  1. IMO, I think his, and his brother's laziness is what got him fired. The news filtering out after he got fired painted a portrait of two men who were for all intents and purposes, just mailing it in. You can be a hard worker and lose. You can't be lazy and lose. Nobody writing the checks is going to stand for that.
  2. With the caveat that nobody gets fired at this juncture: Swallow your pride and go back to the drawing board and research the plays and formations that allowed McCoy and Benjamin success - even if it is the antithesis to "your" scheme. Simplify the schemes. No more Nate Peterman.
  3. I don't know how the Pegulas couldn't be personally embarrassed. I'd be irate if I were them.
  4. I think the more precise question is: "What is YOUR deal with trusting Nate Peterman to win you football games?" Everything this year at the QB position started with their almost arrogant confidence in Nate's ability.
  5. If that doesn't get the entire coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball fired, what will? No touchdowns? If that statistic comes to be, I'd burn the whole offense down and start over. I wouldn't care about loyalty, contracts, etc. You can't let that slide. It's suppossed to be professional football. Professionals are held accountable.
  6. Your movie write ups are excellent. You are this board's Mr. Moviefone. The way you set it up really gives us a lay of the land. I wonder by the time I'm ready to move on from this world how many Robin Hood and Grinch remakes will there be?
  7. I feel the Bills have seen everything they are going to see from him. I get the impression he wows in film study, knows the plays and gets it from a football intellectual point of view. He might be an excellent coach someday, who knows. However, you see what happens on the field and that's what matters. I am flummoxed by McDermott's thought process at QB. I'm ok with Allen. I get why Anderson is here. I don't understand why they had to trade McCarron, why Matt Barkley is here and why Nate Peterman wasn't released after the Chargers game.
  8. Absolutely. Seperation is knowing the play and the discipline, aptitude and consistency to run that crisp route every time. All those things can be coached. The NFL's greatest receivers have one thing in common, regardless of when they played: All top-shelf route runners.
  9. Excellent work, sir.
  10. Those large Chinese buffets. I'm convinced every case of flu and stomach flu in the United States begins in these restaurants. ? Kids fingers in the food. Adults fingers in the food. "Sampling" with their utensils. Never again.
  11. I remember when Matt Barkley was a can't miss #1 overall pick.
  12. Talent executes a plan. IMO, the planning and game strategy is the bigger problem for the Bills. Ultimately that falls on McDermott but on a practical week to week level, he's relying on his coordinator and coaches to frame out a plan, plays, etc. I'll save the Bills a lot of money and fire the entire offensive coaching staff and start anew with a coordinator with a proven track record of success in the NFL. No more mediocrity. No more college guys. I'd rather one bad season with Daboll versus three of them just so we can have "consistency." There's no reason to think any of it will improve. Daboll is Todd Haley without the attitude problems. Castillo and the rest of the unit coaches have clearly not gotten it done. I don't know why we'd entertain another season of more of the same.
  13. They will make a 30-30 about Nate Peterman's career in a few years. As a fan, I'm troubled they want him to play against the Bears. If McDermott hasn't lost a locker room yet over this guy, another Nateplosion should do it.
  14. More along the lines of tanks and soliders, with buses to drive them to the airport for a shower, some food and a free flight back home. (That we (US) will secretly pay for.) It's just the real politik of the situation, regardless of internal US political motives.
  15. If push comes to shove, I see the President sealing the border and the National Guard being the muscle to keep everyone in Mexico. I think the threat alone will force Mexico to do something. The last thing they (and the cartels that have infiltrated that government) want is a militarized, closed US/MEX border.
  16. He plays angry. I'll take it over "high motor."
  17. Won't be surprised to see KB dealt and another QB acquired. I think KB signed his departure papers with that block last night. Moderately surprised to see Pryor signed. Shocked to see the Daboll or Castillo lose their jobs. (Both deserve it.)
  18. Remember how the defense looked terrible against the Ravens and for about a half against the Chargers and then "something" happened? It was a change in coaching and strategy. Same players that are a lights out squad now.
  19. You can't play candy crush and expect to be successful in your nationwide terrorism campaign. It's amazing (sarcasm) that the police can find people using data from their cell phones.
  20. All we need is non-stop train horn. Why save it for just third downs? The Bills might be run over by a train but the fans will feel like they are on one!
  21. I'd offer the Carolina Panthers under Ron Rivera. Two time COY. I think Rivera has been one of the top coaches in the game. He's shown to be able to adapt and deviate from "the" plan. His players always play hard. You don't see or hear about a lot of player or coach dissention. Outside injuries, the team is always competitive. I think he's been a great mentor for Cam Newton. I think Newton under a different coach would have been a hot mess as a player coming out of school.
  22. Presentation is 90% of the sale. Whoever dresses Howie Long knows what they are doing. He looks sharp. Color combinations are spot on. I wish that NFL coaches would be held to a higher dress code. The visors, the Marrone look, the BB just woke up from a nap look - all should go.
  23. I don't think it's anymore than the organization making a decison to build a great Las Vegas team at the expense of their remaining time in Oakland. They want high draft picks in their prime, along with cap space to generate the "buzz" in their new market. They want the seats filled. Not sure that gets done by transplanting the "ok" Raiders team there. They are essentially taking the Rams template and executing it for themselves. I understand the business rationale for the moves. What I loathe is the wholesale selling out of Oakland Raider fans yet again by the Davis family and the NFL.
  24. It's sad that most of the guys mentioned are dead. Macho Man just edges out Brutus Beefcake for me. I thought Macho Man was always a fun interview. Best Tag Team: Demolition. They were champs for a long time.
  25. It's ok. The Bills are still important but to me but I don't spend the nice fall Sundays watching games or plan my life around seeing the games. I probably enjoy this site more than the actual Bills game over the years - reading the vast array of different opinions, participating in discussion.
