  1. What are your expectations for how it should be addressed next offseason? Im under the strong assumption that benjamin walks and I think it’s more likely than not that clay is gone. As a group of pass catchers do you think that we need to then add 3 starting quality players either in free agency or the top 45-ish picks in the draft? If they add only 1 top prospect or premier free agent is it not their group still because they chose to focus elsewhere?
  2. So you would argue not that they missed on their moves but that they have prioritized the position low enough thus far to have not made actual moves? but either way, wouldn’t either reflect on their own approach to the position?
  3. They had two offseasons, traded up in the draft for one starter (who the staff had experience with) and traded for another starter. The depth includes a guy out OC coached in college... outside Holmes it’s their dudes. Zay was a 2 and 3, benjamin a 3. Coleman and kerley are their decisions. no roster is ever a finished product even for a long term staff but at some point you have made the decisions to either get guys or let guys go that mean you have to own the results. How far do they have to go for you to put the group on them?
  4. We had a multi page debate culminating with you answering the question “do you think he ever catches another pass” with nope
  5. Wasnt it you that was adamant that Gordon was 100% done?
  6. The scary part is that at this point it’s their group. They gutted the previous regime and then traded up for zay (a guy this staff had experience with) traded for benjamin (another of personal interest) etc...
  7. It might be the other 4 games at 9 ppg that have skewed their perception of the offensive powerhouse you see
  8. This here is the weird dynamic of it all. Theres a cutoff somewhere around a late 80s birth year where it transitions from knowing one of the greatest runs in football history to only knowing one of the worst. its not old guys reminiscing for the very good while the pretty good is right in front of them. It’s all time great vs all time bad and a near instant change that ended up long sustained Afc championship maybe? As mentioned - seems weird otherwise
  9. Oh all they have to do is go a whole game to be within a half a game? They practically have it
  10. Well that, I guess... but... we could’ve let mahomes sit last year
  11. Of all the moves they made with shedding young guys, trading an expensive high mileage back on the wrong side of 30 is pretty reasonable
  12. Hes a 30 year old back. At this point anything you get back is a gift from the football gods. If it’s a day 2 pick it’s on par with finding a $100 bill on the ground. A backup wouldn’t be crazy on a win now team that needs a starter somewhere
  13. AND all that cap space. So ultimately the pick would come with a player being signed next year. anything day 2 I take in a heartbeat. Early day 3 I think harder on but I think a 4 I make the move. It’s less than 3 months of McCoy on the roster. A day 3 and a player is also a nice option. To be fair, just mccoy isn’t making a big difference to allen. Either give him tools now or get resources to do it later. But what’s happening now hardly seems productive.
  14. At that point the cap space is bigger than the pick
  15. Mid venture odds are against him. But at least he has a chance. That’s huge and much more than most. But if he hard pressed to say he’s more likely than not to pan out
  16. They had over 40m in dead money that season and folks on here were crucifying drew for having a contract where his cap hit was $5m over the norm for a year after nearly a decade of team friendly numbers was great being in the dome tonight Honestly, they should’ve pulled everyone earlier. I hated seeing kamara and Thomas get touches that late. With drew it was just a matter of getting to the first natural break to pull him but you could’ve protected some guys that have been carrying heavy loads quite a bit earlier i guess the theory was slow reliable first downs are better than your d facing a hurry up offense
  17. For someone telling others to calm down... well... yea...
  18. Cam can be very accurate. Cam gets lazy and often tries to get away with things because he has the rocket arm. He loves those deep balls across the field off his back foot for instance. While they have some commonality- I don’t think it’s apples to apples in the cause of the accuracy inconsistencies
  19. Nice game for Vanderesch. Made a few plays. He was a popular one here back in April but I hadn’t seen him play much even in college
  20. Hell of a play but protect that ball Hopkins
  21. It’s been an excellent game, so I can’t complain
  22. Clowney is a freak athlete. But we knew that.
  23. Hes the type of guy that even if not stellar, fans will love. im not sure if yolo would’ve chalked me up as a hater or not... I would’ve preferred a young back under the assumption this is shadys final year. Additionally, if he sprains an ankle I do not think ivory can be a workhorse for 4-6 weeks. But in a limited rotational role, I’ve always loved watching the dude run.
  24. Yea, he’s always been a tank. Age is the question mark with the signing, and that’s always tough to predict with a running back... but no ones ever questioned ivory’s ability and desire to truck a defender.
