in the bottle in Wilson. Let us not forget all the failures of that regime. If our defense does tighten up, then may be the Bills do not go into rebuilding mode.
  21. Until 1991, they were all called "State University of New York" @ <put your favorite city>. Then in 1992, they decide to rename them as University at <Put your favorite city> . SUNY Albany (Alma mater) sounded much more cooler than University at Albany....
  22. This. Also, I think they wanted a change in the locker room mentality. The Bills have been too laid back and bringing an outside competition may be a good thing. Fitz had reached his ceiling as a starting QB, Kolb hasn't yet (but getting close)! and an improvement in his (Spiller) ability to pick up the Blitz would give the QB time to throw the ball deep.
  23. I don't see how he beats out Kolb. TJ will once again be our 3rd string QB or cut in training camp (if the Bills take 2 QBs in the draft)
  24. The bills would have to get a WR in those two rounds,....They simply cannot draft 2 LBs in the 1st two rounds. Geno and Barkley are likely top-15 picks. EJ, Nassib and/or Wilson are likely to go in bottom 10 of the 1st round or the top of the 2nd round. Bray, and the rest will be available in the 3rd round.
