Well if he would have stayed in B/Lo they would have said the same thing ! He did so well in the other scheme when Pettine was here which is suppose to mirror Rex scheme but if it in fact does why has this year been such a stinker on the defensive side pf the ball ? I think Petting may have dumbed down the D that Rex taught him enough for it to be easier for the players to understand which made it easier to implement . As a one time musician we use to have a phrase that was used when referring to the rhythm section and that was K.I.S.S. it which stood for Keep It Simple Stupid ! I think that might benefit Rex to do the same ...

So if you get those 2 who do you let go on the squad now ! Hughes, & Dareus they just signed to multi year huge contracts for a lot of money so you sign Ngata & sit Dareus & have him only be a depth player ? If Mario isn't happy which he doesn't seem to be then they may bring Wilkerson in but they have others already on the team they need to keep. Gilmore, Glenn & others are priority .

Well here it is another end of a season coming & we can all look back on some of the events & as we always do try to look at the positives that will carry us into next season. One of the big stories this season was when the Bills brought Cassel in & we all thought at the time this could very easily be our guy for this year & maybe more but Whaley & company has seen something different &the trade with Dallas came up & he pulled the trigger . All the talk at the time was what a goof ball Whaley was & if Tyrod went down in typical Bills fans the sky is falling fashion there was a uproar about the move. But the way it worked out it could have been one of the moves that Whaley should be thanked for. I haven't really paid attention to anything about Dallas because i can't stand their owner & his ego, although i do like Romo . But i believe that every game Cassel has played he has lost & looked on the verge of terrible, so much so they pulled him last week . I was wondering of all those that though getting rid of him was a really bad thing what you all think about the move now ? Whaley got another draft pick for the trade (a good thing) & gave EJ more playing time that we wouldn't have seen what jumps he made given his time to learn while being a back up . Which some thinks he still needs more time on the field so we can suffer through some more of his growing pains but i say it's time for that ship to leave port ! So given all that has happened with the Cassel thing what do you all think about it now ? Sorry if there has been something written about this recently but i didn't look to see before i went on this rant

EJ got his chance to step up & show what he learned while being a back up both behind Orton & now Tyrod , IMHO EJ has run his coarse in B/Lo it's time to man up & realize that what was said about him coming out of college was all true & let him go !! Which i think could be the reason why they brought in Dysert to the practice squad ! I saw EJ last year at SJF & he has little or no consistency throwing the ball he will never be any thing but a very shaky back up in the NFL ! Great guy but thats about where it ends !!

And Lord knows with whats been said in a couple of statements coming out of one Bills drive the team needs leaders !! Last year Kyle, Fred, Wood, & A. Williams were the leaders of the team & this season all but Wood is gone so that may explain why those statements are true ... I thought Shady might be a leader on the team but every time he opens his mouth its to bash some one rather than build them up . Good player - bad leader !!

Isn't that the truth !! Thurman hasn't a clue of how to apply a defense to it's players strengths ! Rex ego is the first that needs to go as far as the D is concerned & Thurman needs to be the one carrying it out the door with his A** !! Then if Pettine is let go in Cleveland which is very possible they need to bring him back !! Mario's latest interview is very telling !!

Hopefully he will take the same lead as this years other 2 FSU draft picks & not the previous FSU draft pick by the Bills !!

If any one should be pissed it should be Whaley ! He had a view of where the team was going & last year despite the offensive coaching staff they had a winning season & a very productive & if i might say ass kicking D ! The only thing they needed was a good OC . Marrone screws the pooch for the tune of $4 mill & rather than going with some semblance of stability it's let's blow up the entire thing and start over ! I was all about Schwartz being the next HC it's called STABILITY , he was the perfect candidate ! The D was lights out , the players liked him, he had all the fire you could ever want, & had a previous HCing experience to learn from . Schwartz more than likely would have kept the ST coach (more stability) & either added a new OC or saw what was rumored that Marrone wouldn't let the young OC do what he wanted & kept him, once again more stability !! I think all of this is at the front door of the Pegula's being new to the NFL & looking to make a big splash of which they did by hiring Rex . Which we are now as always seeing what change can do ! I as a fan have absolutely no idea what is going to happen or what should happen but what ever will happen will happen & alls we can do as fans is sit back & watch or stop watching & find another hobby . Hey maybe wee should do what the Broncos did & put Jimbo in as the GM

