  1. If your RB is the most important player on your offense you don't have an offense. Bills fans should understand this.
  2. You put Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers on that KC team and they don't throw for 50 TDs. They are HOF QBs and have never come close to that number. That's how good of a season this kid had.
  3. Yeah. The NFL MVP would be of no use to us.....
  4. Inside LB coach. They actually have another guy for outside LBs. So he's basically coaching 4 people lol
  5. I'm of the opinion that the conference title games have typically been more exciting anyways.
  6. Just a little bit early for this.
  7. Hmm 30 years old in May and has only played a full 16-game schedule twice in his career. He's a tremendous talent but keeping him on the field is a lottery ticket. I'd love to see him on the team at a reasonable salary but I think some team is going to break the bank for him.
  8. It's a very interesting topic, but the Jags would only get $11M of cap relief in 2019. I certainly don't think any team would part with a 2nd round pick for that. Then again the Jags financials are a complete mess and they will be forced to cut Dareus and Gipson this offseason and they will still be in rough shape, but I don't think they are that desperate yet. But yeah, that would be an incredible move for us if that scenario arises. Edit: Ahh never mind, they can simply release him post June 1st and realize a cap savings of $9.5M, which means the Osweiler plan is likely D.O.A.
  9. The Saint's previous "cap space hell" issue had nothing to do with Brees contract, and everything to do with Loomis's reckless overspending. Ironically, Brees actually covers up a large portion of his GMs missteps and is likely the only reason he still has a job. The "rookie-QB window" is basically a fallacy and only an issue for GM's that don't know how to properly construct a roster, and even then it isn't a problem if the QB is exceptionally great.
  10. The story after the game is the same one we've been hearing for a decade -- Brady masterful, especially when it counts and Belichick is a genius. I mean, it's true, but it really is lazy reporting. If that last pick counted the narrative would have been completely different. You would have heard questions such as "When's the last time Brady threw 3 INT's in a big game? When's the last time Brady choked on a game winning drive with an INT? When's the last time Belichick, the master of halftime adjustments, got outcoached in the 2nd half and saw his defense get steamrolled to the tune of 31 pts? Completely different takes all because a guy lined up a 1/2 yd Offside.
  11. Ouch, I feel for the Chiefs fans. Dee Ford lining up in the neutral zone is going to haunt them for a long time.
  12. I don't think it's possible to ruin an offense quarterbacked by Rodgers, but this might test that theory.
  13. Every Watkins thread is a testament to how hard it is to admit you're wrong on the internet. Julio Jones? I'm really hoping Reggie Ragland can muster a tackle in the 2nd half so we can lament losing the next Luke Kuechly.
  14. Incredible talent. truly one of the game's best WR's. Very reasonable contract as well. But that attitude....ugh. He's a diva and a flake rolled into one. I'm of the opinion that this could easily backfire. This guy has had the luxury of playing with a HOF QB his entire career and he has a meltdown if he doesn't get his 1,500 yards. What's he going to do if he struggles to get 1,000 yards with a 2nd year QB? He comes across as a me-first guy and not a team player.
  15. You're absolutely right about that. The only people on the planet that wouldn't make that trade live in Buffalo.
  16. Oh man, might as well fit him for a jersey tomorrow. Is there any possibility this doesn't happen? I have no issues with a cheap 1-year deal, but based on their brief history of overpaying for former players, I'm skeptical this ends well.
  17. Great news for the rest of the division!
  18. Absolutely. This has to happen, it makes too much sense. It wasn't really possible before 1990 since the Superbowl followed the typical schedule of one week off, and you wouldn't want teams to play a championship on short rest. Since they switched to two weeks off a.k.a. let's hype this thing like crazy, there's no reason not to have it on a Saturday.
  19. He wasn't under pressure, he was truly clueless about how to construct a roster long term. His philosophy was "Win Now" and he focused on building a team through free agency. His spending was unconscionable. He traded draft picks away like candy. "Bryce Brown? Sure, we'll give you a 4th round pick for him" Hey, we got 36 whole carries out of that deal! His entire approach to team-building was flawed, and that's why he will never be an NFL GM again. Ever. Those were some of the darkest years of the drought, because his firing was inevitable (at least it was to some). If anyone still thinks Doug was a competent GM or that "Rex got him fired," they simply don't understand the duties of a GM past what's required for their fantasy league.
  20. This is very true, and something I was thinking about as I watched Peters neutralize Khalil Mack earlier.
  21. Yeah I don't see him making the team, but no doubt he's a cheap low risk signing.
  22. I'm very surprised (stunned actually) to see over 90% in approval, but I think recency bias from the last game has a lot to do with that number. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a season where the Chicken Littles cried so much.
  23. Isn't Kiko a repeat offender? He sure looked like a guy trying to take his frustrations out with a late hit.
  24. You have to be very careful with tackle stats and LBs. He was statistically excellent vs the Pats (11 tackles .5 sack) but his play on the the field was poor (273 rush yds). Bills PR Dept indeed.
