I think you are using your own personal opinion on how talented their roster is as a fact. The only facts I'm using are their age, their playoff success, and their hype coming into the league. If you want to sit in the weeds debating the level of talent on the teams you can do that until your face turns blue, I don't care. Whether you like it or not, Luck has been underwheing as "the next great QB" while playing in one of the worst divisions in football. If you want to blame GMs or blame other circumstances, that's perfectly fine. It has nothing to do with what I'm alleging.

Your judgement of QB play is too reliant on the quality of the roster. Only one thing matters. Bledsoe at 29 had been to more super bowls than Luck, and had more playoff wins. They were both highly touted 1st overall QBs. It's an apt comparison.
-
I never said he wasn't good. He's obviously good. I'm talking about being overrated. It's becoming a pedantic argument anyways, but acquiring him would be eerily similar to when we got Bledsoe.

I don't understand how you can be a generational talent and still get the benefit of the doubt with roster talent. Andrew Luck will be 29 years old to start next season and he will have 3 playoff wins to his name. Keep in mind his division has been absolute JOKE his whole career. He's no slouch, don't get me wrong, but he's simply not this world beater I've been hearing about for years. Acquiring Luck would be very similar to when we got Bledose, who was a 30 year-old former 1st overall QB with 4 playoff wins to his name.

He could very be the most overrated athlete of my lifetime. He's not bad, obviously, but he isn't even close to what he was projected to be.

Meanwhile at Finheaven, feeling good about Cutler vs Bills

Classic Fitzpatrick 4th quarter INT with the lead. -
I want to keep Glenn. I've never been someone to hold nagging injuries against a player (except Jarius Byrd...there's just something about that guy...). I really hope we're not trying to trade him for a 4th round pick. Handing talent away for nothing is frustrating. If Glen can fully heal, he will be a starting LT for possibly 10 years.

Yes, he is a wall of fame guy. No, I'm not a wall of fame guy.

The “Billsiest” way for the season to end
fridge replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Billsiest way: - We win the two dolphins games, lose to Patriots - Chiefs beat chargers, but each team goes 2-1 down the stretch - Baltimore falls apart - We end up in a tie for sixth with the chargers - We lose the tiebreak because of our head to head record, aka the Peterman situation -
Aaron Williams still looking to come back

Why do people always make this suggestion in threads about ex-players? "Fred Jackson? Too slow. But I'd hire him as RB coach in a heart beat!" -
Boger is pretty terrible. His crew has only officiated in two playoffs since he became a ref 11 years ago. He routinely averages higher penalties/game than the league average and he is pretty much the poster boy for the "flag-happy" referee generation. No matter how you slice it, I think it's pretty bad.

Which is what scares some of us about the coaching staff/GM. -
Ralph Wilson Quotes Himself While Firing John Butler

Are you seriously that up tight? This is funny. I'm sure even Ralph would have a laugh about it if he were alive...and not senile. -

How are we the #6 seed? I'm confused
fridge replied to estro613's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Baltimore and Buffalo are ahead of the L.A. Chargers based on conference record (Ravens' 5-4 and Bills' 5-4 to the Chargers' 4-5). Buffalo is ahead of Baltimore based on strength of victory (.404 to the Ravens' .381). -

Nathan Peterman in Concussion Protocol

It's scary enough to think Peterman needs to start in these games down the stretch, but Joe Webb... Let's hope Tyrod is ready to go next week. -
That's not true at all. No one in their right mind would say they should have punted there.

Sorry if it was unclear. By always I was implying since Brandon took over. Within context it makes sense and of course it was packed when we were good. I really just think the credit Brandon gets is laughable. We're inherently a passionate fan base and he deserves no credit for that. A quick, and un-scientific example... This year Cleveland is averaging a 86.3% attendance rate. The last time we were that terrible... Chan Gailey's first year (2010), our attendance rate was 86.5%.
-
How do you figure? The team has always had poor attendance in the final couple games of the season.
-
I forgot about that one. This is all foreshadowing to the inevitable clock blunder he's going to make in a crucial game.
