  1. 1st off, thanks for taking the time to write what you did, as it gets exhausting I know. But it's sad but true when I say that you're never gonna change that segment of the population who 'believes' that bs is true. Propaganda is a powerful tool & the message has been hammered into them over & over again. Not to veer too far from this subject, but 70% of Americans believed Saddam Hussein was behind 9-11. 2 years after that horrible day. That doesn't happen by accident, nor would those who believed that, ever admit to being duped by their sources. Most likely for the fear of feeling wrong or just plain ignorance. But whats happened with Kap is ironic on all sorts of levels, for various reasons. But one thing that comes to mind is how you always hear people say that these athletes only care about the money. Well here's a guy who has given up all that money for taking a stand on what he feels is an injustice in our society & he gets bashed non stop for being this or being that. Kap has never said he hates America, he never stuck his middle finger out & said: 'screw you flag'. He's repeatedly stated what his protest was about, but all you hear from these people is what the pundits say it is, & not what the guy doing it has told you it was about. Perhaps people are listening to the wrong people lol. But on the issue of CK playing in the NFL. Nobody in their right mind can say that Kaepernick isn't a better QB than the Nathan Peterman's of this league. The people that say CK would be a career backup, are either deluded or missing the point. But ok then, Frank Reich was a career backup. Nick Foles is a career backup, dude won a SB last year. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a career backup. Dude threw for over 400 yards & 4 TD's Sunday. Career backups don't always stay as backups & they're vital to a teams success. And CK is 100% more talented than Peterman & a lot of other QB's out there. Proof he belongs in the NFL with his career statline:
  2. And if Murphy gets hurt, then what? Our offense has a big lack of talent. Unless we can get a player that can help on that side of the ball, I dont see how removing more talent on offense can help Allen period. Now if The Bills lose every game up til the trade deadline, i can see & even support trading away some of these guys for futures. But until that happens, at week 2 in the season its way too early for that talk imo.
  3. Allen is gonna need all the help he can get out there. Getting rid of one of those players in McCoy, is just gonna make Allens year even harder. I get the long term implications of keeping McCoy vs trading him, but Allen needs someone out there & McCoy is one of those few guys that we have. Theyre not gonna trade him.
  4. Plus with Allen having to start, on an offense that isnt really ready for him, given the inferior talent all around him. It doesnt make much sense to trade 1 of the few players that can help him out there. We're not gonna get any quick fixes to this guys. If that 1st game is any indication, it could be a long season. But we all knew the 1st half of the year would be tough. Just not that tough haha
  5. No way in hell would i want to see McCoy gashing our defense on the Patriots. Plus he was named a team captain for a reason. You just dont trade a team captain to your biggest rival. And no way would the Patriots pay that salary. Just a bit pile of NO imo
  6. Yep I agree, we're not 1 player away from being a competitive team consistently. We're not even a few players away. The price for Mack in a trade with Oakland would've cost too much. Thats why i said i wish we wouldve drafted him, because that is the only scenario where I could've seen him on our team. But like i said hindsight is 20/20. That same line of thought makes me wish we had a better team around Allen to be our starter. Because he HAS to be the starter now, but this team is no where ready for the guy. Our offense isnt 1 player away either. We need help everywhere. The time table McBeane had is now all up in the air. And while Allen will learn, he will get a hard knocks education on what its like playing on a team with inferior talent. Suppose thats the quickest way to learn, as long as he survives it haha.
  7. It sure wouldve helped having him on the field vs The Ravens. But it wouldve been even better if we drafted him instead of Watkins. Hindsight is 20/20 & all that jazz. Good for him, i wish him the best but as long as it isnt versus us.