D. Thurmon should lead this bunch as the first out the door, then Boobie, Mario should stay because of what he can do if the coaches would let him ! No coach has used R. Woods correctly since he's been here & Carpenter is good just having a bad year kind of like the Bills ... The O line is better than it's been in a while they just need to be more disciplined & i think some of it might be G/Ro's scheme with all the pulling & trapping & such just let the guys play with out all the extra junk !!

Both Whaley, & The Pegula's were in with Rex thats why they wanted a second interview. Even Brandon was in on it which may have been his last official football act ! I think Rex brings great enthusiasm to the team i just wish he would play to the strengths of his players ! He has got the D down when it comes to the running game but he needs to let the guys go for it more ! To have Mario dropping into coverage is utterly ridiculous !! He is one of the best at his job & has proved it the last 3 years well at least 2 yrs ! Just all this disguising & moving & crap he needs to go just let the guys play the way they know they can ! Schwartz let them go & they were the tops in the defense. I think the Bills can be really good but our coach first has to put his ego aside about "his scheme" & fire Thurmon the guy is a jerk !

And you can tell by the way he acts sometimes , he for sure is a great RB but he isn't a Bills type player like a FJ or KW !!

Boy that honeymoon didn't last long ! The GM was the one that assembled this team that you call so talented . If the coaches can't get the talent to play well because of the scheme they are employing how can it be the GM's fault ? Yes i am a bit pissed at Rex because of his ego thinking that he can take a top 4 defense & make it better by changing everything there is to change about it . On the other hand this is TT's first season behind the wheel of a new O & with all the motions & things that G/Ro does not to mention the timing of a new QB with his receivers , it doesn't just magically fall together ! The Bengals have been decent since Dalton got there but it finally looks like he has got it coming together & that only took what 4 years ? I hate it that the Bills aren't as good as we thought but give it more than 13 games , heck they at least gave EJ 16 games to decide he stinks !!

Ground & pound It's more like shake & bake with Shady in there & i can't for the life of me figure out why they brought Felton in & paid him what they did because they sure aren't getting much if any return on the money they spent ! Especially in a "Ground & Pound" type scheme i don't know that the guy has been on the field for 30 plays this year has ha ??

What is there to talk about ? The guy has put together the most talented roster the Bills have seen in years & him & the HC have the exact same thoughts when it comes to how to build a team so what then ? If the Pegula's were foolish enough to get rid of Whaley after seeing the potential of what this team can do in only the first year of a 2 scheme change would be crazy ! I'm not all about Rex scheme i liked Schwartz scheme a lot better i think it fit the players better but even the D is doing some good things but could be better & may be with more familiarity in this scheme . So to clear out the guy that put it all together in such a short time period would be totally a old Bills move, more like something that Ralph would do !!!

I seem to remember something about Mario's early career in Houston . Didn't he have a beef about the way the D coach was using him with in the scheme ? He was being used as more as a LB dropping into coverage & couldn't do as much rushing as he had done at NC state during his college career ? And wasn't there a D coach of the Bills when Mario first got here Edwards or Wanny maybe (i don't know) that tried using Mario in a LB type position too but didn't work out as well either ? Well could history be repeating it self ? Sounds like he could be on to something . The good & great teams always have their foot to the floor & score as much & as often as you can , go for it , go for broke !! With all the talent this offense has on it we should be doing a lot better, especially since Shady & Sammy are now healthy They should have won the New England game with ease , but it's almost like they match the intensity of the opponent . If their not doing really good then the Bills seem to lay back or like Sammy said lose that sense of urgency !! Good call Sammy !! Go Bills !!

