I believe he has learned from his mistakes which is a good thing & will be something he keeps & it will stay with him ! I have always told my kids your going to make mistakes but the difference is if you realize those mistakes, learn from them & don't continue to do them then they weren't a waste of your time !! This guy reminds me of a Anquan Boldin type of receiver !! Anything you throw the guys way he will catch & when your in crunch time & your down by a score he is the guy you can put full trust in that he will come down with the ball in any situation !! I was stoked when he Bills picked up Anquan & it sucked when he quit but i think Duke will be the Bills Bolden & i hope he sticks around for a long time !! DUUUUUUKE !!

We have all seen how the NFL can take a young prospect at the QB position that show's really well in college & then sometimes for reasons that are out of their control they show very poorly when they hit the NFL . We have had quite a few over the years in Buffalo, a certain few immediately come to mind that IMHO could have done better if circumstances were a bit different ! Losman was one that i thought with some better coaching decisions & a possible attitude adjustment could have been a better QB because as the one good year he had it showed that he could do some good things in certain circumstances . Another that i think could have been better if given a different coach was Manuel, Marrone being the moron that he was didn't have a clue of how to bring along a young player let alone a QB which just added to his short comings in his development & to his eventual demise when it came to his NFL career ! Josh has shown that with a good QB coach Dorsey & a good support system D.A. & Barkley that you can develop & make baby steps into becoming a better QB yr to yr & eventually/hopefully becoming the franchise guy we thought he would be when drafted ! Then there are the young guys that just get a raw freakin deal & the one i am talking about is Rosen, this kid can't buy a break ! He shows good at times in absolutely terrible situations but given the circumstance the kid doesn't have a snow balls chance in hell of coming out on top !! Last year before the Bills draft he was one i wanted the Bills to draft given his college play, accuracy, & what seemed to be having that drive in most any position in a game to come back & win but as it stands & looks as of now i am glad Beane is the GM & not me !! That said I hope this guy can keep his head together long enough to get that coach & support staff not to mention a O line that can give the guy a fair shake to show what he might be able to do if he is in a decent situation because up to now on both teams this kid has been thrown to the wolves with a pork chop necklace & a T bone vest & his confidence has got to be taking a beating !! Maybe given the one person that can help him in Fitz, because let's face it he is a very resilient NFL QB for sure, maybe he can keep Rosen's head in it to become better when given the legit chance . But for now if this young QB can out last the storm he's in he might be able to become a better NFL QB ...

I couldn't understand why they let all of their stud defensive guys go last off season & now it's coming back to haunt them literally ! Justin Houston in the Colts game gave them fits & he was one of the afore mentioned studs released ! Tamba Ali was another i couldn't understand why they let walk I know age had something to do with it but the dude was still producing & their D is less for letting him go too !! The Chiefs are the Bills alter ego they have a offense that can score with the best of them but their D is like non existent & their opponents can score at will to where our Bills D is awesome & the offense has a hard time scoring points . I hope after the bye the Bills come back & Josh gets into a groove with the addition of Duke & they run the table so this post will be just me blow smoke !!

I think we got it last week when they brought Duke up & got rid of Zay ... Duke will make the catches that Zay missed especially in the red zone !! I believe moving forward Duke will become a favorite of Josh .

I'm calling BS !! Bills are set at that position & thats not the way Beane works !!

Man i hope not given the fact that Josh has a good relationship with Dabol & that having the same scheme is paramount to a young QB's development ! If there is a change it could hold Josh back in some instances which could put him in a long line of Bills QB's that have taken a very different & winding road to the trash heap & i hope that's not what happens because it looks like the Bills may have a good chance of him developing into the guy they have been in search of since Kelly's retirement . Not to mention Josh seems to fit the exact type to be a Bills player on & off the field !!

If Jordon Philips continues to play the way he did last week he's got my vote !!

