  1. I don't even remotely understand your point. If anything Tyrod criminally underused Watkins in their time together.
  2. I'm pretty sure joesixpack has been running on nothing but pure emotion and lukewarm Genny Cream Ales for years.
  3. Pretty much this. The franchise still has a bit of dead weight. I said three or four coaches ago that I'm no longer giving the coach the benefit of the doubt. I'll start pulling for and trusting a coach when they lead us to the playoffs.
  4. Maybe he's saying that we didn't hear Zay Jones' name because Tyrod was playing QB and not in the broadcast booth, specifically saying Zay Jones.
  5. What does that mean? Right now the options are this: 1. Yates sucks but Cardale also sucks. 2. Yates sucks but Cardale improved. Either way, Yates sucks, and we are stuck with him (for now).
  6. I think the NFL guys think there's a fine line between "we know X doesn't have it" and "let's wait and see". If a player doesn't fit into either category, then they're in the Yates category of, "at least he gives us a chance". I think this is wrong, mind you, but for some reason that seems to be how it goes. We probably both agree that the best method is to just bring in QBs constantly and not get swept away by the potential. At a certain point someone needs to get groomed, but do we settle for these mediocre QB's because we just want a chance to compete or because we think there's something they could develop into? With Fitzpatrick it seemed obvious, with Taylor it's confusing. To be clear, I would have moved on from Taylor this season, especially with a new offense, simply because we need to keep trying to strike gold.
  7. I liked them both.
  8. My favorite QB to beat in recent memory has been Tannehill. Really hope he pulls through. His deer-in-headlights looks as we sack him throughout the 4th quarter has been the lone bright spot of the last 5 years.
  9. Does anyone disagree that Matt Moore and Fitzpatrick are better than Yates? I agree with you 100% on Tyrod, but I'm having trouble caring as much about the backup situation. In a perfect world, I would have loved for Cardale to be the undisputed future of the franchise. In reality, we moved on and I'm fine with it. I understand that Yates is not the future and I hope we never need him to start games. I would have tried to convince Washington to tag and trade Cousins for Tyrod and work out a long term deal there. But what do I know? Even Cousins has his faults. It seems nearly impossible to snag a legitimate franchise QB and they are rarely traded for 7th round picks as camp begins.
  10. I think a lot of teams value having guys with experience in depth positions, especially QB2. If we went with Peterman and Jones its not much different than the year we had Tuel and Lewis as our reserves. Of the guess you listed (Kaep, RG, Shaun Hill, Whitehurst, Or Ponder), Yates is by no means the best, but if he knows the playbook I'd rather have him in if the coaches feel comfortable. I should clarify that I'm not excited by Yates either, but I agree with you that if we need to see him in extended action we're in trouble. If Tyrod is out for multiple games and we're not in a playoff race, I'd expect Peterman to get some playing time.
  11. This is unanimously a good decision, right? I can't think of a reason not to sign him.
  12. When we bring OJ back to "lead the charge" will that violate his parole?
  13. The President himself is spoiled and entitled to the detriment of the office of the President.
  14. I don't even know where to begin. You want me to defend my assertion that the Trump family is spoiled? And when did I say anything about Chelsea Clinton? She's spoiled too, what's your point?
  15. That's where you want to hang your hat on? Trump's children not being spoiled brats? Really?
  16. First of all, I'm no expert, so nothing I say should be taken that seriously. I also don't have a single partisan bone in my body so the left-leaning principles mean nothing to me. I think this campaign will go down as one of the great blemishes in our nation's history. The DNC rigged their nomination, the GOP went with an aging failed business man/realty TV star/internet troll, a man that has truly defied the term "presidential" to it's very core since his inauguration. For people that don't typically watch the MSM, this election was gross. All talking points were boiled down to he-said-she-said and there was even less political debate than normal. All of this has triggered a new wave of "not my president" nonsense and there are millions of people on the internet that are praying daily that there's some magic button that removes Trump from office. It's comparable to the birther movement. One party simply not coming to grips with or welcoming their new President. BUT... the Comey stuff perked my ears up. I know the Republicans were riding the Comey train during the Clinton email scandal, so it seemed like it was not a partisan issue. Trump firing him is way more interesting than of the previous "not my president" nonsense. Donald Trump Jr.'s emails, which he himself released absolutely is evidence. When the NYT was teasing that sort of information, people like you were jumping on them saying there's no actual 'unnamed sources", but this definitely relieves that concern to me. I mean, the primary source publicly released the information, so... that's as clear cut as it gets. At this point, we should wait for the investigation to conclude. It's been months and should be comprehensive enough that if they determined no collusion occurred, I would accept it.
  17. Yeah, so I imagine there's more to this, as Jr.'s first instinct wasn't to just report this thing. For some reason he wasn't alarmed at all that a Russian would be attempting to help him, and instead welcomed that chance (which is where the conspiracy to commit treason comes in).
  18. I love that you're still using narrative to somehow dismiss this, despite actual evidence and the DOJ telling you there's something there. The DNC is a joke, not necessarily for the reasons you listed, but certainly the two party system has created a monster... that being said, I'm still going to go with foreign influence over national elections as a much higher threat to our country. I mean, isn't that the very first conservative value? Protect our nation, etc!
  19. If he just reported it and went on his way, that would be a valid argument. Conspiracy to commit election fraud by working with a foreign entity is a crime. It's actually pretty interesting to see all of the backtracking here as if it's still a non-story.
  20. I think this is enough PPP for me. I was interested to see people's take on the collusion story, and I don't exactly know what I was expecting. Haven't visited in years, and now I know why. Stay classy guys!
  21. Complete hypocrisy in politics? You don't say.
  22. This is not meant to be sarcastic... how you did arrive at this opinion? I'm genuinely curious how amidst all of the allegations, your interpretation is simply...they were getting to work early.
  23. Man, some people just love to complain.
