  1. For all you know he was listening to R Kelly while peeing on the Bills hat & it was actually a sign of his affection & love for our team
  2. Idk who made these brackets like this but shame that the Bills & Packers met this round. Would've been a good Superbowl But OP thanks for sharing! GO BILLS!
  3. Here's a video of the Ryan Fitzpatrick Fred Jackson retirement roast for anyone like me who hasnt seen it: Pretty funny indeed
  4. I've never been a fan of us signing him but I'm curious. You said he wasn't himself. My issue with all the money we gave him was that he had 1 good year in his career, with the other seasons being cut short with injuries, which as you know is what happened when he got here as well. So maybe Murphy is just an oft injured DE who can never stay on the field. Or maybe he can put up 9-10 sacks a year. Our GM obviously made the investment hoping he could contribute. Hopefully he can because we surely need him to. But until he does I'll always look at this contract in a negative way, paying $7-8 mil per year for a guy who only plays 40% of the snaps, and thats when he's healthy enuff to do so. Hopefully he has a solid year this year
  5. So many things not to like about the title. 1st off its: 'A top, not an top' 2nd no listing of the name of who youre even talking about & 3rd, Wow is overstating things quite a bit. For those of us who were clickbaited into this thread, seeing its Donald Penn, the soon to be 36 year old OT from Oakland, who by PFF's ratings is a below average tackle at this point in his career, I can't help but feel like we were cheated. I think i'll pass & I bet Beane will too.
  6. 1st point, this idea that Ralph Wilson was cheap is kinda unfair. Perhaps back in the early days he was, but by the late 80's he spent a ton for those hall of fame rosters, where the Bills were among the most expensive teams in the NFL & could be argued were part of the reason behind the creation of the salary cap in the 1st place. Not to mention the whole reason we have the AFC with him dishing out $400,000 to the Raiders back in 1961 (which wouldve been worth $3.3mil back then) & loaning money to Billy Sullivan of the Patriots. This narrative thats stuck with Ralph til his end just never told the whole story imo. Even with his generous gift from his estate we still say it & I just don't think thats fair. And perhaps this is just semantics, but I don't think the state of our team has changed that much. Sure for us fans our hopes are up & we filled a bunch of holes, but until we put it all together on the field & put up some wins, nothing has really changed per se. We could lose the 1st 2 games of the year, heck even just the preseason & this whole board would be creating posts about "the same old Bills" & the sorry state of our franchise. So yeah I'm excited about next season. On paper we've drastically improved our offense & depth, but I've been excited pretty much every offseason as we look for the new year to begin. Until we are what we hope we are & we beat New England & contend for the playoffs, the state of our franchise is the same. In our eyes it may be brighter but those twitter posts we saw during the AB debacle, those could be made tomorrow just the same.
  7. k thanks. I think its kinda funny how in 2019 we don't have video streams that can play on multiple browers lol.
  8. i have the video open on IE like everyone else but currently its still a black screen Is anything playing for anyone else, or are we all waiting for it to start? thanks!
  9. that IG post seems to have been taken down. I went to his page even & his profile is now private. Can anyone share what it said or is it really no big deal?
  10. The NFL Network was talking about the Bills moves all day long, with Mike Garafalo saying that the Bills really impressed him with how aggressive we were, all the way up to the big OBJ trade. All other NFL talk pretty much stopped once that deal was made, because it was a BIG deal. Idk why we gotta view it as a slight to our team just because at the end of the day there was a huge trade that dominated league wide coverage involving one of the biggest names in the NFL. I know we care about all things Bills, but when a big trade comes thru with a player of OBJ's caliber, it kinda makes sense for the channel to focus in on its ramifications lol
  11. At 1st i thought you were being sarcastic with this statement but then i saw the rest of your posts. But Robert Foster was a bonus last year. Do you really think we'd pass up on 1 of the best wr's in the NFL just for the sake of prioritizing Foster's development? Thats crazyy isnt it?
  12. Whats with the link to Finlands government & their healthcare reform? Get your links mixed up? lol
  13. yep, i saw u mention him in that thread yesterday. Props to u for bringing him up as a guy we could target, where nobody else thought he'd be an option. From what I've seen of him he looks like a diamond in the rough. 6'8" of rough
  14. Well u can cross Barr off your list, looks like the Jests just picked him up. I'm not sure if he wouldve been a good fit for us anyways, but I'd be happy to have the other players you listed however.
  15. From his bio it states he gets overpowered a lot on the line & isn't really the type to adjust to a poorly thrown ball. I just wonder how that factors into our team & with Allen, given how his accuracy isnt currently the best & needs better pass protection. Doesn't seem like a great fit if thats true imo. But suppose time will tell
  16. I'm not a big fan of paying considerable money to a player who has only had 1 decent year. A year followed by a bad year at that. I mean we can all say "hey, at least we did something", but like other moves we've made in the past, we're paying good money for players who havent necessarily 'proved it' in the NFL. Hopefully we're still looking to improve the TE position because even with this signing, we're still in the same spot as we were before imo. Yeah we have another body but cmon, can't we do better?
  17. If we were giving Gore an Ivory sized contract i'd be pissed, but 1 year at $2 million is great. Although I understand everyones consternation regarding the move, given how we're all waiting for some more impactful signings
  18. I know the Bills are supposedly interested in Saffold & Williams among others. So if that's the case & Beane is very interested in bringing those guys in, wouldn't it make sense that we take a pass on Osemele, given his $10 mil per year price tag? If we sign those 2 guys or perhaps Morse or Paradis, then not going after Osemele makes total sense imo. At the moment we're viewing this Jets signing in a vacuum of sorts. But if Beane makes those other pickups then the perspective on this totally changes. Here's to hoping he brings in a couple of those guys, otherwise our line this season, like a vacuum will suck
  19. The only rule change that I can get behind that involves the 4th down scenario is one where you remove the onside kick & give the team an opportunity to retain possession with a 4th & 15 from their own 35. That rule change makes sense imo. This change posited here not so much, but I appreciate the intent. And I for one don't mind the punt / punt return part of the game. For me the bigger problems are Onside Kicks & Kickoffs in general. The league has neutered both with the intent to protect the players where now both just aren't an interesting part of the game anymore. With onside kicks there's practically no chance of recovering the ball & with kickoffs all you really get are extra TV commercials out of it, as the refs setup the ball before the kick & after. Those 2 areas alone all chip away at what made the NFL exciting to watch imo. But I don't want to steer this thread away from the OP so I'll digress & apologize if I have
  20. Rapoport is the one breaking it on twitter... so theres still a chance its not the Raiders lol
  21. Raiders were the one team that made the most sense. Idk how the rest of the locker room there will feel about it though. Ownership willing to pay all this money to AB but werent willing to pay for players who were part of the team for years, with Mack & Cooper? I'll admit that when i heard AB was coming here i got all excited, but now that it didnt happen I think it's for the best. He'll probably have a good season this year but he could easily check out on the team as well.