We should be back to full strength after the bye & the rest of the yr if the guys can stay healthy & given the depth & the way the back ups have played one would hope that the play offs could be a definite this year !! GO BILLS !!!

I thought because of the previous misses that this kick was going to be a gadget play of some sort but i'm glad it wasn't !! Those misses helped in the Bills win & McD needs to pull back his ego on the 4th down go for it plays that missed 4th down play where they could have had 3 points instead could have been the difference if their guy would have made a couple of those kicks !! I get having confidence in your offense but don't get to cocky put the points on the board when given the chance !!

I believe this could happen ! I think the Bills learned from the Pats game & will play them even tougher next time & believe they will be in the hunt this year but Josh is still making some rookie decisions & next year he could be even better given the experiences ! I believe with bringing Duke up the WR room just got a lot better & they could package some other players in a trade to up grade even more in that room but i wouldn't want the Bills to alienate any of the guys that are here by doing so & they definitely don't need a diva at any position on the team. Is Diggs a diva ? Don't know enough about him to say but is this action due to the AB syndrome ? If they would trade for him & he doesn't get the ball as much as he would like would he pulls the same stuff here after getting a bigger contract & do the same thing AB did ? Those are all things that need to be looked at before getting this guy in here because i don't care how great of a player AB is he ain't worth the BS you have to go through to keep him happy to much ***** for a nickel !! Just saying . That being said i would rather gain picks by some trades & build through the draft & get some young players on decent contracts that can do as well or better & i'm sure Beane & company have got their eyes on some more up & coming players that will be there in next years draft that will help ...

I think bringing Murphy back to the RB's room could help Yeldon is a okay player but i think Murphy had more of a impact with big plays & was as good of a receiver out of the back field as Yeldon !! I totally agree on bringing Duke up & think it was over due but i sure am glad they did & hope they see he is a gamer & keep him on the 53 for the rest of the year !!

There have been a lot of questions at the WR position this season some that were answered by signing Brown, Beasley but one that has come up lately about the subject has been "why all the Zay Hate" ? Well yesterdays game with the insertion of DUKE being brought up from the PS shows why, the guy is a gamer which was stated in the preseason the guy is hungry & in his mind after what he has been through being let go & going to the CFL he feels he has something to prove to all the NFL that he is worthy of being in the league . The games in todays NFL are won & lost by a couple of key plays & in the previous games some of those plays weren't made by certain players that could have been enough to put a W in that column but weren't, yesterday those couple of plays were made IMHO by having Duke on the field & i hope the coaching staff noticed that he is worthy of a roster spot every week !! The Bills WR group just got a little better not because of the speed he brings but his being hungry so let him eat & be another guy that Josh can depend on down in the red zone or anytime a play needs to be made . I think this was a awesome move on McD's part & will pay off big time going forward . If this is being talked about in another similar post my bad !!

I'm in this guy was a great pick up & he was a high draft pick i think he could be the difference maker that he was yesterday on a consistent basis get ur done Beane !

Since McD & Beane took over there have been a lot of players that they either got rid of due to attitude or lack of fitting their idea of being a process player, also there were some that left because they didn't like being here & after their rookie contracts were up they bolted for greener pastures such as Stephon Gilmore . Some of those players being Sammy Watkins, Marcel Dareus, Goodwin, Robert Woods , Wyatt Teller, i would imagine that there are quite a few more that i am forgetting but if you could bring back 1 player to help the Bills out right now who would be your pick ? Darby, Bradham... Even if you could bring a player back that was injured like Eric Wood of coarse he wouldn't be injured in this fantasy seeing as this is all just for a hope & a prayer type thing . Try to keep it to the McD/Beane era or shortly before that cause we don't need to be saying players like OJ or something goofy like that but i was just thinking who that has been recently (within the last 4 yrs) let go, traded, or cut that if you could bring back to help the team now in a position that is lacking in depth or talent . I will start with my pick & this was a guy i couldn't understand why they let him go Robert Woods the dude does nothing but ball when he's out there & he is some one i think Josh could have used in his development & a true Bills type player !! I'm glad Woods is where he seems to be happy (and didn't go to the Pats) & getting paid but boy i wish he still wore a Bills uni !! So who's your 1 player that you would bring back ??

