  1. He's fine situationally, and sometimes can get to the QB, but he's a serious liability on runs to the outside and all coverage. He's very overrated though, and his best asset to the team is his experience and leadership. His contract was needless, and I would rather have kept Woods with that money.
  2. It's difficult to properly assess this OC because he had Taylor at QB. Each week he was bringing a knife to a gun fight and some weeks we pulled it off. I have no opinion of Dennison at the moment and would like to see how the offense ticks with a QB that hits receivers in stride, throws an accurate deep ball, and challenges the defense with pre-snap reads.
  3. Really? Please go find me game winning touchdown drives in Divisional playoff games from Tyrod. I'll make it easier, just go find me playoff touchdowns from Tyrod.
  4. I would be pissed if we traded our two firsts for a 7th overall pick. I just think that's a dumb move. Take your QB and the BPA when our back-to-back picks come around.
  5. He'll be a HC again soon enough. His 7 win season with the Browns is practically an undefeated season by normal NFL standards.
  6. Kelly playing for Houston in the USFL on the TV?
  7. Tyrod could have had Jerry Rice, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens in their prime out there yesterday and we still would have scored just three points.
  8. If Lorenzo Alexander is back as a starter we are in trouble.
  9. Not to be a dick, but are you actually interested in a McDermott presser? He seems like a good motivator and time will tell about his coaching decisions, but the book is closed on his press conferences. He's way too serious, never gives any info, and fluffs every answer with PR speak that he thinks sounds eloquent (it doesn't). I like McDermott, but I'd rather listen to a Barbara Streisand record than listen to him tell us again that the team needs to be better, the players trust the process, they're building for the future and that the he liked what he saw from literally anyone he's ever been asked about ever.
  10. This probably isn't the post to go off like this, and I apologize in advance... I only skimmed the rest of your post after reading the quotes above, but how can you think he's solid and go on to admit he has deficiencies in areas that are bare minimum for starting QBs in the NFL? Am I missing something? Does everyone get some sort of reward when they mention Tyrod is average or solid, or "the best we've had in the drought"? This guy has our team near or at the very bottom in all team passing stats for three years now. We have a leading receiver with season catch totals in the 20's. I think it's safe to say that Tyrod is bad. It should no longer be hip to add in any disclaimers before you mention how bad he is. He's not average. He's not solid. He's the reason we lost our first playoff game in 17 years and he had an absolutely terrible season. Did he throw a lot of interceptions? No, but he forgot to score points, and that matters more.
  11. McCoy did a video-game-like spin move at full speed. Pretty sure he was at or near 100%. Classic Tyrod. Even when he's 25 feet tall he can't see the field.
  12. I was at the game so I didn't listen to the broadcast and I didn't record it and it was such a boring game I don't plan on re-watching, but I'm curious... how critical were they of Taylor? From my seat it looked like there were open receivers on plays where Taylor threw it away. Did they mention that on the broadcast?
  13. Hilarious. Feels good not to be the one hiring coaches that will obviously fail.
  14. I was never high on Cousins but I paid close attention to him this year. They didn't have a great line in Washington, but I would pass. He doesn't come off as a "gamer". His ceiling is probably more like that of Jay Cutler's career. I'd rather draft a guy in the first, sign a lower tier vet, and have them battle with Peterman in the offseason. If we want to make a big jump quickly, I don't think Cousins is the answer.
  15. As far as these coaches are concerned, conservatism has paid off so far, and I don't expect anything different. I don't think we need to win a shootout to take this game, and I think the coaches will view ball security as a premium. I think we should absolutely run Tyrod wild though. We have nothing to lose. Just roll him out with a couple levels every single play. It's almost impossible to defend, and I think it would tire out their linebackers.
  16. I loved how he was watching and rooting the offense on while getting his cramp worked out. The way he was the first to notice Kyle in at full back was hilarious.
  17. Flying in from LA with my girlfriend and friend. Plan on meeting another group of 4. I expect Saturday to be insane. Same haha
  18. It would be one of the greatest stories in all of sports if Aaron Rogers was claimed by the Browns after an administrative error and brought a championship to Cleveland.
  19. Can we scratch you?
  20. Blows my mind that people don't understand why we are bashing Tyrod. We're not saying he's the worst ever or anything outrageous. We're simply saying that his limitations are really escalated when you're losing late in the game. It gets annoying needing a perfect defense and the moons to align just right to win every game. It would be nice to have a QB bail us out every now and then.
  21. I'd take Gilleslee in a fight because sometimes endurance comes into play. I don't know for sure that Tolbert is out of shape, but he probably would be catching his breath soon after the start. I strongly considered selecting Tolbert because of his size, but then I realized that Tolbert mostly just runs straight at people which isn't a sound tactic. He could sit on TD Mike, but I don't want to ignore the fact that Mike is also a professional athlete, and I believe it might be hard to sit on a professional athlete if they're also fighting you.
  22. Umm... The point of '96 was that Bledsoe inherited a crappy team when he was drafted three years prior. It's the very thing you're giving Luck credit for doing. They're very similar and their comparison is important because we literally acquired Bledsoe after an injury riddled season around the same time in his career that you're talking about getting Luck.
  23. How old are you? You do realize that Bledsoe played in a Super Bowl in 96 right? Your argument about the team talent is ridiculous and makes me think you don't remember that era very well. From Wikipedia: Under his tenure as starting quarterback, the Patriots ended an eight-season postseason drought, qualified for the playoffs six times, and made one Super Bowl appearance. In his second season with the team, he was named to the 1995 Pro Bowland was the youngest quarterback to appear in the NFL's all-star game at the time.
