  1. In fairness, he was the HC for the Lions. I can see him in SF with a good OC. Kelly not getting run-out, just getting a HUGE offer from LSU would be my guess. Another question: where is Reich's next spot?!
  2. I'm with you on this 100%. Show the defense you trust them after they stopped AZ a couple of times, and show the O-line or TT/WR you trust them by going for it. Didn't backfire, but the results of this poll would be totally different had the Bills lost by 3-4. Agree with this also. Dodged one yesterday. Can't do this. Coaches like Tomlin and McCarthy would have gone for it there. Coaches like Jauroun don't.
  3. Can't wait to see the D-line when Marcell is back. And these backups, Corbin Bryant, Douzabel (sp), etc. played extremely well also yesterday.
  4. Pehaps someone here can expalin this to me. I generally get to 1-2 games a year (live out of town, two young kids). Yesterday I was sitting in row 5, section 135. I noticed that rows 1 and 2 were totally covered with tarps. Why is this? Seems the Bills are leaving money on the table doing this.
  5. I like the standing during D, stilling during Offense (unless a 3rd down or big play happening). But too many people want to sit the entire game. They should stay home. You need to stand for the D and make noise. You go to the game to be part of the game. I had some people yelling at each other around me in 135 over whether they should be sitting or standing. I'm generally in the pro-stand crowd.
  6. Drove 3 hours to and from the game with my Dad, who introduced me to Bills football in the late 80's when I was a very young kid. Expected nothing, got everything, including seeing the afterburner of the Air Force jets during the flyover. Totally awesome game. And, I had Johnson as my RB in fantasy, while the guy I played had Carson Palmer. He will still beat me though . I also started the AZ D. But didn't care at all as they were getting driven all over the field by Shady!!! Also, our punter was awful. Perhaps a good sign. Usually we have a great punter and terrible team. I'll take the inverse.
  7. yeah, the AFC North is no joke!! We can't cover Decker and Marshall with Fitz throwing it. Going to be something when Ben, AB, L. Bell, etc. roll in here if the D is not fixed fast.
  8. Coughlin can help find the next Tomlin. He likely has great knowledge of most assistants in the NFL and could assemble a staff.
  9. who stepped on his foot? Rob and Rex at the same time while jumping up and down? Were they wearing metal cleats during the walk-through? Why are our players stepping on each-other? This sounds like Rex trying to make excuses for what he sees as an impending blowout.
  10. same. But I'll take some of the enemies coordinators. They missed the playoffs with Cassel, but did win 10 games.
  11. Patricia, MCDaniels, perhaps Reich (esp. if Wentz continues to do well).
  12. I think Lynn def becomes interm HC. Although I'd like Patrica from the Pats or even McDaniels.
  13. ditto. He's also a RPI and SU guy. He may have some interest in the job. interestingly anyone think the Pats*** success w/o Brady makes Brady look even more like a system QB?
  14. is this just making excuses for another poor defensive performance?
  15. is still true. Execution wins games. Skilled players with precision execution wins lots of games. Smart-skilled players with precision execution wins championships. It is difficult to have precision when there are a ton of different plays. Jack of all plays, master of none, IMO.
  16. Very true, although I give the posters on this board more credit about knowing about football than you . Schwart's D's are generally regarded as "simpler." I think an announcer commented on it during MNF stating that players love it because it allows them to use their skills to actually play. You still need smart players who understand how to employ their skills in a "simple" system.
  17. agreed. And isn't Reich the OC in Philly?
  18. Totally agree with this assessment. I would not pick up TT. I would pick up Watkins, and get an actual No.2 WR to pair with him. You can even draft one (Will Fuller type). Or, I don't know, throw to Charles Clay.
  19. I'm not wed to the idea of Kelly. Just don't know who else to watch. The kid from L-Ville looks great, but is only a sophomore. I've watched some of Watson. Not overly impressed with his throwing. Haven't seen much of Kizer or Kaaya but plan to. Also would like to see more of Watson, he seems to have played better last year, but again, I don't get to watch too much CFB with little kids at home. I'd take any of these guys. Just pair them with a vet like Bradford and/or even Teddy.
  20. I've returned from the future. My fav Bills memory is 2-5 years from now when the Bills win the Super Bowl!! I won't tell you all what year so you have to keep watching
  21. It is clear we need a "franchise" QB, or at least not a "backup" playing starter. Here is my suggestion: 1. Get Bradford on a 2-3 year deal. He showed last night that he is a baller when healthy, and Diggs has a similar game to Watkins. He has a 17 million cap-hit next year. If Teddy is healthy I see the Vikings cutting him. 2. Draft Kelly. He can learn behind Bradford for a few years. 3. Keep Jones as the 3rd string QB. Cut TT and Manuel. (well, try to trade them, but that may not work. Unless Chip Kelly thinks TT is his answer).
  22. Watching Diggs tear it up for Minny last night made me think of what a real QB and OC could do for Watkins. Perhaps we can: (1) get Bradford; (2) draft Kelly. Keep Jones as the third QB.
