Well thats your opinion & ur entitled to that. But i dont care enough about him to be salty. But case in point, Sullys column was him voicing his opinions... Well sometimes people just don't like your opinion. Many didnt like his either. Its probably a big reason why the BN pulled his column from him. There were some articles I liked from him, but too many were just a lazy narrative written buy a guy who seemed to care more about being seen as the smartest observer of our sports teams, than simply telling a story & educating his readers. Dude comes across as a narcissist.

I dont misunderstand what a columnist is, i even said "if its someones opinion, I want it to be one that not only challenges me & educates me, but one that doesn't come across as a douche." He came across as one at the end of his work here & he probably hasn't changed. Thats my opinion, also one that seems to be shared by a lot of people.

Seems like he takes zero responsibility for why readers turned on him & for why he had his column taken away. Its everyones fault but his. But when i read sports pages, or any news in particular, I want to read facts & what the story is. And if its someones opinion I want it to be one that not only challenges me & educates me, but one that doesn't come across as a douche. For the last 5-10 years of Sully's writing, more often than not I asked myself why do I read this guys work. I wish him the best as I dont wish no ill will on anyone, but I wont miss his column, thats for sure.

Our Problem... Josh Allen Can't Win

I hear ya. We could all use to be as lucky as you. With my upvote on ur post, you now have 2 likes. How's that for a pointless thread? -
It's gotten to that point where its getting harder to tell if people are joking or serious. I just can't tell anymore. The 1st part is right, but Gillislee having potential to be great? Yeah I just don't see it
-
And if we don't want neither? Do we just ignore the poll? If we have to choose one of them i guess Milano? Just because we could use more depth at LB. But tbh i wouldn't want either of them.

Well in fairness the last 7th rounder to beat him was the nephew of Bills HOF Great, Jim Kelly. Idk if you've heard of him but I read that he was pretty good in his day lol. I do wish we would've drafted Chad ourselves, but I can understand why they mightve been hesitant to do so. But yeah, i could care less if he signs here, but I do like we're at least looking to continuously improve our roster, no matter if it happens or not.

Bills must have lost confidence in Schmidt

Yep, i think thats how it goes... but now we really only have one. So maybe we can finally say SuperBowl? -
Some of these posts just go to show the duplicit nature that comes with being a fan. Getting pissed at our staff for doing their due diligence on a 6'7 246lb athlete, drafted in the 1st round. Yet if they didn't at least take a look at him, fans in turn would be pissed we didn't bring him in for a look. I'd rather our staff took as many opportunities as they could, to find players for this team, as opposed to the opposite of not taking those chances at all. If you had to throw a bullseye on a dart board, would you want only 1 dart or would you want as many darts as possible? I don't see anything wrong at all with bringing Lynch in here for a look. It doesnt mean they plan on trading Allen & making PL the opening day starter. Theyre just bringing him in for a look, that's it. I don't get why people get so worked up over these things.

Quality Bills Jersey-Help
brianthomas replied to MakeBuffaloGreatAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are a couple that were sent to me awhile back from members here: http://www.cheapjerseysclearance.us.com/nike-bills-17-josh-allen-royal-blue-team-color-mens-stitched-nfl-vapor-untouchable-limited-jersey-jj-94.html https://www.dhgate.com/product/new-seattle-mariners-women-jersey-24-ken/261609781.html?m=5|ff8080814fa1c0a201505b7c77527a5b||261609781|#gw-0-3|ff80808164a288950164e6da5d731e1c The guy that sent me these said he ordered a couple from them & that the quality was nice. Alot cheaper as you can see than the 100% authentic ones. These i believe are made in China but aren't the authentic ones too? Only difference i could spot was in the 2nd link, on the back of the jersey at the top with the buffalo not being there. But on the 1st link its there, but i think the name plate letters are a tad smaller. Idk tho, could just be the picture used. But for someone on a limited budget, perhaps these will interest you. -

still cool... sounds like you have a nice little collection of Bills Memorabilia there! I had a Bruce Smith & Kelly jersey but unfortunately i lost them in the fire. Same with my old Hasek jersey. I do still own a Fitzpatrick jersey tho. Who's technically the greatest QB the Bills have had in nearly 2 decades haha -

haha i take it you're the proud owner of one of their jerseys? Heck if i wouldve had the money, I would be on that list too. Luckily for me my house burnt down, so i didnt have the money to spend on a jersey like that. Suppose thats one positive of losing everything in a fire, you don't have money to buy a Sammy Watkins Bills jersey lol -
He made our O Line look bad, so for that reason alone i say bring him in. It also could just be that our O Line is bad lol But at this point I'd be bringing in everyone & anyone i could to see if we could upgrade an area of need. As long as it doesnt hurt our cap situation, send out the wagons & bring em on home!

