  1. I don't think Jackson would be a reach at all. I think Rudolph would. I'd prefer Mike White or Luke Falk over Rudolph, and none of them in the 1st.
  2. WOW. This would be amazing. Did you use Fanspeak? I find them to be fun, but how on earth does Vea land at 22? I'd perfer Mike White over Rudolph, but taking Rudolph in the 2nd seems correct. Price in the 3rd is completely insane, but hey, take it if its there. I think that's where we take a center who can play guard and end up with Ragnow or Bozeman. Kiser is a guy I like, would be great depth in the 5th. Know nothing about OT Harrison. that's a good point. I would keep that pick, and grab another LB/pass rusher with Vea (in this guys scenario where Vea makes it to us). Then grab a RB like Freeman.
  3. hopefully no Drew Brees. Brees always wanted to win for the Bills!!!
  4. Wouldn't mind him in the 2nd round at all. I think he's a better prospect than Rudolph, IMO. My ideal draft/QB scenario: 1. Veteran (Cousins, Bradford, Keenum). 2. Draft DL/pass rusher at 21, 22. Instantly have a top D with a pass rush and our secondary. 3. Draft QB in second, trading up if necessary to grab Luke Falk, Mike White, etc. Jump to top of second if L. Jackson is somehow still there.
  5. I agree. QB (and even pass rush) should be addressed prior to OL. If we address the QB and pass rush, we have a more potent offense and a top 5 defense. Imagine a pass rush + our secondary. Scary. That's why I think a lower ranked center (and we have Groy, so we don't have the "emergency" some national pundits think) such as Ragnow, Clapp, Queesnburry (esp. if we get Rosen), Clapp, and Bozeman will be the pick.
  6. He stays here. A rookie QB needs a few things. Good OL, good TE, and good RB. We have 2 of the 3 (OL question mark). I think we add another RB. We need more depth there. I get the cap hit of Shady and the age, but he is still productive.
  7. I really hope the Jets do something stupid and pick up Landry. I could see the Browns trading for him because they have 1000 draft picks, and having a solid slot guy is nice, since they have Coleman and Gordon on the outside. you can draft a slot receiver who by year 2 could match Landry's production. He was the #1 WR in Miami, and they used a quick strike passing game, IMO. That's why his numbers are inflated. I think Cupp is a better slot WR, and so is JuJu Smith (who can also play outside). Heck, once Zay is healthy he'll be a better slot guy.
  8. I think either Walton or Royce Freeman. I think this draft has some RB depth to it, (like most years), so I see it being a later pick with a FA brought in. Hopefully bringing back Cadet. He was balling before his injury.
  9. I like the pushing the sled with sensor's idea. The bench is a bad barometer of how a guy will actually block. The sled could be modified for WR's and RB's for stiffarm. He can also play guard, which provides depth at two positions. I'm more partial to the guy from Iowa solely based on the fact that I've read he can get to the second level quicker. But Price would be nice. Also, Bozeman (sp) from Alabama is intriguing. That wouldn't surprise me either as a pick in the later rounds.
  10. Bucky Brooks makes an interesting argument that NO OG should ever be a top 5 pick. Basically, an OG does not impact the pass game in the manner that an OT does. He also highlights some questions in Nelson's play. Worth a read as most of the stuff is all about Nelson. Who I'd like, if he somehow impossibly fell to us. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000918425/article/nfl-draft-trend-emerging-with-receivers-blake-bortles-contract?campaign=tw-nf-sf183392626-sf183392626&sf183392626=1&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
  11. I totally agree. If our top guy is gone by our pick, and we get a call, trade and pickup another second and 3rd. We still have the OTHER 1st round pick, so heck, even if our guy is there, there could be a drop off in our draft board between 21 and 22. I'd def consider this.
  12. please. we all know what's going to happen: he ends up with the Pats***. j/k....I think he ends up with the Bills.
  13. I agree. I have Rosen, Mayfield, then Jackson. We get one of those three I'm pumped. I'd also trade TT and try to get one of the vet rentals out there (Keenum or Bradford) na, he wants to fall to the Bills. Think optimistically.
  14. 1. Josh Rosen 2. Baker Mayfield 3. Lamar Jackson 4. Sam Darnold 5. Luke Falk
  15. I actually think this idea has some merit. It totally depends on them striking out in FA, but if they want a 1 year bridge QB TT could be ideal. Inexpensive, only 1 year left on contract. And he'd have some weapons with Gordon. But, if your Cleveland, do you pass up on Barkely (if he's there?). Likely not. So I think Barkely (RB-PSU) has to be off the board for this to happen. I hear ya, but is Barkley THAT much better than the RB you could get at 21? I don't know. If I really love a QB, I take him 1, and consider the Bills offer. Or, another thing could happen and somehow Barkely is still there at 4, then I take him. This is why the draft and pre-draft conversations are so much damn fun!!!
  16. ha. watch it turn off other organizations, except the Browns. Who trade down to like 2, get another 1st, and draft him anyway. That's a good point. But, IMO, Andrew Luck (and to some extent Matt Ryan) are exceptions I think. Darnold, IMO, has more questions than those two coming into the draft. .
  17. my issue as a GM would be, if he needs to control the environment that much, no way he can make it in the NFL. You don't control the defense. I want to see the guys in all situations. And Darnold looked awful and turnover prone at times last season. I think this kills his stock. Rosen, and (perhaps, Mayfield will pass him on the charts.
  18. I'd like to see Cadet back, along with Lewis (great backup for Shady as skillset is the same), and a RB taken later in the draft. (Miami RB could be a good steal). what happened to the big bama back last year. he kind of disappeared. not sure if he was injured or what?
  19. would like to see Johnson back, and a draft pick in the 2nd or so for depth.
  20. if the Bills don' move up, it's because they (a) feel the price is too high for a QB class where there is no sure day 1 starter; and (2) feel that there is a QB they like at 21 (L. Jackson, L. Falk in Rd. 2; Rudolph, etc.)
  21. I LOVE this dude's attitude. He loves the game of football more than most that play it. I really hope he comes back and dominates. Would be one of the most uplifting sports stories in quite a while, IMO. I don't think anyone knows that he is more at risk of paralysis by coming back than a regular player is. But I'm no doctor, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night either. Agreed. You don't set high goals for yourself, esp. as an athlete, you will never achieve even "average" goals.
  22. Thanks. More info like this is always appreciated. Glad to see that L. Jackson is a comparable passer, and that's with his "bad footwork" which can be improved.
  23. same here. if we can't get a top 4 or 5 QB, take 2 D guys. Imagine how good our secondary and overall D would be with a viable front 7. I think we are talking top D in the league. That said, we then need a good FA QB, and Luke Falk in Rd. 2 or 3. Also for consideration, take 2 top D guys in Rd. 1, and snag L. Jackson by moving up in the 2nd if he falls, or whomever is the "next" QB on the Bills list. I def. think they are being lazy. I think Price will be a beast in the NFL, but we have Groy, so no need to go C/G in 1st. Take the guy from Iowa, or Alabama later in the draft.
  24. STOP IT. we want him at 21! But i agree with you. He will confirm to teams that he is a "dancing bear" on the D-line. I think you are spot on. And I think Allen's arm talent will cause him to be picked higher than he should.
