  1. Do you think he even read it before posting or his agent just said can I toss something up and he said yes? Well we wouldn’t own his rights next year, unless you think a tag and trade for a 32 year old was the plan
  2. I will say, a less extensive but even remotely written by him would’ve tugged the heart strings more... but still give him credit for green lighting this to be written for him
  3. A curiosity- If he can only sign the tender and nothing else, how’d they split his salary and commit to a no tag? Can the tender have various tweaks to terms?
  4. Well, hindsight and us acknowledging we don’t know jack about most of these people’s personal lives- as much as we like to pretend
  5. Another consideration is scout team work, which I guess he has excelled at: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/02/04/patriots-defense-credits-brian-hoyer-for-scout-team-preparation/
  6. Houston’s running back just went down and they re paying people in Monopoly money. SD doesn’t have their back and were also interested but not trading. that it was quick doesn’t mean anyone was giving value. Weve likely been trying to pull to pull the trigger for a month
  7. I’d say at most about 20. I dont think they try to have him over 300 on the season
  8. Do you not think we were dialing everyone we could this week?
  9. How were we not in this for a 3 and half his salary. even if he walks we’d get a 3 compensatory Worst case was a free half price rental
  10. Might already be a year late, joe.
  11. What about LeSean McCoy leads you to believe in the next 10 days he will humble himself to sign a cheap deal and become a role player in buffalo?
  12. I’ll echo to simmer with preseason punt averages ?
  13. He signed 4.5m guaranteed. he wasn’t being cut.
  14. I didn’t realize that but still maintain the sentiment I think
  15. Why the wait?
  16. Depends what a team decides to pay him and how badly he actually decides he wants to be in the nfl and I wouldn’t even assume he gets that nod here at this point. So many WRs out there, little urgency to protect them, little advantage to develop them, and little benefit in practice as a scout player.
  17. The link you included notes he traded an OT expected to be cut for him. The one one thing I’ll say for this trade is that Houston should have a great shot at being a top seed this year with their division being trash. If this gets them homefield in the playoffs and a bye week, still a big overpay but filling your biggest hole on a possible super bowl run is a bit priceless. youd think there’s a better option out there though and a GM would’ve done better today.
  18. This is why you don’t operate without a GM. What an awful day all around.
  19. Clowney really didn’t want to go there and the dolphins really wanted to upset their locker room still eh?
  20. Much like beane praising duke as not many guys he’d rather have on a jump ball, I’d take with a grain of salt “does everything, great guy, player and expect big things” a few weeks before cutting him with a grain
  21. I think it’s also a touch of attitude. Think shady takes a 50-50 role, for instance? Or handles being asked for a wage reduction to reflect his new situation? youd have to pay and play him as a clear cut 1 and I’m not sure they loved either of those Expected completely, assumingely for the squad exemption
  22. I think if you grab a list of top running backs you’d be hard pressed to find any you would take shady over at this point. He’s at best average and certainly on the decline.
