These are the types of receivers I've always wanted the Bills to grab and even overlooking their injuries, they will never be properly used in this offense. I don't know if that's a slight on the scheme, the coaches or the QB's, but I'm done caring about which receiver we trot out there.

This is my favorite take on the last week of Bills football. We're getting killed out there and the coach tried to shake it up rather than take his team to the slaughterhouse.

What happened? It wasn't long ago that we hadn't given up a passing TD all year. Now it's a guarantee. It looks to me like all it takes is an experienced veteran QB, and they will be able to pick apart this defense. It's not a necessarily innovative defense, but we won 5 of our first 7 because they were opportunistic and played fast to their spots even if they were caught out of position.

Luck is...quite possibly... the most overrated athlete of my lifetime.

You think the team that prefers handing the ball off to Tolbert when McCoy is too tired will have a patchwork emergency playbook ready to go to utilize a "Slash" QB? If Peterman does well, my prediction is one gimmick play in the remaining 7 games with Taylor. Probably nothing too cute, and something as simple as he lines up as a WR and they do a fake end around to him.

But...it isn't one game. If the defense doesn't have a monster game with clutch turnovers Tyrod comes up short. Constantly. I don't know how even a handful of people outside of his extended family are clinging on to the theory that his bad games are the outliers. You're a respected poster, but this is not the side you want to be on when the season is over. Tyrod was a 3-year stop gap. It's very likely that he will retire having never played a down in the playoffs. You need so much to go your way to win games with his ultra conservative play that when things aren't going well it becomes a 3 and out machine which makes for the worst football imaginable.

From that list P. Brown is probably gone. A bit slow for the "process" but not bad enough to get a cheap contract. If Tyrod stays there's no point in even trying to re-sign Matthews since 3 catches in a game automatically becomes your season high and I don't know why anyone would sign up for that. I don't have a lot of faith, but I'm hoping this front office realizes things like giving L. Alexander a new contract is absolutely ridiculous.

I would like the Bills to just once make the playoffs. I think Peterman is going to have to compete with whoever we bring in next year anyways, so he might never get a handle to develop the way you want.

I don't think teams spend time splitting first team reps with QBs. You have to make a decision and stick with it.
