    A reprieve from a sport played once per week? As soon as football ends.....in addition to following the draft/FA..........I start following NCAA hoops, NBA and NHL a little closer and a couple weeks later I am watching MLB spring training games. I know there are people on here who just follow the NFL because of the Bills..........we have a contingent of that at our tailgate and that's always going to be a % of NFL fans...........but there is no need for reprieve from sports for real fans of it.

    He's reminded me a lot of Brad Kaaya but with better wheels. Can't see how that's first round with all the QB talent in the NFL now.........but Kaaya was grossly overrated by draftniks as well.

    I would. But the majority of the most active people on this forum are from far out of town who don't attend Bills games in Buffalo let alone come here for a minor league football product.

    Yeah I think he definitely wants to keep playing but not sure there is a desire anywhere for what he brings to the table at this point.

    Totally agree on the highlighted. The issue is that they drafted for "beating people up or splash plays" and haven't gotten THAT exactly.......so they have some very pricey 5th year options and potential second deals to mull on defense............while at the same time lacking some talent up front and playmaking ability on offense because of those investments..........and that's putting some hard miles on their QB.

    While I get what you are saying........I think growing up in a small rural farming community is a much different experience than growing up a couple short bus rides from a city.......which is what a SUBurb is.

     

    Firebaugh is rural.  

     

    The population is well over 90% hispanic.  The school is almost entirely hispanic.  

     

    The point being........Josh didn't need pop culture or anything external to learn how to relate/communicate with people from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds........he was different every time he left the house.

     

    AND his father employed a lot of the kids and the family members of the kids that he went to school with so he had to be kind and gracious and a lot of other things the average BMOC high school kid does not have to be.

     

    That's likely why he's such an emotionally intelligent guy who always seems to say the right thing.

    Good blitzers and good LOS pass rushers aren't the same. A lot of the best blitzers are small and excel by getting under or being out of the reach of OL. LOS pass rushers win in entirely different ways. Edmunds has shown flashes of play making ability when aligned outside at the LOS........SF game last year was an example.........but he's rarely used that way. Edmunds is doing a better job blitzing this year but he's not very good at it. Last year he was putrid........like 74 blitzes and wasn't credited with even 1 pressure.

    You are trying too hard here. Statistically.........if you are a first round pick you are about 3x more likely to make a Pro Bowl in your career than if you were a second round pick.

    I think you are being tongue in cheek here.........but Firebaugh isn't a suburb and the school district is only 3% white.

    McKenzie will be a free agent again. I'm not sure how he'd hold up as a regular slot receiver. He got hurt about 5 different times in the NE game. He's fast but small and kinda' clumsy. Receiver is a real need for 2022.

    If Zimmer hadn't gotten injured their DT rotation could spare Star........but when Butler and Ankou have to come in together.........it's a passers paradise in the pocket........no push whatsoever.

    Should have done this to start with. Changing position groups entirely going into his $12M walk season is much too late. Would like to see him as an OLB with the Bills playing more 4-3 base next year though but that won't happen unless he gets hurt and someone steps in and plays more instinctively. He's just proved so far to be too slow of a blinker to play up to his physical potential in the middle..........needs to be where he can play fast.

    Well your eyes are deceiving you then. Consider this: His receptions per game are about the same(5.5 in 2020 vs 5.4 in 2021). But he has produced a staggering 21 less first downs in just 1 less game played.........53 in 2020 vs 32 in 2021. Last year he was diving between tacklers for extra yards.........this year he's turtled up short numerous times leaving the Bills with a yard or two to convert. Especially since he injured his ribs. And he's down 3.4 yards per reception this year from a decent 11.8 to an anemic, RB-like 8.4 this season. That's woeful. Hopefully the week off has him feeling spry going into the playoffs because as McKenzie proved this week they should be getting more from that position.

    It gets colder at night........but in general, the wind decreases significantly in the evening in WNY and that's the only concern. There are certain jobs that cannot be done in high wind so companies typically schedule those for evenings or very early mornings in this area of the country. The Pats MNF game and the Ravens playoff game last year were weather/wind events that would have been bad at any time of the day.

    Yeah it's very misplaced in the NFL. But Boston is a baseball town and in baseball there is no salary cap and the Red Sox are one of the 3 wealthiest franchises so there is never any good reason for them to have a down season...........so it's easy for them to apply that logic to Belichick as well. In reality though this is just giving the fans what sells the day after a loss. Unlikely that the writers actually believe that Belichick hasn't done a good job with that team but that's not what sells papers to irate fans the Monday after a loss.

    Yeah he has had a lot of plays where he has hit the dirt quick after catches and relied on the officials to protect him........sometimes it's kept them behind the sticks. His 1st down conversions are down significantly compared to last year when he was running thru contact to get RAC.

    Beasley has made some important plays this year but he's not had a good year. The Bills throw the ball like crazy so the catch numbers are going to be there but the yards per catch is ghastly which is why his yards per game is down 20 yards. He takes a beating for a little guy so he might have hit a wall like high mileage RB. But hopefully his brief downtime allows him to get healthier and more explosive because 8.4 yards per catch at 75% completion rate is utterly anemic production per pass attempt for a WR of any kind.

    Generally accepted as the best HC in NFL history and has lead NE to 6 Super Bowl victories..........including one just 3 seasons ago..........but he deserves to be put under the microscope after dominating the NFL for 2 decades and winning 9 games this season and likely going to the playoffs with a rookie QB. That's how it goes in big markets.

    I can understand a Bills player trying to use any media slight to try to motivate them...........they aren't being covered by the NY Post or Boston Globe........the Buffalo media is very easy on the team.....so the players really gotta' look for it. But the fans that STILL care and get exercised about what the long-exiled Jerry Sullivan has to say look like feeble minded idiots. Jerry still owns you guys.
