How many coaches did they have on ST's the previous year when St. Doug was here ? Could it be that Rex scheme not only on defense but on ST's didn't fit ? Did he have his guy on ST's like he was going to try by offering Schwartz a job to stay in B/Lo as long as he did things Rex way ? Which led to Scwartz seeing the forest for the tree's & leaving . Now D. Henderson is checking out other teams could that also be that he was made to do some things Rex way & not given the freedom he thought he had prior to Rex coming here ? So many questions that we won't know the answers to until next season .

Well at least we know which part of the D that will suck next year ! If he works the same kind of magic that he did as D coordinator then we know the Bills secondary will be getting beat on the long ball in every game & became a weak ness instead of a strength ! What does Rex see in this guy ??

Pacman Jones should be fired for being that stupid he should have held his tongue but you have to consider the source . Burfict will be fined i'm sure but how hard is it to stop your self running full bore at some one . I don't think it was intentional helmet to helmet i think he hit him with his shoulder & from the collision their heads hit . Plus with the play calling in the last 1:36 does Jackson get looked at as a HC ? He should have had a lot better plan in that instance. Lewis could have & probably did have a talk with the guys in the locker room about doing stupid things on the field but packman has a history of stupid !! The reason why Burfict went so low in the draft was because of his history of violence on the file d mixed with a bit of stupid while in college so it was only a matter of time for something like this to happen & cause them the game .

There are a lot of the NFL rules that make no sense or are not common sense oriented at all ! The rule you talk about is one because it's different for a runner than it is a WR & the catch rule is so stupid it's not even funny . A RB can cross the goal line & fumble the ball going to the ground but if a WR catches the ball & goes to the ground after crossing the goal line & fumbles it's not a catch ??? Plus i thought that the ground can't cause a fumble & if your knee or your elbow & another part of your body touches the ground you are down ? But not if you are in the process of catching a ball ? Makes no sense ! Sounds like they hired politicians to make up those rules ...

Well we end the season on a high note & go out with a win & knock the Jets out so that mean a lot of positives for the team right ? WRONG ! THey are showing the D*** A** Bills fan that prior to the game jumps into a fire with a burning plastic table & gets up with a piece of the plastic from the table attached to his A** & the other fans around him pouring beer on it to put it out Talk about taking 1 step forward & 3 steps back in the arena of public opinion It was bad enough that the helmet incident with Carpenter was the lead on the story but he was just pissed & his helmet like his kick took a bad bounce, but this fan just completely put all of the positive news of our Bills winning into the trash . If you see him tell him thanks for his less than stellar choice to jump into a burning fire & how he threw the national opinion of the Bills in a dumpster ! But i bet he's thinking , WOW THAT'S GREAT I WAS ON TV HA HA HA !!

Rex first season is every bit as good as Marrones last season . Marrone finished 9 & 7 but the Pats game last year was won with out Tommy at the helm, if he would have played Marrone would have wound up 8 & 8 instead . The same as Rex in his first year with a totally different O & D scheme pretty good i guess … I know the Steelers are Bills fans today !! I'll bet in the Steelers post game talk he said HOW BOUT THEM BILLS !!

I believe with Whaley running the show now the Bills will have more of a common sense look at drafting a QB & like you talk about getting a good prospect in the later rounds . Instead of passing on all of the ones that are now either taking their teams to SB's or in the play offs consecutive years !!

One game to go & the Bills season will be done . Although it kills me to say it even as i will be routing for our Bills i don't see them winning . Short of divine intervention . We barely won the first game when the Jets weren't firing on all cylinders with a all but full roster of starters, so how can our Bills win this time with so many injuries & most or a lot of the starters sitting or on IR due to injuries ? I will be praying for some divine intervention but i just don't see it happening even with the home crowd advantage ! Party on Bills fans because that will be the only high at the Ralph this week !! Go Bills !!!

There are very few HC's that can be a HC & a coordinator or play caller, the only one that i can think of off the top of my head is Mike McCarthy in GB when he wasn't calling plays they were losing when he does they win . Some HC's are just better at multitasking & I'm not sure if Rex is ? Pettine on the other hand was good as a DC both in NY & in B/Lo but let his crony do the play calling for the Browns so maybe him being more involved with the play calling would be a good thing ! Thurman on the other hand I THINK sucks ! I just never liked the guy from the get go when they said they were bringing him with Rex . I don't think he knows how to scheme to the players strength . I think if Rex has called the plays this year on the D he needs to do something different or if Thurman has then there definitely needs to be a change I just can't make myself like the guy …

I'd say Dallas could be a big possibility because Jerry likes making big splashes & if they let the thug go (Hardy) then there will be a opening at the position of a pass rushing DE & with Jerry's ego & check book it's a match made in Dallas !!

Just about anything would be a upgrade from Thurmon ! I also think Pettine will be looking for a job at the end of the season that would be a huge plus if they brought him back & Rex just let him run the D . Heck Mario might even want to stay if Pettine comes back !

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !! And you probably were one that was complaining as much as every one else before he left . Too if the Pats wouldn't have sat their starters that would have been another lose on his plate so he wasn't all that & a bag of chips also the D won him a lot of those games not his O !!!

His name escapes me but if the tall kid drafted this year that was just brought up from the practice squad has learned anything this year & can make a jump he could be the legit #2 TALL WR ! The Bills have been looking for that guy ever since they drafted the tall guy out of Indiana (was it James Harding ?) a few years ago . Well quite a few years ago now ... And Woods isn't as bad as some fans think they just need to include him more n the plan .

As it should ! The Bills roster needs a bunch of tweaking & contracts of McKelvin, K. Williams, Mario, & others will all need to be looked at in order to keep other cornerstone players of the future I also believe a lot of players will be gone next year due to injury history or bad play . E.J. , Goodwin, Leodis, Duke, & more could be on the chopping block stay tuned ...

Great article thanks for the heads up ! But this article points out one thing that is very apparent in the realm of the Bills fan base, we want instant gratification ! And i am guilty as charged ... After 16 years of not being in or even truly sniffing the play offs we as Bills fans are starved for that, but even if we do have some good come we as Bills fans always seem to find the bad in who ever is the coach or player in question . Chan which is having a great season with Rex old team & our old QB had some good things happen while here as our HC & because he didn't immediately change the Bills from non contenders he was raked across the coals every chance we got . But now how many are saying man he really does know offense ! I always liked him & m glad to see him do well & the tears he shed when leaving the Bills told me a lot about the man. I think reading the article shed more light on the Bills fans than it did on Rex being a bad coach, but gave anthers perspective on his coaching ability & that the Bills fan base although hard at times given the past need a bit more patience when there is such a extreme change in staff. We have a real good but young GM which i think will right the ship but Rome (ans) empire wasn't built in a season !

I think it would be a good get with what he has done so far in college but i hope he stays so he can get more experience & comes out the following year then we should grab him !! Of course every one here would think it was the second coming & the kid would be so scrutinized at every turn the pressure would be unreal because Bills fans are on again off again as far as liking a player more than most any team in the league. If you want proof just write a post about Flutie one of the best QB's in a Bills uni that we have ever had & the last QB to take us to the play offs & there are more Bills fans that though he sucked & that says a lot about Bills fans in general !!

Bucky is as good of a talent evaluator & a NFL expert as he was a WR thats why I and a lot of others didn't even know he played for the Bills because he sucked then & he still sucks !!
