  1. I saw him in person this year and made a point to focus on his awareness. Let's just say that I don't get the hype.
  2. In this instance it didn't even save 4 seconds really. It made no sense.
  3. I'm mostly on your side. If anything I felt the guy I quoted undersold the Bertuzzi incident.
  4. Very hard for me to sympathize with the Giants. Welcome to football purgatory. They'll be here with us as long as it takes them to find a franchise QB.
  5. I could care less about a 15 yard penalty with the game over. "As it is" the refs found a way penalize us more than them after that anyways.
  6. Preston Brown should have ruined him instead of crying to the ref.
  7. My favorite blunder was the timeout he took with 2:04 after 3rd down. The game was over so it didn't matter, but it was so wrong that it has me concerned.
  8. We're the same as always. Inexplicably average.
  9. What makes you think that an ultra conservative guy like McDermott is going to hire an OC that will be much different than Dennison? I'm not even sure that I want Dennison gone. His biggest fault to me is changing to the zone run scheme and not going back to man when it didn't work.
  10. None of that matters. He's in the exact same camp as Losman, Bledsoe, even EJ... he did not lead us to the playoffs. He's simply not good enough. It's time to move on. It doesn't matter to me where you want to rank him.
  11. I've never seen a team rely on the referees as much as the Seahawks at home. They seem to get every call, it's insane.
  12. 100%. If you're a WR and Tyrod is your QB you're basically screwed.
  13. Ragland looks like a legit NFL LB as well. I'm sure they'll fill the 10 holes they've created in the offseason though
  14. I would say: 1. Bledsoe 2. Flutie 3. Fitzpatrick 4a. Taylor 4b. Orton The "best since Kelly" narrative is both wrong and pointless. If you don't lead us to the playoffs it doesn't matter anyways. There have been several games in his career here where the defense stepped up and Taylor was lost. It seemed to happen the most in big games. I have very few memories of a Taylor leading the team to a defining victory.
  15. He would definitely win the high school national championship if given the chance.
  16. I can't believe they trotted Brady out for their last drive, and I also can't believe no one went for a late hit on him as he was passing with a 20 point lead and 2 minutes to go.
  17. This is my last reply on this topic because I've had this exact conversation too many times, but I never once said 300 yards, and I have no fascination with that number. Taylor throws for an average of like 180. We have no passing attack. All team stats during his tenure confirm this. We consistently finish in the bottom half or even last in passing. Without a passing attack you cannot win games consistently. You need to rely on crazy good defense (sound like the beginning of the season?) or an insane rushing attack (sound like the previous 2 years where we literally led the league in rushing) just to win enough to be around .500 without a legitimate passing attack. I don't care at all about advanced stats, which considering how analytical I am in all other facets of my life, should tell you all you need to know about why I watch sports. It's not to read the numbers on the back of a card. It's to watch these athletes perform, come together as a team, and win games while representing Buffalo, NY.
  18. What in the world does that even mean here?? I'm not trying to operate a business efficiently, I'm a sports fan that wants to see his team look like a modern NFL offense for a change. This is a passing league. We need to score to win. We need gross points. Gross touchdowns. How dumb do you think we are that we don't understand the concept of weighted averages??? People bring up passing yards because Tyrod's famous TD to INT ratio doesn't win you games in the same fashion that Brady's yards and TD's do. BTW - when people cite the passing yards... we're not doing it because we're too dumb to understand "advanced stats". We're doing it because you can just about throw all those advanced stats out the window if your QB isn't a passing threat.
  19. They like to add in his rushing stats with his passing so it makes his yards total less ridiculous. Before anyone chimes in... I understand the value in his rushing ability, and it's easily his best strength - not to be overlooked. I also don't see people coupling Brady's passing and rushing stats.
  20. To be fair, if it's one game with my life on the line it's possible I'm picking Eli over almost any QB of the last 20 years.
  21. I always forget that we don't get absolutely blown out every Patriots game. Looking back through them it's more frustrating the few times that we've outplayed them and still found a way to lose.
  22. So now it's the OC? How original. Maybe Tyrod will bloom after his fourth coordinator comes into town.
