  1. I remember seeing Lotulelei's name being thrown around here a lot prior to the Draft, as a player many thought the Bills should pursue. After hearing this news of his retirement, I'm glad the Bills didn't pick him up. To be honest I even double checked to make sure we didn't sign him, as a rookie announcing his early retirement is quite the Billsy thing to happen to a team.
  2. This dude has only caught 47 passes over 5 seasons. Was on a 3 year contract paying $10 Million & he requested to be released after being asked to take a pay cut. Given his production, what makes this guy think he's worth more than what he was being paid? With his stat line he'd be lucky now to be added as a depth player somewhere. I know McBeane & Co. have a tendency to acquire Carolina has beens, but this is 1 guy I'd like them to stay away from. Only way I'd be okay with it is if they brought him in for the league minimum on a try out contract. Other than that this guy is a hard NO imo. GO BILLS!
  3. Nice video.... thanks for posting this! Allen should really fit in well here within the community. Can't wait to see him wearing our red white & blue! GO BILLS!
  4. fyi Jasper was drafted in the 7th round of the 2011 draft... Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jasper
  5. Well at the time the Phillips pick made a lot of sense. Best player available at a position of need. Like other posters have mentioned, if this were the Bills of the past, they would've picked a player slated to go in the 6th round or something. It's refreshing seeing their plan come into shape. Yes you can say we were lucky he fell to us, but we also were patient. They didnt panic by trading more draft capital to move up. They stayed where they were & waited, & were rewarded by him falling to us.
  6. The Phillips pick was so obvious that 95 other teams passed on him before we took him. As far as you saying the Bills are lucky, well whats that saying? Good teams create their own luck? One could say that thats what McBeane have been doing
  7. its insane how many picks the Browns have.... Meanwhile, the Bills wont pick for a few hours yet haha To be honest I fully expect us to trade back into the 2nd round, I just don't know how they'll get there
  8. Yep, the Bills also brought him in for a predraft visit back in 2017. Here's his player profile from the team site, including a pdf breakdown of his measurables & stats http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/marcus-sayles/3d797459-a017-4a0c-babd-2e3fa0b066fa/ Seems like he'd be a good depth signing. A tad undersized but he does have some skill
  9. Seems most are glad theyre gone... me on the other hand I have mixed feelings. I know alot of them took part in charitable activities around the community, shedding light on causes or giving support to those who were in need. I suppose one could say they served as local ambassadors for the team as well in some ways. On game day we would see them doing their thing on the sidelines, but any other day of the week they were just as active in the community. Perhaps just doing another job or something more. For me this topic is a little harder since I used to know a few Jills & I know how dedicated to the team & fan base they were. The ones i knew were as passionate about the Bills as most of us here. Possibly even more so since they arguably couldve spent more of their actual life doing work for the team & franchise... It is what it is i guess
  10. Fergie? Yuck haha. She looks like a mongrel. To each their own i guess. But yeah people dont use the search function nearly enough
  11. I don't get it. Original poster said Rosen to Buffalo talk begins at 3 minutes but all I heard was that Bruschi was an idiot... sorry IS an idiot. Like everyone said. If Beane & Co. are that convinced of Rosen being THE guy, then concerns such as him not wanting to play here wouldnt be an issue. I just can't see us paying that stiff price to move up to #3 for a guy who doesn't wanna play here. Maybe back in 1983 but not now, not with this regime. Stranger things have happened of course... such as Bruschi being asked for his opinion when everyone knows dudes an idiot
  12. Wow cant believe he got that much. For the past few years he's been one of the better values in terms of contract cost vs performance. A quick google search netted this result: http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/227476/patriots-legarrette-blount-one-of-best-values-in-nfl-history Well hey good for him. I'm sure he wanted a longer term contract but dude wanted to get paid haha
  13. So far this offseason I've been pleased with what our staff has done, with the 1 exception of Chris Ivory. Ivorys age, performance, salary all seem questionable for why we'd want to add him. Legarrette Blount in my opinion would've been a far better option than Ivory. I dont know the terms of his contract with the Lions but I imagine he could've been had for 2-3 mil per year. Ive always thought he was a solid back. Runs tough & would appear to be a good locker room addition, just from his experience. Man has 2 superbowls now with 2 different teams. Good signing by the Lions... still wish we wouldve signed him & the Lions got Ivory. As with all things time will tell I suppose.
  14. yeah i trust the process too but i dont see how you can point to Cam's development as a reason for why we should believe we can develop a qb here. Do we have ken Dorsey as our qb coach? Norv Turner maybe? No. I guess i'm in the camp of these other posters where i just dont see the central point here, other than the general idea of trusting the process lol.
  15. seriously made a new topic for him when theres already a recent thread about him that turned into a pukefest? God I cant wait til the Draft :/
  16. since the Jets resigned McCown it looks like Bridgewater is back on the market. Perhaps he's in play for the Bills.
  17. Tyrod or Kap? If you were to take the silent protest away by Kap, i think everyone on this board would pick Kap hands down. Its all the other business thats influencing everyones opinions... the politics of Kap. Talent wise, what happens on the field, Kaepernick is hands down a better qb, i dont think its even a debate. Just my opinion of course!
  18. I think if the Eagles were seriously wanting to trade Foles, the Jets wouldve been in on him or perhaps another team. I just dont see the Jets signing Bridgewater if Foles wouldve been available for a mid round pick. I see the Eagles holding on to Foles at the very least to training camp & most likely for the whole season. Philly doesnt really NEED to trade him. Having an mvp superbowl winning qb on ur team isnt such a bad thing to have
  19. well said! Unfortunately i fear this thread is about to fall off a cliff. Thread lock incoming in 5, 4, 3...
  20. please, anyone but Matt "Nobody Wants" Moore... at this point I'd like Foles obviously if it wasnt too expensive, but even though im not thrilled about it, I can see McCown being a smart choice. He'd likely be signed for cheap, he's familiar with the Erkhardt Perkins system we'll be deploying this season & would be a great mentor for whoever we draft. Get er done Beane, my F5 key is not gonna last much longer!
  21. After the recent trading of Glenn it should be 100% obvious to most that we are moving up in this draft to get our QB. And with the acquisition of additional picks, we can move up without mortgaging the entire draft. We'll still have 5 other picks to spend on players & we'll take a shot at our franchise QB. After spending the past 20 years with only drafting a QB 3 times in the 1st round, the status quo is no longer an option. These guys have a plan & they are rebuilding this team methodically & piece by piece. When all is said & done theres never any guarantee the QB you pick is gonna work out, but i dont think this bunch is gonna pick a JP Losman or EJ Manuel. I hate to say it but trust the process.
  22. i love the moves & everyone ive talked to has agreed as well. The status quo will no longer do. These guys want to win & they have a plan. TRUST THE PROCESS because for once we FINALLY HAVE ONE!!! I couldnt be happier... maybe come draft day I will be. Circle dem wagons... GO BILLS!!!
