  1. Good question. I guess it depends on who the #4 QB is, and where he is ranked on the Bills board. For the Bills, the "4th best" could be the guy they have at #1.
  2. interesting point. The concussions are concerning, however.
  3. always wondered how JuJu or any WR would have done on this team with the lack of talent at QB. JuJu is great, but he could have looked pedestrian for us last year. Man, I like Zay. This is just totally nutso. We may have to keep our picks and draft a few WR's. Chark, St. Browne, the guy from Indiana.
  4. clearing cap room is my guess. he's effective, but likely can find a replacement in the draft. I'd take him if he were cheap.
  5. what if the FO thinks a guy is our guy and will be there at 12. I'm thinking this could be the case.
  6. I think we address this during the draft. Hopefully Chark at WR, and a younger version of Shady. LB's also.
  7. yeah. that is bizarre to me. Jeremiah must think that Allen has "Cam Newton" skills or whatever the current narrative is. Watson won a freaking National Championship, and was a main reason Clemson won. But if based on initial draft grade, it shows how those can be skewed. interesting...
  8. this mock draft is like click-bait. It's terrible. The Giants taking a guard over Barkley (there are other top guards available in the 2nd round. Only one talent like Barkely). And I'm sick of the lazy, "Allen has a big arm. He'll be great in Buffalo." What on earth does that mean. Or the Brooks lazy "some Cam like Newton athletic abilities" (which are never explained, because the relation is tenuous at best.). Allen looks more like Jake Locker, IMO. Evans is nice, but the draft is totally ruined by taking Allen over Mayfield.
  9. yeah, for sure. I will be texting my Jets friends and just laughing that they traded all those picks for Allen to learn for one year. Would be the best scenario. Hardly the same thing the team has done for 20 years. You can't force one of these teams to make a trade that works. And 12 is a good spot. The QB they want could very well be there (Jackson, Mayfield).
  10. I'd be game for that. Get Mayfield or Rosen. I hope you are correct the Jets taking Allen. Perhaps their plan w/ giving McKnown $10 mill is that he teaches Allen and Bridgewater.
  11. Not really. We have a ton of holes in the roster. We got KEY contributors last draft (White, Dawkins, Milano); and even if we stay at 12, we could get a QB the FO feels is on-par with one of the guys picked in the top 10. If they feel someone like Falk, White, or Roudolph is the best, they may even go LB, DL, or something in the 1st and grab one of those in the 2nd.
  12. So true. That will provide instant comedic value. Then we draft a QB at 12 who is better than whomever the Jets draft. Even better!
  13. They also talk about "availability." Rosen is one concussion away from perhaps not playing. That is what worries me. My two favs. are Mayfield and Rosen, in that order. If we take Allen, blah.
  14. I think Bean said no more "big" FA signings. This is a pure depth signing. We are likely drafting an OT at some point, as well as seeing how Conor McDermitt plays.
  15. hopefully Baker falls to #12!!
  16. not a terrible option. It's possible that Mayfield falls to 12, which would be fantastic, IMO. Allen needs to sit behind a vet. I see the Steelers, Saints, etc. taking him .
  17. (1) whose mock draft is this? (2) was it made after drinking too much Irish Ale yesterday? (3) Take Rosen, then get Landry (BC) if you want pass rush, or get Evans, McGinchey, or Vea. All top guys at position of need. (4) If the FO is keyed in on Rudolph (which was the rumor before the trade-up), I don't like it, but I'd trade back from 12 and get another 1st rounder, get Rudolph and the guys mentioned in #3. I agree. It's like saying to Eli we aren't trying to win, we basically want you to groom a backup QB. Even if Barkley is gone, they need OG, DL, etc. I see them trading back to get more picks. They can still be in "win-now" mode. I think one or both are there at 12. Likely Allen is there. In that case, I try to trade down if Rosen or Darnold are also gone (likely). Or, take Davenport and L. Jackson at 22.
  18. I jsut remember most of us thought "who is this Poyer guy at Safety." So I trust the Bills FO and their NFL scouts. A lot more hits than misses. And this is a low cost depth option.
  19. I can see us not trading up and taking a QB at 12. Although getting in front of Denver for Mayfield would be nice. I can hope the Jets take Allen instead of Rosen or Mayfield. But I think they are taking Rosen.
  20. I think "overpay" in terms of how much a player is costing against the cap. I don't think anyone is like (at least not me when I use "overpay") WOW, that guy is making X mill a year. Go pay a Dr. or lawyer that instead"
  21. Hey everyone: Poz just retired. Let's get him out of retirement !
  22. good question. I'm guessing FA and mid-round draft pick? Who, no clue.
  23. It's Cincy. I'm thinking like 7 per
  24. Here are some FA ILB's. Yeah, I would have liked Williamson also, and not happy a division rival got him! http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2018ILB.php Bowman would be great, likely out of price range. D. Johnson would be interesting--not sure how much is left in the tank, but likely cut due to salary by KC. Hodges and Bostic seem like guys that could play better in a different situation.
  25. Would have liked to keep him, but likely Cincy doing Cincy things, likely way overpaying. I think we replace him in the draft.
