  1. I liked the play call. Still lots of time on the clock, and it was a chance to catch the D off guard. Although I would have run it under center and not the shotgun and had the QB sneak. Maximize the benefit of an "off-guard" D. At any rate, Rodgers had a bad game by Rodgers standards. And the Minn D is the real-deal. The rematch should be a great game.
  2. Regardless of whether Garappolo plays or not, loosing to a teams 2nd string QB when you are a "defensive genius" to start the season 0-4 should lead to you getting canned. Hopefully after the season so we can grab a great coordinator from the Pats or Steelers.
  3. DC Patricia from the Pats would be my choice. Also, Tomlin was a "green" secondary coach when he took over the Steelers.
  4. You may be correct. I'm coming up for the game, so I hope it's close. I just see no reason to think we can defend against the Cards offense if we can't stop the Jets. And the Cards D may be the best in the NFL. Yikes!! Will be interesting to see what the new OC has in store (if anything)
  5. I'd take Kelly also. Kelly (#12) was cocky, Big Ben is a total d-bag and cocky, Marino was likely cocky, Cutler is, a ton of QB's are.
  6. OC's outsmart themselves. Why Roman is not here. Cower could get some great OC and DC's? great questions. I have no answers for you. I like Patricia from the Pats, or any number of other OC's. Even McDaniels (and steal Garappolo while we are at it).
  7. good point. Patricia is also a rocket scientist (aerospace major) !! can he bring Garappalo with him?
  8. 400 yards. What, are Palmar, Fitz and Johnson not playing the second half?
  9. Assuming that Rex Ryan is gone, here is a list of potential HC's I can think of. Feel free to add others. They are in no particular order. Although my top two likely would be Patricia and Bevell. (1) Keith Butler: Steelers DC: The Steelers D has continued to be fantastic despite mediocre players in the secondary and up-front. (2) Matt Patricia: Pats** DC. The Pats D funnels players in and out, doesn't matter, the D always seems to come up big when needed. Seems like a guy who puts his players in a position to win. He also has experience on the offensive side of the ball at the college level (OL player at RPI); O-line coach at SU and with the Pats**. (3) Darrell Bevell: Seattle OC. Interviewed with Bills before they hired Rex. Great OC. (4) Jim Schwartz: Philly DC. Outstanding D coach. Would need great OC.
  10. there has to be a QB worth tanking for? Not sure there is, but we have to draft one in every draft until we find one. Hit the other positions at later rounds. Also, stockpile picks. See if someone wants McCoy, Watkins, Gilmore for a decent return.
  11. at what point do they play EJ to see if he has anything left if TT continues to look like JP? At what point does Jones come in? So sick of seeing 3 and out.
  12. Williams not being in the game is mind-blowing. And what's with telegraphing the plays. Roman calls plays and you know exactly what's going to happen. No creativity. Need a whole new coaching staff.
  13. I like the idea of a fire-sale for draft picks. Trade Sammy to a team that could actually use him, etc. Trade McCoy. Total personnel rebuild. Trade Gilmore the next time he has a good game. No point having a CB who can't tackle I posed the question because WalterFootball has him as the top pick. Has Kelly in Round 2. (no way he goes out of the first round, IMO). https://walterfootball.com/draft2017QB.php https://walterfootball.com/draft2017.php
  14. yeah, I would say this is the major problem. People can get on Shady all they want, but when he has something to run through he hits it. His 24 yard run last night was great. And I believe another 30+ RB had a great week last week, oh, D. Williams for the Steelers. Then again, the Steelers have a great O-line and QB. We have neither.
  15. Should the Bills "suck for" Notre Dame QB De Shone Kizer? I have not seen him play, but have read great things about him. Any Notre Dame fans on here have insightful comments?
  16. wait, someone broke into your car and gave you additional tickets to the Bills. That if freaking hilarious. Someone must hate you
  17. as I mentioned to someone while watching the game, at least we are not LA Rams fans. if Russ can still sell tickets after Rex wins about 3 games this year, Russ should be promoted to something. I mean, that will be a HUGE feat. No way Rex bro's survive the season.
  18. fire him during the season along with his brother. Let Roman be the HC/OC, and Thurman as DC. See if either of them have anything. If not, take a look at Todd Haley from Pittsburgh, or Keith Butler, PGH DC. Unlike Rex, Butler does not have top-shelve talent in his secondary but can still shut teams down.
  19. well, the suspension can't hurt us. Get Seymour some playing time.
  20. exactly. It's like TT thinks Clay is on the other team. He was open numerous times last night.
  21. I benched him in fantasy for Dorsett. This means that Sammy will put up 150 yards and 1 TD.
