I can say the same about you. If you blindly support Allen and take everything the front office does as gospel then I know for a fact you’ve never seen him play a game.

I agree with you. It does a disservice to the MAC to compare it to the Mountain West. I was grasped by at straws trying to compare him to Big Ben.

Big Ben was great in college though. They both played in terrible conferences, but the comparison stops there.

I don’t see how this is an issue at all. If we draft a QB and McCarron starts, that should mean he beat out the rookie in camp, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If he’s saying fans don’t want to draft a QB because we have McCarron, we’ll then yeah - they’re insane and not worthy of a blog article on a local radio show website, or even a message board post.

Who cares? Thread policing is pointless. It's a message board, not a sacred text. The discussions that people are most interested in will always have the most engagement, regardless of your opinion. I don't like the rumor threads at all, but if the majority of the people do, then let them discuss it. I don't have an issue with your thread either, it's just that you are often the one to call people out for discussing something that you find uninteresting, so let us have our fun when you start a topic on a random lineman for the giants. I don’t like the draft coverage. In recent years I’ve barely watched and just waited to see the pick video online. I think it’s combination of the annoying spoiling, the ill-timed commercials, and the hype machine that just makes me want to look away. When they spread it to three days that sealed the deal for me. The draft was once a great event, but now it’s completely up its own ass.

It seems like I can't make it to the third post in any thread without reading someone complain about how it's already being discussed. It's a team-specific message football board... there's not exactly a million takes to be made. Everyone needs to relax.

Well it's pretty much a guarantee that he's going to have two monster games next year. Can you guess which ones?

I looked up his stats. It seems like he's been in the news a lot more than necessary for 8 home runs in A ball last year. I'll give him credit though, he's playing AA now. It would be pretty impressive if he stuck with it another year and made his way to AAA. It's a shame he's already 30 and can't carve out a nice baseball career, but I'm happy that the guy stuck with this. He seems like a dedicated guy.

I assume that even if we miraculously land a top QB by moving up in the draft that we will still be in our famous 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 mode for at least a couple more seasons. I'll still be very excited to watch the games with a new potential franchise QB, but my expectations wouldn't be playoffs.

I can't wait for the refs to call this pretty steady for the first 3 weeks, completely forget about it, then call it multiple times on us in a row late in the season forcing us to miss the playoffs.

I doubt that very much.