  8. Its pretty easy. They make it easy to use so that even a cave man can do it. I'd set it up now just so you're good to go well in advance of the game
  9. Outta curiosity, you seem to have a lot of interest on this subject, Youre not Jerry Sullivan are you? I can't imagine just anyone would be as interested in this topic, are you Jerry or know him in real life? Not trying to be sarcastic haha On a side note, its a shame that print media is dying. Papers everywhere are cutting back drastically to their staffs.. if theyre even able to stay alive at all. Gleason & Sully are a casualty of the times. I'm sure Sully realizes it was a big part of the changes at the end there. But they had a good run.
  10. Well thats your opinion & ur entitled to that. But i dont care enough about him to be salty. But case in point, Sullys column was him voicing his opinions... Well sometimes people just don't like your opinion. Many didnt like his either. Its probably a big reason why the BN pulled his column from him. There were some articles I liked from him, but too many were just a lazy narrative written buy a guy who seemed to care more about being seen as the smartest observer of our sports teams, than simply telling a story & educating his readers. Dude comes across as a narcissist.
  11. I dont misunderstand what a columnist is, i even said "if its someones opinion, I want it to be one that not only challenges me & educates me, but one that doesn't come across as a douche." He came across as one at the end of his work here & he probably hasn't changed. Thats my opinion, also one that seems to be shared by a lot of people.
  12. Seems like he takes zero responsibility for why readers turned on him & for why he had his column taken away. Its everyones fault but his. But when i read sports pages, or any news in particular, I want to read facts & what the story is. And if its someones opinion I want it to be one that not only challenges me & educates me, but one that doesn't come across as a douche. For the last 5-10 years of Sully's writing, more often than not I asked myself why do I read this guys work. I wish him the best as I dont wish no ill will on anyone, but I wont miss his column, thats for sure.
  13. I hear ya. We could all use to be as lucky as you. With my upvote on ur post, you now have 2 likes. How's that for a pointless thread?
  14. It's gotten to that point where its getting harder to tell if people are joking or serious. I just can't tell anymore. The 1st part is right, but Gillislee having potential to be great? Yeah I just don't see it
  15. And if we don't want neither? Do we just ignore the poll? If we have to choose one of them i guess Milano? Just because we could use more depth at LB. But tbh i wouldn't want either of them.
  16. I'll watch it in a sec but you do remember Peterman's 1st game vs the Chargers last year right? Or should i link that one too? It was pretty bad, Regular season game too
  17. When he made the comment he was replying to a post where the guy joked we should bring in Aaron Rodgers as our 3rd QB. For reference: We would never allow a guy making $30 million to be the #3...that’s ridiculous! ?
  18. Well some of us wanted us to draft Chad, some even just for his connection to Jim. If we brought in Chad for a workout i think people would be getting the popcorn ready lol
  19. Well in fairness the last 7th rounder to beat him was the nephew of Bills HOF Great, Jim Kelly. Idk if you've heard of him but I read that he was pretty good in his day lol. I do wish we would've drafted Chad ourselves, but I can understand why they mightve been hesitant to do so. But yeah, i could care less if he signs here, but I do like we're at least looking to continuously improve our roster, no matter if it happens or not.
  20. Yep, i think thats how it goes... but now we really only have one. So maybe we can finally say SuperBowl?
  21. Some of these posts just go to show the duplicit nature that comes with being a fan. Getting pissed at our staff for doing their due diligence on a 6'7 246lb athlete, drafted in the 1st round. Yet if they didn't at least take a look at him, fans in turn would be pissed we didn't bring him in for a look. I'd rather our staff took as many opportunities as they could, to find players for this team, as opposed to the opposite of not taking those chances at all. If you had to throw a bullseye on a dart board, would you want only 1 dart or would you want as many darts as possible? I don't see anything wrong at all with bringing Lynch in here for a look. It doesnt mean they plan on trading Allen & making PL the opening day starter. Theyre just bringing him in for a look, that's it. I don't get why people get so worked up over these things.
  22. And just like that, 3 more threads today about our punter. On top of the couple threads yesterday. I'm glad you guys didn't let me down! How many more can we expect tomorrow? Over/under is set at 2
