This says it all...wide the hell open
fridge replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was expecting a video that was way more conclusive. Peterman’s first read wasn’t open, and the pocket fell apart immediately. He was literally running for his life. Peterman didn’t go above and beyond on Sunday, and in no way could anyone be impressed with his play, but man... our whole offense looked terrible. -
Not sure if you're new or not... but this is actually pretty similar to how TBD is after a 1 point loss as well.

Good thing he wrote a really nice post to support his thoughts. Not his fault you ignored it. -
Oh, so he's an athlete?

We were so bad that the annual “coordinator in the booth” thread is no longer funny to me. I usually get a laugh or two out of these.

What a depressing stat. The next closest appears to be Fitzpatrick in 2011 when we beat New England at home. He threw for 369 that game.

I can't believe we endured 57 games of Dick Jauron. It feels a lifetime ago, too. -

Ego or Redemption - The Peterman Story
fridge replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Peterman undeniably earned his start. He's the best QB on the Bills roster today. Will that be the case this time next year? Probably not -- but the dude put in the work, improved and gets the ball out quickly after the snap. I'm actually looking forward to this season. -
Remember when Mario Williams, the absolute bum who everyone thinks was terrible, recorded 13 sacks one season and followed it up with 14.5 sacks the next?

Good luck with your podcast.

Are you a Bills fan? This is a serious question, by the way. I’ve never seen a username highlight something so negative like yours.

I’m in shock that the “ . “ key on your keyboard still works. You mean this season, right? This is the Bills, I scratch my head ten times per game. Just last year we ran a designed screen pass to Tolbert on 2nd and 20.

I get it, fans criticizing the team for swapping punters seems laughable, but... 1. Schmidt was the holder of a FG unit that was insanely good last year. Why throw this into the mix and potentially create scenerios where we lose a game because there’s no kicker + holder relationship 2. Schmidt was average at best...but also average at worst. He was average. He shanked a few in the season but was relatively consistent. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. 3. This new guy has never played in the NFL and didn’t come from a big school. This is an enormous risk. We have no idea how he will handle the pressure of a road game. I’m not just talking about punts. With the game on the line and a must make field goal late in the fourth, the crowd will be insane. It’s a lot of pressure, and if he’s the holder how can we trust him. 4. Have we even brought him in? It’s my understanding this guy hasn’t even punted in a preseason game. What are we scouting him from? Other teams’ training camp? College? All in all, this seems like a completely unnecessary risky move that you all laugh about now but potentially come back and bite us in the ass.