Quality Bills Jersey-Help

1 of the reasons i dont own a modern jersey with a players name on it is that you just never know if that player is gonna make it or not. Can you imagine if you bought a Losman jersey back in the day or a Poz or Watkins one? They were much hyped when they got here, but nowadays it'd be hard to wear it. So thats a couple hundred bucks to memorialize a mistake in Bills history lol. Thats why in the past i'd simply get a jersey with my own name on it or leave it blank. But this year i bought one of those authentic looking knockoffs, because i dont have the money to spend on a dish rag if the player doesnt work out. I sent the OP links to a couple sites that sell named Jerseys for cheap. Hit me up if you're interested & if this is against the rules or spirit of this board, mods please let me know! -
Season Expectations: What Am I Missing?

Nobody circles the wagons like Dog Marrone! Waggins, dogged ma'bone... I'm sure theres a joke to be made somewhere in there but i'm too exhausted from debating about punters the past few hours lol -

I'm curious, in all these posts questioning the competency of this staff for the way they addressed our punting situation, I haven't seen one of your thoughts on what you think they should've done differently. I've offered a few scenarios & addressed them in previous posts, but do you care to offer one yourself? And regarding Corey Coleman, just because a player you take a flyer on doesnt pan out, it shouldn't serve as an indictment on their ability to evaluate talent. Perhaps if it were their own draft selections, such as say Josh Allen doesnt work out, or Tremaine Edmunds or if Tre White didnt, we could question their ability to judge talent. Because they invested time & significant draft capital pursuing those players. But with Corey Coleman it was just a stab in the dark. I think thats why you've been criticized so much for trying to make that comparison. They simply brought him in to see if a change of scenery would be a difference maker for him. It obviously wasnt & they parted ways with him. And one final thought on that subject. Some times players just don't turn into what you hope they will be. Look at Corey Coleman for instance lol. Drafted by the Browns with the 15th pick of the 1st round. The Browns thought very highly of him & selected him but it didnt work out. Ryan Leaf, we all remember that name. Sometimes players are just busts. When teams draft players, theyre drafting very young men. Its a big transition coming from college & into the NFL. Theres no guarantees ever that a player is gonna work out. -
Season Expectations: What Am I Missing?

I think the fact that our dead cap money spent this year is $50 Million, leading the league in that stat, while the team with the next most is $25 million less than that, goes to show the state of our team when Beane & Co took over. We as fans tend to over estimate the strength of our team. I can remember all too many times in the midst of our 17 year drought where we all hoped we were a few pieces away from contending. Arguably some times maybe we were, but more often than not we have fielded a roster lacking quality talent. This year you could say that as well. Us fans try to gloss over the weaknesses, QB, OL, WR, LB's Pass rush, but these are real weaknesses. All teams have them but we've drafted for one scheme, only to jettison those players in favor of another, all to do it all over again. Point is that this staff inherited a mess & its gonna take time to turn it around. However i think most here are okay with that. I'm not all doom & gloom & i dont think the majority think we're in a terrible position. Perhaps we're just wiser now, being realistic with our expectations, having gone thru this all before. -
The Punter Situation/New Punter

I hear ya but how else would you expect them to address that position? Any great kickers normally stay on with their current teams. Theres not a bunch of great kickers hanging around waiting for a team to sign them, theyre already signed. Most of the good kickers stay signed with 1 team for the majority of their careers. But Jon Ryan if you google his name, he's labeled as A Seahawks Great. The Bills took a chance on him & dude was no slouch. They mightve been able to pry away a veteran punter from another team, but perhaps that wouldve cost them more money. More money than they would like to spend on a punter. I suppose the Bills couldve drafted a punter, that wouldve been an option. But imagine what our fan base wouldve said if we drafted a punter? We had too many other positions of need to fill where i'm sure our staff didnt feel it would be wise to spend a draft pick on. I imagine during this offseason they figured 1 of these 3 guys would rise to the top & when that didnt happen they snatched one up under the big nose of Bill Belicheat. But i'll say again, i just don't know what else they couldve done that wouldve been reasonable. And with that you guys have a good night -

Money for sure gets factored in to it for sure. But if Schmidt was nailing punts at a 48 yard average they wouldve spent the money to keep him. Reading up on this new guy, he kicks left footed so returners may not be as used to the way the ball comes down. He also learned how to kick while dealing with the wind when he was growing up. That'll be really handy here at home. And last year he had 24 punts inside the 20 yard line with only 3 being touchbacks... Thats pretty good accuracy -

Check this out, his punting in training camp was creating oohs & ahhs from the fans: http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/sports/20180806/rookie-punter-corey-bojorquez-if-getting-leg-up-on-competition How often do you hear comments like that about a punter? With more searching you can find more info on him. But he set school records in college & tbh I'm surprised New England didnt keep him. Another good thing about this kid is how young he is. He's only 22 years old. He could be with us for a long time if all goes according to plan. Ps thats it for me, i've talked enough about a punter for today haha
