  1. Using the Op's list, this is what I have: Drew Bledsoe (for his first 8 games or so) Rob Johnson Tyrod Taylor Ryan Fitzpatrick Alex Van Pelt Trent Edwards JP Losman EJ Manuel Kelly Holcomb Kyle Orton (would have been at the top, but you don't slide like he did when you need to win the game).
  2. Still cautious, given his play at Wyoming. He has all the tools. Perhaps better coaching in Buffalo. I still can't see him beating out McCarron. I think the real-live game-speed will give McCarron an edge--but I'm hopeful that Allen is the best QB from this draft. I would love to have the redraft in a few years have Allen and Edmunds at the top!!!
  3. This could be the biggest steal of the draft. A couple years from now, my guess is that the "redrafts" have him going top 3.
  4. If you make ridiculous comments, at least be a poster with a "high motor".
  5. I think Foster ends up in the WR rotation. I could see him as a starter next year. Dupree I wanted to draft (along with OT McDermitt). I think both will be major contributors this year.
  6. Or, he's good, and the Jets can't recognize talent. We'll find out soon!
  7. I want to hear that we at least made a play at him. With McD and Fraizer as known great D coaches, you'd think we have a shot at him coming here. Any connection/overlap with Shady's time in Philly?
  8. this would be a fantastic pickup. Would solidify the LB corp.
  9. I think McCarron starts week 1 and the entire season. I think he surprises people and is this years Jimmy G. Will be interesting to see what happens if Allen is lighting up practices while McCarron performs well during the season. Two good quarterbacks. Fantastic dilemma. I know, seems like a long shot, but I really think this will happen.
  10. I have no problem with AJ starting the season. Would be great if he turns into this season's Jimmy G! Then we also have Allen, and when he plays, he turns into Big Ben. Then we have a problem we could only dream of: 2 great QB's!!
  11. Is that the team that once was the Binghamton Mets in the mid-1990's (lived there then).
  12. i think Marino and Kelly were friends. So this could be a good sign. ridiculous that Edmunds is not there. The guy has HOF potential.
  13. Drafting Maybin at 11. Passing on drafting Russel Wilson and instead taking a WR, whose name currently escapes me.
  14. The best question was the one about buying a jacket. The reporter clearly had no clue he played at Wyoming, or that it is freezing up there in the winter.
  15. pats*** are not infallible. They did draft an OL this year. Perhaps he lost too much weight. Perhaps could play guard here.
  16. I recommend an Edmunds jersey. Guy is going to be a beast!!
  17. Chark. But not jumping up got them Phillips. More important, IMO. Guy should never have fallen to the 3rd round. But I would have been tempted to grab Chark. No guarantee you get someone in the 3rd. Or, could it be Phillips that fell, he was going to move up, decided against it, and got him anyway??
  18. 4.33. Did he return kicks? Will be nice to have a speed CB go up against our speed WR's in practice at the very least! I love how this FO is constructing this team.
  19. not liking the Edmunds pick should disqualify anyone from ranking a draft EVER again. He was a top 10 talent by almost any measure and by anyone who ranks prospects. He is 20 freaking years old. We could have found our Defensive QB for the next 15 years. Think about that. And then you have Phillips in front of him when KW and Star retire. Still lukewarm on the Allen pick. But overall, another great draft. Won't surprise me if we end up with 3 starters out of it (Edmunds, Wyatt, and Phillips--I think he beats out Star for starting in the rotation by the end of the year).
  20. Meanwhile, Mike Mayock has us taking 2 of his top 11 players (Allen and Edmunds). If you leave a draft with two top 11 players, with picks 12 and 22 to start, you win. Also, Edmunds is a top 4 talent on many people's board. Getting him at 16 was a steal, as was Phillips in the 3rd. It's like we didn't need those 2nd rounders that we "overpaid" for. I've been a HUGE critic of drafting Allen. By every metric he will be a top tier backup at best. Hopefully those metrics are wrong, or AJ goes nuts this year, keeps Allen on the bench and we trade Allen in a year or 2 for a 1st and 2nd. Overall, I'd give us an A. Esp. when you consider the UDFA haul we pulled in.
  21. hey, there is another smallish school in PA that produced a great NFL Player. Kutztown State's Andre Reed!
  22. owner meddling w/ the process here
