Am I the only one? I'll take any of the top 6 QBs
fridge replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am close to this, except the ones I'm the most afraid of are Darnold and Allen. I don't mind the others. -
ESPN and NFL Network will not "tip" picks in draft coverage.
fridge replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t like the draft coverage. In recent years I’ve barely watched and just waited to see the pick video online. I think it’s combination of the annoying spoiling, the ill-timed commercials, and the hype machine that just makes me want to look away. When they spread it to three days that sealed the deal for me. The draft was once a great event, but now it’s completely up its own ass. -
It seems like I can't make it to the third post in any thread without reading someone complain about how it's already being discussed. It's a team-specific message football board... there's not exactly a million takes to be made. Everyone needs to relax.

Had an argument with a friend about Thurman Thomas

Hard to argue this. -
Well it's pretty much a guarantee that he's going to have two monster games next year. Can you guess which ones?

I looked up his stats. It seems like he's been in the news a lot more than necessary for 8 home runs in A ball last year. I'll give him credit though, he's playing AA now. It would be pretty impressive if he stuck with it another year and made his way to AAA. It's a shame he's already 30 and can't carve out a nice baseball career, but I'm happy that the guy stuck with this. He seems like a dedicated guy.

ANY hit with crown of helmet - Automatic 15 yards
fridge replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't wait for the refs to call this pretty steady for the first 3 weeks, completely forget about it, then call it multiple times on us in a row late in the season forcing us to miss the playoffs. -
I doubt that very much.

Since you're the apparent resident spammer on PPP, has it ever occurred to you that almost all of the comics/articles you share are from biased sources? Apologies in advance if it offends you that I'm skeptical about the balanced nature of "LimitGov.org". Lastly, allow me to address the WashPo article you've re-posted 100 times without reading... I don't disagree with any of the facts presented in the article, but it's cherry picked. Of course if you look at the total population that has not died from a school shooting and compare it to the population that has it's an incredibly small number. If you use statistics correctly, and compare the gun violence in the US vs gun violence take place in the rest of the world, it's alarming and contradicts the polemic of that article. This Washington Post article presents the frequency with which mass shootings occur in this country, and uses pretty charts to help understand why and how some other first world countries have used reform to decrease gun violence. -

I must be faking it, right? There's no way I could actually feel intense rage that we still have to deal with school shootings in this country, right? I can tell that it really gets to you that other people have an ounce of compassion in them while you were born soulless and cruel. I want to stay on this, and not gloss over it. What action was way off target? A peaceful protest? That's as fundamental a right as the second amendment, is it not? As for prevention, man that's tough, and certainly not something I can try to chip away at in between work. I certainly don't think arming the teachers would do anything positive if that's where you're headed. Gun homicide rates are 25.3 times higher in the US than in other high-income countries. Our numbers are much closer to third world countries where we often mock their lack of safety. -

The part about the dead students who died in a school shooting that bothers you is that I called them "children". Okay. -

All I want is to prevent senseless deaths. Guess that makes me a piece of ****. -

Oh yeah, I've just totally misinterpreted him. He's a really swell guy that thinks dead children had supreme opinions on the second amendment and wouldn't want their classmates to stand up for them. -

Presuming their politics? They were children. Are you suggesting ANY OF THEM would prefer to be a martyr for you and your NRA donation? -

You have such vile hatred towards kids that survived a school shooting, I honestly don’t even know how to approach this... He’s a disgusting person? He’s a kid that survived a school shooting. Jesus Christ. He’s standing on his classmates’ corpses? Is he giving speeches about abortion? No he’s talking about gun reform. I’m pretty sure if given the chance to live the victims would gladly prefer a life with gun reform than die as a result of a school shooting. I doubt they would feel their friend is selfish as he pushes his “agenda”. Ok? What’s your point? He did survive a school shooting. That’s a fact. -

Not only is this untrue, but it’s disgusting. I’m honestly shocked at your responses. It’s not just a lack of sympathy that you’re displaying that makes me sick, but it’s the gross manner in which you attack the survivors. Step back. Remove the tinfoil hat. This is all this is about: Kids survive a school shooting, see their friends die, and now they want to do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening to anyone else. -
Per Beane, no discipline from team for Zay Jones

I, for one, am looking forward to this being Zay's watershed moment. Pre and post naked bloodbath. -
Mcdermott OT vs Indy in snow. Poll!
fridge replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s definitely his flaw. The Jacksonville game is an example of playing right into the opponents hand by being too conservative.
