Total receiving yards tell similar stories. That we had bad pass catchers means he stood out among peers in buffalo but not in the wider world of running backs.
2018: 28th among backs
2017: 9th
2016: 14th
2015: 24th
we paid him as a top 5 back. He played as a good back but more middle of the pack. That’s why he’s no longer playing on that contract. He wasn’t a flop but he wasn’t elite
A 4 year 34m contract and traded kiko for him...
half his seasons under 1000 yards and half 4.0 or fewer ypc...
i like shady and think we came out better paying him than kiko but I waffle on his time here
Meh. You probably won’t like the 2021 bills in that case as tre, josh and tremaine likely will be on even bigger deals.
If if they are game changing stars, it’ll be great. If it’s dak, maybe less so.
They are essentially tagging him a year early to preserve being able to use the tag in 2022.
call me crazy, but I’d rather just tag him for real next year if you really want him.
As a road division game it’s big in a ton of tie breakers and tone setting.
its not the end of the world to lose but sweeping the jets and fins would be huge in playoff implications
Yup. I think you can argue tre is there but Edmonds, Allen, Oliver, would be the keys. With Oliver, Hughes befitting with a top season is another.
The potential is there though
Unfortunately we had the back end depth but are missing a few of the elite guys they have. Hopefully a few dudes step up and show they are those players though.
Do you think he even read it before posting or his agent just said can I toss something up and he said yes?
Well we wouldn’t own his rights next year, unless you think a tag and trade for a 32 year old was the plan
I will say, a less extensive but even remotely written by him would’ve tugged the heart strings more... but still give him credit for green lighting this to be written for him
A curiosity-
If he can only sign the tender and nothing else, how’d they split his salary and commit to a no tag? Can the tender have various tweaks to terms?
Another consideration is scout team work, which I guess he has excelled at:

Houston’s running back just went down and they re paying people in Monopoly money. SD doesn’t have their back and were also interested but not trading.
that it was quick doesn’t mean anyone was giving value.
Weve likely been trying to pull to pull the trigger for a month