Although there eis a lot of huge ego's in the NFL there is one player that stands out to me & although i agree he is very talented i could never stand him from the first time i saw his signature move that he planned in college for when he made it to the NFL . His move is his Superman ripping open his shirt & he is CAM I can't stand the guy ! And now that they are winning it's even worse with his big production end zone dances & such ... What ever happened to being humble when you score ? Andre never use to dance, Thurmon never danced, Emmit never danced, Rice never danced ! It's all about being a show boat now, the NFL has changes so much . I wish some of todays players would take a lesson from the greats that came before them . Favre's enthusiasm was totally different than what they do today, today it is a staged well thought out plan of their celebration but when Brett scored he was just happy like a kid would be these guys today are ridiculous !! And Cam IMHO leads the way with a ridiculous celebration & other antics !!

It's about time they did something !! They also need to look at changing or clarifying the catch rule because it blows !!

This is the same staff that the Bills took to the wood shed twice last year & when Rex started out i thought it was a good hire but when he brought all of the same staff that he had in N.Y. with him i started to get a bit skeptical to say the least . Well he's here now & it isn't as bad as it was for him last year but the team he left is doing better than he did with the talent he had & the team he inherited went from what they were last year to what they are this year go figure !! He should be made to make some changes this off season & Thurmon should be the first to go & if Pettine gets released they should get him back !! At least Rex D ranked & played better when Pettine was calling the games & the Bills D played better for him than they are with Thurmon calling the scheme . I think Pet is better at seeing the game & what needs to be called than Thurmon !! And Rex needs to be the HC not both HC/DC !! Like Chan he has to much on his plate to do both !!

That SUCKS !! With all the history that the Bolts have it just won't be right !! If they do move L.A. shouldn't be able to use the chargers name or uni's they should come up with their own crap so when the team leaves L.A. again the city of San Diego can get another expansion team like cleveland did & they can have their history along with the name & uni's back . I wish L.A. would go piss up a rope ! Even though the Bills are no longer in this conversation i can't stand L.A. , it's almost as bad as Dallas !!

Because Taylor is Rex guy i don't think you will see another legit QB walk through the doors of one bills drive could be wrong but Rex hung with what he had in N.Y. so i don't see him changing because he was the one that wanted Tyrod . Maybe with a year of this scheme under his belt he will be better but if things go the way they do in B/lo this off season G/Ro will be gone & they will be putting in a new offense & Taylor will have to learn a new offense . I always want ed the kid from Ala. that is now sitting behind Dalton in Cinci & i still think he would come here if he had a chance to compete for the number 1 spot but i don't sees it . Which Taylor has a lot more to work with than EJ !! I hope they get rid of EJ this off season so we can close that chapter of the book !! Because he has shown exactly what they all said he would coming out of college which ain't much !!

I would say Thurmon, the D seems to be picking up the scheme a bit more but Ryan hasn't had a D that rated real well since Pettine left . Thurmon was a Defensive backs coach right ? While Pettine was there ?

I disagree . I think Marrone was a very average coach surrounded by some pretty awesome assistant coaches that made him look better than he truly was ! My thing is that they say stability in coaching is huge . Teams like the Pats, Bengals, Panthers, Broncos (up till this year) have had the same staff for a while at least 3 + years & when Marrone walked out i was hoping for a inside hire !! They had a HC on the staff that had our defense playing balls out, we had a ST's unit that was tops & a young OC that i think had the clamps put on him by Marrone !! I was hoping that our next HC would have been Schwartz !! The dude has HC experience, coached for a winning team in the Titans, he had fire, & had everything that Rex had meaning learning from his mistakes . Plus if the D this year would have been as good as last years we would have won last week , & the 2 weeks before & been sitting at 8 & 3 . O well so much for crying over spilled milk I'm a Bills fan i better get use to it !!
