  1. Rex should 100% be fired and take his do-nothing twin Rob with him. That defense today was terrible. Yes, Bell is good. But where was the 7-8 man box to make them throw. Ben was wearing gloves and his timing was off when he did throw. TT missed wide open receivers all game by not seeing them or throwing it. Lynn should be the HC. Tell TT to throw the fn ball and not worry about INT's. My guess is TT could light it up (unless he really can't read the field, which is awful for a guy in his 6th year in the NFL). You play safe, you get to watch the playoffs from the safety of your couch. 100% true. He had the team motivated every week and ready to go. Developed their offense which has led to offensive recruiting opening up at PSU.
  2. This is the Bills. We all know what will happen: We win out. TT looks "decent," but not "great." We miss the playoffs. TT is back next year. We go into the season with TT and Jones, EJ leaves in FA. TT plays "decent" again next year, and we miss the playoffs again. Then we draft a QB in 2018. BALH!!!! I agree that the team is constructed so that TT does not need to lose the games. However, in the NFL to be very successful you need a QB to be able to "win" games. Early in Big Ben's time with the Steelers they did not ask him to win games, because they had Bettis and a nasty D. Ben threw about 15-20 times a game. I remember people in Pittsburgh calling him a game manager. However, when he needed to step up and win games, he did. TT has not shown any ability to step up and win games, or make the necessary passes to be a complete QB.
  3. 2nd or 3rd. I'd be suspicious of the Pats. I'd also consider trading for Mike Glennon. He may only cost a 3rd or 4th. The best approach, IMO, is not to trade for any QB, but to pickup someone who may be cut like Cutler, Bradford, etc. And pare them with C. Jones and a rookie (perhaps Rudolph, from OK State--thinking first 3 rounds are non QB picks this year).
  4. everyone should have it with Rex and this QB play. They are both terrible. The one thing Rex did right was promote Lynn to OC. Beyond that, nada.
  5. F. Marcell had better step up, or L. Bell will be running wild.
  6. 7 games may be enough to break the playoff curse. then a backup comes in and rips off a few wins. Also, would be great fora new QB to learn from Romo instead of the current QB's we have.
  7. This is the quote that makes me mad, "There was definitely a collective effort that wasn’t good enough. There’s no finger pointing." He is critizing the WR's. Did Sammy Watkins totally miss himself on what should have been a TD throw? Did Watkins and Goodwin not throw the ball to themselves when they were wide-open. Man up. You want to play QB, take the blame when you totally blow it.
  8. Dealing with the media is part of his job. He is the teams QB. He makes money because people watch games, and want to hear from the players. I 100% blame him for his juvenile antics during the ten minute press conference. http://buffalonews.com/2016/12/07/frustration-boils-tyrod-taylor-testy-10-minute-press-conference/
  9. stop pestering us with facts. But I agree. And I think we have a decent shot of beating the Steelers. That said, I can see us winning out, but TT is still not the answer at QB unless he shows marked improvement in reading the field, hitting open receivers and hitting receivers who are covered. I hope there are lots of Bills fans there, but I can see the Stadium being at least 50% Steelers fans. Much cheaper to go to a Steelers game in Buffalo (with a short drive) than a Steelers game in Pgh. Big Ben's TD throwing differential is much different away from Heinz field. It's odd, but he has a big differential. Only issue with this game is it may be an "away" game due to mostly Steeler fans in the crowd.
  10. this is a game I can actually see the Bills winning. Steelers run D is not great, and Big Ben's numbers away from home are more like those of an average QB. Bills win by 3.
  11. Depends on how the team plays. If the Steelers come in (with their suspect D) and Ben has a terrible game, and we run to win (like we were in Oakland), it's not that impressive given the need for a QB. It also depends on whether the Steelers and/or Miami go on to make the Playoffs. Having a bunch of wins over non-playoff teams is not much progress, IMO.
  12. would free up an earlier pick that we would need to use on OT. Not a terrible idea.
  13. I'd take a Cutler or Bradford. Really, at this point, we need to try any option. Of course draft them, and let the training camp battles happen. This is how Seattle ended up with Wilson; and Raiders with Carr. McCarron could be a good vet pickup.
  14. Anthony Lynn (look what he has done with the terrible QB he has, putting up 20+ points a game is impressive); Josh McDainels; Matt Patricia; Gary Patterson; James Franklin; Kevin Sumlin (won with Manzel); Mark Dantonio; David Shaw.
  15. unfortunately no QB's where we will be drafting worth it. Hopefully J. Peppers falls to us in the 1st.
  16. They will beat the Steelers, and lose to the Browns. That's the Bills style.
  17. no one is giving the D a pass. But going 3 and out continually kills any D. And yes, the D was awful. But that is not a defense of TT.
  18. Time to bench TT. I think one of our RB's could do the same job he is doing. Which is running the ball, making bad throws (when they are even made)