There was times in the game he had all day long to throw, i agree we can use some more upgrades in certain spots but it's no where near as bad as it was last year i don't know that they had a 100 yd rushing game at all last year did they ? I think the trying to get Ford in a rotation with TY is kind of foolish they should go with the best one & leave it alone or try him at LT if that's where he played in college if Dawkins isn't holding his own but they need to get set & let them develop some chemistry . Morse is still in kind of behind he was out for so long which could be the reason why he isn't hitting it but hopefully he will come around & the O line will get it figured out before the half way point of the season & in time to make a run at the end !!

Beane is great at structuring these new contracts in favor of the Bills ! I don't know though that the question is if Kroft can play the elephant in the room is can he stay healthy ? If Knox & Sweeney continue the way they have he could be kept as a back up option but i see those 2 as the leaders in that room for the future .

When either of those QB's were coming out of college i was a fan of both & still am I think both were better than any one the Bills have had prior to getting Josh .

Watch the tape of the last couple of games the dude blows catches at times when the team needs him he's not a clutch player ! When it's crunch time he just doesn't produce . And the INT near the goal line he should have if nothing else fowled the dude so he didn't get the INT but didn't . IIMHO if Duke would have been in there on that play near the end zone that almost hit him in the hands Duke would have positioned himself better & boxed out the defender to make the catch or would have fought off the INT . Sure the guy puts in the work, he's a great team guy but he's like the Tyrod Taylor of WR's he's a decent #3 WR but when you need him to step up when the game is on the line the dude just never seems to deliver . Look att he Dawson Knox over the defender catch, the John Brown 1 hander, you just don't see that from him & i don't think given the fact that he is in his 3rd yr we ever will !! Turn him into a ST player with a #4 WR status & bring Duke up he's a lot more hungry & has shown more & if given the chance to play & develop in the scheme i think can easily out play Zay !! Just saying ... Yah but those ones that hit him in the hands & he don't get are the ball breakers !!

Hopefully he's more like Jim Kelly than Trent & this will motivate him to be even better in the future ... ?

I agree i think this will be a great lesson for Josh in particular going forward ! He came out way to hyped wanting to whoop up on them & it hurt him if he would have just took what they gave him instead of trying to go big it could have made a difference . Even given all that played out they were still right there at the end & football being a game of just a couple of plays that change the out come that's all it took in this one & that's was the difference . I think it will be different next go round !! GO BILLS !!

Why should he show any respect for the Bills that would mean that he would give them props & admit they shut him down & he won't do that ! They just need to kick their ass next time in their house & that will prove where the Bills are at until they do that there will be little to know respect from them. Bellichek will give some but that's where it ends !! I just wan the Bills to beat them while Brady is still there because if they don't the excuse will be that we couldn't do it while he was there & even if we do now the excuse will be that he is 42 years old so you should be able to !!

I think the big difference in the game was that Josh came out way to hyped & wanted the win so bad for the fans & because of the history between the 2 teams that he lost focus on (like McD said) what their D was giving him & tried to go to big & they made him pay ! You take away his first INT add the Houshka miss & the Bills win this game ! The punt looked as if the snap was low which caused the punter to have to take more time too but even given that mistake the Bills were in it to the end & if Josh would have been in we may have had a better chance ! Not that Barkley was terrible it's just that Josh is "The Guy" so he needs to be on the field but to only be down by 6 against the Pats after how it starts out this team showed a lot more than any team from the recent past, i have been to Bills/Pats games where we were up at half & the Pats came out & took over & the Bills looked to just fold up & quit but thats not what i saw in this game !!
