Did boomer just pick the Cowboys because stephon Gilmore isn’t playing? I’m assuming a joke but not even close to a good one

Seems like just the type of thing mark would post if trying not to be figured out
-
the flip side is it could be a coaching/discipline issue on them committing penalties but it’s pretty darn skewed towards opponents never committing them too. paired with the overturned PI going against them... fans have some feelings going.

2019 Playoffs. 1st round
NoSaint replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think a lot of fans are so used to thanksgiving meaning you need 9 games to go right to stay alive that they are missing that we are as close to locks as humanly possible and chasing the pats and by proxy potentially home field advantages/byes is probably the better one to root for. -
Local writer did an interesting piece on the saints and penalties that was a bit eye opening...calls in their favor vs against. Could be discipline, could be a little ill will. hands to the face - called 7 times on the (most in league) and 0 on opponents defensive holding - 9 on them (2nd in league), and only 1 on opponents DPI - 6 against them (10th) opponents 2 (28th) Offensive holding- 22 (1st) vs 8 (fewest) their +33 ratio is more than 2nd and 3rd combined.

He’s also been about the most outspoken against the league office of any coach I recall. The saints vs the nfl narrative has been an interesting story

Dwayne Haskins taking selfies misses last play of game
NoSaint replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ultimately, that he took a selfie is good ammo for grumpy old men to be angry. it seems to have little to do with the issue at hand. he wasn’t engaged at the end and that’s an honest and embarrassing mistake. Thinking the game was over he was having fun with fans. The story is nothing to do with a camera and everything to do with missing situational awareness in an easy moment -
Snap Poll: Should NFL Football have a "Mercy Rule"?

honestly, I don’t even care if the comeback is possible. You finish the game. -
Spitballing a Tre White contract extension
NoSaint replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
but you benefit from a year in his prime at $1.8m in cash paid. So it’s all a trade off. its not like the bills and his agent aren’t looking at his overall career worth based on when it slots up though. tagged on the end of this deal, or replacing his final year? -
Still worried about the Bills' offense?
NoSaint replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you can start any thread you want, and people can go ahead and not agree with the premise of it when you do. I think the problem here is assuming the trend line off very limited data points. They played good games. They are also remarkably healthy, and one of those was the Dolphins. the performances were also pretty darn close to “average” for offenses against these teams. the dolphins average point differential is 16.6 per game and allowing 32 per game. We outperformed slightly on the total but remarkably close on differential and we were pretty spot on average to what the broncos allow in points. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a 20-3 win be a situation that gets the offense much praise. Having back to back relatively average games gets more of a good job than a rub it in people’s faces reaction from me is all -

maybe, maybe not. like I said, good day but I don’t know that our offense is at a level for us to have call out threads. -
Still worried about the Bills' offense?
NoSaint replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, we scored less than league average points against a better than average defense. We scored essentially spot on what they allow. Relatively average day. the defense pitched a heckuva game against a bad offense. it was a good day. I don’t know that anyone should be doing call out threads on behalf of the offense though. -
Congratulations Frank Gore - #3 all-time leading rusher!

it was a good game. you might be pushing a little hard for 20 points but it was a nice win -
Steelers QB Mason Rudolph fined $50K by NFL
NoSaint replied to stosh64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn’t do any type of research on comparable situations/punishments... but it feels fair that he’d be punished substantially but not overwhelmingly for his behavior -
super edgy! Was just pointing out that as a largely white male group here, there may be elements at play in the talk of why other races and genders feel the way they do that many here won’t fully understand. As it’s a football thread let’s call it a day here. Plus, I have no desire to debate it. to the list, without context in the OP I’d guess hearing that it was a radio show maybe it came About conversationally and wasn’t prepped for in advance causing names to fall through the cracks? With such obvious omissions I jump straight to then shooting from the hip and just spacing on some options that could be on it. But could be a weird qualifier added.

Tom Brady looks and sounds “checked out” to me
NoSaint replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I used the phrase hot trash a little tongue in cheek. my point being that replacing Brady’s contribution is getting easier and they are still the top of the pile. hopefully the teams trend begins to align with his -

Am I the only one that hopes Brady is playing a little better than we are seeing him get credit for? if he’s hot trash and the pats are rolling that’s not a good thing for us -
I agree it’ll be week 1 because that’s relatively in line with past incidents (see haynesworth). I won’t think it’s cause of an unverifiable accusation though as that becomes a default in any punishment levied for an altercation moving forward. Week 5 vs 1 means little to the Nfl. Every fight ending in a racial accusation means a lot to the Nfl. Either they verify it or they can’t. If they can’t, they can’t let it change the outcome. If the can, it becomes a debate.
