exactly. This is a very stupid rule. If they hid him from the report the week leading to a game and then suddenly he is out, that's different. But this is total nonsense.
I'm beginning to agree with a prior poster that our OC may still be in the playoffs. Why hire a RB coach, etc. w/o an OC, unless the OC is approving the hires, albeit "under the table."
That said, who is in the playoffs that would be our OC?
Get Romo or Rivers. Sit him behind one for the first year or two. Trade #10 for Romo or Rivers. Hope he falls to us in Rd. 2. (if only life were as simple as typing that!).
no reason we can't grab him and keep TT. Esp. if we don't land another QB in a trade.
I HATE IT when DB's defend a receiver and fail to turn around at the ball, drawing a PI penalty. Penn State DB's did this twice against USC. It's so basic.
Rugby time! Yeah, that seems annoying. It's gotta be terrible to be the ball carrier being pushed back and forth. I'm surprised how long they let it go one for.
good point about paying TT and Cutler. I can't see the Bills not picking up TT's option unless they get Rivers or Romo, but at the same time, they need to bring-in another guy. Mahomes is a possibility in the draft I suppose.
Fantastic topic for off-season speculation. Here is my attempt:
Cleveland - Watson (trade back into 1st). SF - Grappolo (Trade) Jets - Mitch T (1st round) Bears - Foles (Romo won't want to go there, they cut Cutler) Bills - Cutler and TT battle for starting spot. TT wins. Broncos - Siemian Texans -Big winners here: Romo via trade; and Mahomes via draft in 2nd round.
I would love it if your predictions turned out correct, and we land Rivers or Romo.
not a bad way of looking at it. Also gives Jones experience, and Romo is around for another year to groom the 2018 pick.
Romo with Watkins and Mike Williams would be nasty. Oh, and McCoy.
I like this approach. I'd take M. Williams. He is a beast. The draft is decently deep in safety talent...you can likely grab a great one in Rd. 2 (or even 3).
Why did we let Kromer go? Was he unhappy at the prospect of not being considered for OC. Perhaps he has an OC interview lined up? As Ryan TalbotBills mentions above, he could be a good fit w/ the Rams.
Do we have a new OL coach?
I still think Dareus is a good guy. Just needs some structure. Now he has it. I look for him to have an amazing season next year.
I agree. This is why we need to keep Kromer. The running game was fantastic last year, and even good the year before with a hobbled McCoy.
Wouldn't surprise me if we drafted one in the 1st or 2nd. I could see the Alabama LB (whose name escapes me and I'm too lazy to look up) falling to us at 10.
