  1. I'm not saying you're wrong, but could you share some metrics that support the idea that Cousins has been lighting up the league? A quick glance shows that he's been pretty pedestrian. Of course, pedestrian is a giant upgrade over Taylor, but at what cost?
  2. My point isn't effective? Buddy, we had Shady for two years where we lead the league in rushing and missed the playoffs just the same. We've drafted Travis Henry, McGahee, Lynch, and Spiller during the drought -- all of whom were just fine for us at different points. We got some of our best production out of a 5th round pick (K. Williams), and a street free agent (Mike Gillislee) as recently as last year. If we had just used Fred Jackson as our starter during his time here, those Lynch and Spiller picks could have been additional 1st round impact players at other positions. If my point isn't effective, it's because you're clueless.
  3. It blows my mind that Bills fans exist that want to draft a RB. Was our 17 year drought not enough evidence of how little a star running back helps your team? Get a guy off the street that weighs half as much as Tolbert and we’re fine.
  4. How good is Kirk Cousins though? He’s not exactly tearing the league up.
  5. What an exaggeration.
  6. The feeling is mutual.
  7. I don’t follow the Bills for the soap-opera-scoops, so consider me in the camp that thinks these “insider posts” should be banned.
  8. Now I'm curious. What do YOU think a football message board should look like? What topics are we allowed to discuss? I hope that by asking this I'm not acting like "complete sludge."
  9. We ran several spread formations on Sunday. We rolled out Taylor PLENTY of times. What you're suggesting -- that we somehow limited him by not changing the entire offense to literally pop warner level play calling -- isn't even true. We DID alter the offense significantly for Taylor. You still have to call plays where the QB throws from the pocket. And stop referring to last year like it was any different. Taylor's stats, indicated in this very thread, prove that over 44 games he's been incredibly ineffective. His biggest strength, not turning the ball over, is completely mitigated by his inability to score.
  10. That's fine. You can blame Dennison all you want, but the only constant over three seasons and three OC's is that our passing offense has ranked literally at the bottom. I tend to think there's a much larger correlation you're missing here...
  11. The scheme change is why he couldn't hit any deep balls this season? Hot take.
  12. Is that Dennison's fault? You make it sound like there's some magical offensive scheme with Tyrod where all of the sudden he's unstoppable. We called plenty of roll-out style pass plays in the second half of the season. We called several designed QB runs. What do you want Dennison to do exactly?
  13. More than half the time he doesn't throw for 200 yards. I'm sorry, but this isn't rugby. Time to move on.
  14. He's fine situationally, and sometimes can get to the QB, but he's a serious liability on runs to the outside and all coverage. He's very overrated though, and his best asset to the team is his experience and leadership. His contract was needless, and I would rather have kept Woods with that money.
  15. It's difficult to properly assess this OC because he had Taylor at QB. Each week he was bringing a knife to a gun fight and some weeks we pulled it off. I have no opinion of Dennison at the moment and would like to see how the offense ticks with a QB that hits receivers in stride, throws an accurate deep ball, and challenges the defense with pre-snap reads.
  16. Really? Please go find me game winning touchdown drives in Divisional playoff games from Tyrod. I'll make it easier, just go find me playoff touchdowns from Tyrod.
  17. I would be pissed if we traded our two firsts for a 7th overall pick. I just think that's a dumb move. Take your QB and the BPA when our back-to-back picks come around.
  18. He'll be a HC again soon enough. His 7 win season with the Browns is practically an undefeated season by normal NFL standards.
  19. Kelly playing for Houston in the USFL on the TV?
  20. Tyrod could have had Jerry Rice, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens in their prime out there yesterday and we still would have scored just three points.
  21. If Lorenzo Alexander is back as a starter we are in trouble.
  22. Not to be a dick, but are you actually interested in a McDermott presser? He seems like a good motivator and time will tell about his coaching decisions, but the book is closed on his press conferences. He's way too serious, never gives any info, and fluffs every answer with PR speak that he thinks sounds eloquent (it doesn't). I like McDermott, but I'd rather listen to a Barbara Streisand record than listen to him tell us again that the team needs to be better, the players trust the process, they're building for the future and that the he liked what he saw from literally anyone he's ever been asked about ever.
  23. This probably isn't the post to go off like this, and I apologize in advance... I only skimmed the rest of your post after reading the quotes above, but how can you think he's solid and go on to admit he has deficiencies in areas that are bare minimum for starting QBs in the NFL? Am I missing something? Does everyone get some sort of reward when they mention Tyrod is average or solid, or "the best we've had in the drought"? This guy has our team near or at the very bottom in all team passing stats for three years now. We have a leading receiver with season catch totals in the 20's. I think it's safe to say that Tyrod is bad. It should no longer be hip to add in any disclaimers before you mention how bad he is. He's not average. He's not solid. He's the reason we lost our first playoff game in 17 years and he had an absolutely terrible season. Did he throw a lot of interceptions? No, but he forgot to score points, and that matters more.
  24. McCoy did a video-game-like spin move at full speed. Pretty sure he was at or near 100%. Classic Tyrod. Even when he's 25 feet tall he can't see the field.
