What were they counter-protesting again? Did you say...Nazis and White Supremacists? Oh...that's right. Your post almost made me forget which side stood, quite literally, for hate. Also, I'm not your dude. You're unable to look at this situation without blatantly condemning hate groups. If you're all for peacefully assembling, then I'm curious your thoughts on the Neo-Nazis that committed murder at the protest. Find me a credible source. I saw you posted a screen cap of one and either deleted it or got it deleted. The flyer you posted was fake by the way. I also want to point out how disgusting it is the lengths you're going to in order to try and make those counter-protesters sound like evil scum...when they're up against Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists. Edit: Deleted part that was double posted.

Who's hatefulness? The people protesting the white nationalists (the ones that chanted hate speech the night before as they marched in support of a confederate statue)? Get real. Newsflash: Only one side is spewing hate. Trump is an idiot for confusing that fact. I'm sorry if you feel too scared to voice your concern about the "leftist anarchists" without sounding like a bigoted fool.

Mature. Earlier you were trying to play it off like Trump was just poorly conveying his opinion that violence is evil. As if that's really even a position to be had here. There's a lot of debate about to be had about the press conference, but it's wrong to tell me that he doesn't believe what he said. Trump equated those against white nationalists to white nationalists. That press conference made me sick.

100% agree.

Tasker is clinging onto that third wheel status.

Yeah, that's a lot of jpg. -
What if Bills and Jets are Tied Late in the 4th?

I'm not looking past the Jets Week 1 and if there's anything I can gleam about McDermott's style (as opposed to Rex's) the team won't either. -
Jordan Matthews chest injury (update: Sternum chip)
fridge replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've read that this takes 8-10 weeks to heal. Pain tolerance or not...why are they reporting week-to-week and playing it off like it's nothing? They're setting up for a big, drawn-out disaster here, and I can't help but feel like it's karma for such a terrible trade. -
Does anyone believe GM Beane about preseason game?
fridge replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amen to that. We got a shiny new toy and had absolutely no idea what to do with it. -

I definitely don't care if they showcased him. I'm not even that concerned with how they've explained it, even if untrue, but I just think it's possible that they wildly underrated Watkins. One thing that bothers me... if these guys can just showcase him at will like that, then how come we never really did that his whole career? -

I've thought about all of that, and I definitely think that McDermott may have completely underestimated Sammy Watkins' ability. I get it, he's been hurt, but it seems like McDermott made up his mind back in the offseason while Watkins was still recovering. -

Very possible that we needed to showcase Watkins to prove he's healthy and ready to go before LA would agree to any trade. Beane lied. You did a good job of describing why. There ain't no way in heck that he pulled the trigger on a trade like that without a lot of discussions with McDermott, and the timing just doesn't work out for any other explanation. The bigger issue... is this a problem? I'm inclined to say that it's not, but I am not giving these guys the benefit of the doubt at all. A lot of people are saying things like, "of course he lied," but I see no reason to do so. He could have just declined to comment on the timeline. One thing I do know... there's no way to spin this trade as helping out the team "now". -
Player reactions: common theme emerges
fridge replied to TallskiWallski83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aside from McCoy those all read as pretty standard sports answers. Don't let me stop you from digging further though. The truth is out there... -
I don't even remotely understand your point. If anything Tyrod criminally underused Watkins in their time together.

McD and Beane/ Do you trust them?

I'm pretty sure joesixpack has been running on nothing but pure emotion and lukewarm Genny Cream Ales for years. -
McD and Beane/ Do you trust them?
fridge replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty much this. The franchise still has a bit of dead weight. I said three or four coaches ago that I'm no longer giving the coach the benefit of the doubt. I'll start pulling for and trusting a coach when they lead us to the playoffs. -
I didn't hear Zay Jones named called once
fridge replied to Watkins90's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he's saying that we didn't hear Zay Jones' name because Tyrod was playing QB and not in the broadcast booth, specifically saying Zay Jones. -
We should have kept Jones and traded Yates
fridge replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What does that mean? Right now the options are this: 1. Yates sucks but Cardale also sucks. 2. Yates sucks but Cardale improved. Either way, Yates sucks, and we are stuck with him (for now). -
Are you ready for some Peterman????
fridge replied to CountryCletus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the NFL guys think there's a fine line between "we know X doesn't have it" and "let's wait and see". If a player doesn't fit into either category, then they're in the Yates category of, "at least he gives us a chance". I think this is wrong, mind you, but for some reason that seems to be how it goes. We probably both agree that the best method is to just bring in QBs constantly and not get swept away by the potential. At a certain point someone needs to get groomed, but do we settle for these mediocre QB's because we just want a chance to compete or because we think there's something they could develop into? With Fitzpatrick it seemed obvious, with Taylor it's confusing. To be clear, I would have moved on from Taylor this season, especially with a new offense, simply because we need to keep trying to strike gold. -
I liked them both.

Tannehill down non contact injury
fridge replied to CommonCents's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My favorite QB to beat in recent memory has been Tannehill. Really hope he pulls through. His deer-in-headlights looks as we sack him throughout the 4th quarter has been the lone bright spot of the last 5 years. -
Does anyone disagree that Matt Moore and Fitzpatrick are better than Yates? I agree with you 100% on Tyrod, but I'm having trouble caring as much about the backup situation. In a perfect world, I would have loved for Cardale to be the undisputed future of the franchise. In reality, we moved on and I'm fine with it. I understand that Yates is not the future and I hope we never need him to start games. I would have tried to convince Washington to tag and trade Cousins for Tyrod and work out a long term deal there. But what do I know? Even Cousins has his faults. It seems nearly impossible to snag a legitimate franchise QB and they are rarely traded for 7th round picks as camp begins.

I think a lot of teams value having guys with experience in depth positions, especially QB2. If we went with Peterman and Jones its not much different than the year we had Tuel and Lewis as our reserves. Of the guess you listed (Kaep, RG, Shaun Hill, Whitehurst, Or Ponder), Yates is by no means the best, but if he knows the playbook I'd rather have him in if the coaches feel comfortable. I should clarify that I'm not excited by Yates either, but I agree with you that if we need to see him in extended action we're in trouble. If Tyrod is out for multiple games and we're not in a playoff race, I'd expect Peterman to get some playing time.

Anquan Boldin Signs 1 Year Deal with the Bills Pg45
fridge replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is unanimously a good decision, right? I can't think of a reason not to sign him.
