  1. I keep seeing Garcon thrown around a lot. The 49ers signed him to a five-year, $47.5 million. Wouldn't you rather have Woods for 5 years $39 million? Seems like it would be a completely backwards move.
  2. There is no truer testament to Tyrod being a horrible passer than when his biggest fan thinks a 225 yard game is something to write home about.
  3. There's not a real deep threat out there (unless you count 31 yr old Eddie Royal), but there are some legitimate options that we could have brought in for a visit. Here's a list of some WRs available with at least 10 receiving TDs: Eddie Royal Victor Cruz Cecil Shorts Vincent Jackson Stevie Johnson Rod Streater - I actually thought this would have made the most sense Notable guys that might be worth grooming: Dorial Green-Beckham (only 6 TDs, but a former 2nd rd guy, age 24) Marquess Wilson (25 years old, started 14 games over a few seasons in CHI)
  4. What, you're not excited about the signing of a 28 year old with 3 career receiving TD's?
  5. As much as I think the front office has mishandled the RB situation this season (both in roster selection and snap counts), I think it's very disingenuous to label Mike Tolbert as a FB.
  6. Dennison played TE and WR in college. I have no idea why it would matter though... He's a former professional football player with 20 years experience coaching in the league. I'm pretty sure he's qualified to be an offensive coordinator.
  7. What are you talking about? That's an easy one. Tyrod needs to release quicker and "throw his receiver open" by leading him up field. He waited too long and actually it became a dangerous pass by the time he lobbed it downfield. I have no idea how you could think Logan Thomas is covered at the start of the rollout.
  8. Who is the fanboy here? Kind of seems like you, dude.
  9. Joe Banyard's zero carries is a mystery to me. It would seem he's the McCoy style back-up, yet we've never used him.
  10. What WR has excelled with Tyrod as QB?
  11. I think he's pretty great, what are you talking about?
  12. It's amazing to me that he is 26. It would be an incredible story if he was able to figure it out and get his life back together, but more likely he's probably just broke.
  13. I haven't found a reason to blame Dennison specifically. It seems like a lot of our woes have come down to a lack of execution. The lack of a passing game is our biggest issue, and I'm certainly not going to blame Dennison for that.
  14. It always seems that way before the throw though. Coverage swarms in quicker than it looks on the screenshots. I would have loved to have seen a chance though. Taylor looked like he just wanted to go home.
  15. I understand that most QB's will have a losing record if they're trailing, that just makes sense...but this stat basically means if we are losing in the game by more than a field goal, we've already lost the game.
  16. Not a chance. Three huge turnovers and a big punt return, they gave us plenty of chances to put this game away.
  17. No, not at all. I'm saying being 3-2 is not convincing me that this team is real. I said the same thing at 3-1. Exactly. I've been here before. Like 17 times before.
  18. I couldn't imagine watching this team and thinking Shady was the problem.
  19. Sure, but my point is that this record does not indicate anything about where the team is headed. We're on par with any of our recent 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 seasons without the playoffs. Mind you, I'm not ruling out a turn around. Maybe we get healthy and go on a run, but the 3-2 record does nothing to get my hyped anymore.
  20. How many third down sacks did we take? Absolute drive killers.
  21. So what? We were 3-2 last year weren't we? I feel like we're 3-2 or 4-3 every single year.
  22. They say this every year. Tyrod is also not going to take this team to the promised land. It's not really worth debating though. The franchise will make the right call here. For once I have faith.
  23. I agree that it's never going to happen. The defense had three big turnovers and a huge punt return, and the offense just did not step up. That last series has happened way too many times with Tyrod under center. It's still very early, but at this point it's really just see what happens this season, then leverage our picks to try and get a franchise QB. Let him battle with Peterman in the offseason. Edit: "try to get" added.
  24. I have no idea how to grade an offensive coordinator, but I'm pretty sure he didn't dial up a hold-onto-the-ball-and-take-a-sack play every crucial third down.
