  1. Hamlin looked pretty solid in the preseason... I guess that's something?
  2. Dang, they kept Darrynton Evans just to be the 4th string KOR? He must be a special teams ace? I wish they would put the special teams lineups on these things, too.
  3. I always thought he was kind of a dink. But he sure was good at football!
  4. Count me among the haters who thought McDaniel would wash out in half a season. I was wrong - He's a legit coach with a chance to be great someday.
  5. SF is super sketchy. It's bizarre, because the same streets that are littered with dope fiends and human waste are home to $4000/month apartments and multi-million dollar homes. My last visit there, I saw a homeless guy take a dump on the sidewalk in broad daylight, 5 blocks from Mark Zuckerberg's house.
  6. Dick Vermeil wasn't the one throwing dimes 50 yards downfield under pressure. Warner was great because the game moved slower for him. He could make all the reads and throw people open with anticipation in 3 seconds or less. That, and his arm had all the attributes to make every throw - quick release, touch, accuracy, and strength. When you watch his breakdown videos, he's always criticizing QBs for missing "open" reads - I think a lot of NFL QBs just can't see those receivers as being open the way he could. Just watch his tape next to Tyrod Taylor's and you'll see what I mean.
  7. Facts are facts - The Bills are not a top-tier team on paper. They will have to be much better than the sum of their parts to be successful this year, but that's been done by many teams before.
  8. It's amazing what they pass off as journalism nowadays. A 19-year veteran misses minicamp, and the team is in total disarray. I'm pretty sure Rodgers would retire before playing on a bona fide train wreck of team.
  9. My favorite NFL rule is the one that says you have to sign a guy to your 53 if you pluck him off another team's PS. That helps keep it a rare occurrence, especially before the season starts and injury replacement needs are minimal. I think it helps keep a lot more players with the teams that have invested in them.
  10. Dang, I'm more excited about the practice squad than I am about the active roster!
  11. There is only one WR on the team that Josh has thrown a regular season pass to. He will have 10 INTS by week 5.
  12. Can't think of anything in the world I could care less about.
  13. The take-home lesson here is: spread the ball out, Josh! Don't let any one WR put up big numbers, or we're toast.
  14. Classy move cutting Kyron Brown early so he will be able to sign with a contender.
  15. Sean McDermott would absolutely kick my ass, then he would take my lunch money and wrap my undies around my head. I doubt I could get anywhere near him.
  16. Yes, love him or hate him, Diggs was a bona fide baller, and there is not one of those in this WR group. Really, there isn't (yet) one for Josh to throw to at any position. We have nothing but hope at this point. An old familiar feeling.
  17. And not to take any of the shine off it, because it was great to watch, but they had a pretty soft schedule that year.
  18. That was 1990-91. 13-3; The Chiefs clobbered them 33-6, but the other two losses were 3 points each, one in OT.
  19. I'm never not excited for the season, even going back to the drought days. I have nothing personally invested in it, I just want to see how the Bills do. Each year brings new players and different story lines. And now that we have Josh Freaking Allen, every year is legitimately exciting. I say to the OP: Put things in their proper perspective, and just be a fan. Maybe the Bills suck this year. But who cares? It doesn't affect our lives at all. At least, it shouldn't.
  20. Remember that 'we don't have positions' on the Buffalo Bills. Joe Andreessen will make the team as a WR, mark my words.
  21. I hear people say this every year, and it's so dumb. You don't 'get injuries out of the way'. They just keep happening, regardless of whether or not they have already happened. In fact, the impact of injuries on a team is bound to be worse if they happen early, because the affected players are likely to play hurt and get even more hurt later. There is no annual NFL injury cap, where once you reach it your players no longer get hurt. Nope, they just keep getting hurt.
  22. Going to be a lot of 2-TE sets and RB screens for the Bills this September. The WR cupboard is bare.
  23. Today, probably not. But ask me again in about 6 weeks.
  24. I don't know about Bass.... Yes, 3 for 3 but they were chip shots and two went in at funny angles. That almost seems to be how he prefers to kick them - Is it just me, or does he almost never kick the ball straight ahead? It's terrifying.
