  1. Carter is the ONLY PERSON who I think has made this "observation". With all the reasons put forth to not draft Allen (played against weak competition, footwork, intermediate throws, accuracy) you'd think someone would have mentioned this before now. Perhaps he is confusing Allen with Darnold?
  2. nope. didn't we have two kickers a few years ago. Although that was Rex Ryan, I could see McD or someone thinking that with a young offense we need to pin the other teams deep back. I wouldn't do it. I think Ryan can handle that by himself. the same argument for place kickers works for punters. (if your into 2 kickers). One kicks the long-ball, the other is the short punt specialist.
  3. keeping 2 punters perhaps? Good field position play. Have Ryan kick the long balls, and Schmidt kick when we need to pin someone inside the 20. Kind of insane to take 2 roster spots on punters, but if we are thinking we need field-position, this is an interesting route.
  4. Anyone (non-student) paying a lower rate for NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV than 58.99/month. I think I've been paying that the past 2 years (can't get DirectTV at my address). If so, would love to know your secret.
  5. I think it's just a lack of talent at DL, esp. in terms of run stopping. It seems the D is made to have the line, well, hold the line. The secondary is vastly improved, and the LB's do a good job in the passing game, hopefully the LB's (who lack depth) can get some help form the DL this year.
  6. the answer is not "take him out" but play more physical on him and make sure that if he attempts a dirty hit someone goes after him after the play to draw attention to it. If the league won't protect players, players need to draw attention to ti.
  7. he won't get away with this if he tries it on someone on the Steelers or Ravens. Hopefully someone on the Bills D jacks him up at the line of scrimmage next time we play. Put a big nasty LB on him and just pound him every play.
  8. I hate Marrone and if the Jags fans have something against Buffalo, whatever. We will beat them this year. Obviously .
  9. He was the one QB of the big 4 I did not want before the draft. That's why I'm not the GM. I love that Allen is confident but not arrogant. It's a fine line that he walks very well.
  10. I think this was part of the game plan for Allen. We all know he has the deep pass, he needs to work on the intermediate passes. That's what game 2 was all about. Looks like he is a quick learner--also important for a starting QB. I'm envisioning Allen being a better version of Big Ben. But as a Bills fan I can't let myself get excited yet.
  11. I'd agree on that. I'd still start NP for the opener. NP has had 2 good preseason games, one with the starters and one with the 3rd team. JA has had a good and then a great game. At least we are having a QB "debate" where 2-3 QB's are able to string together long drives, something that was missing last year.
  12. Yes, it's over. Lots of team need someone to win/lose the last week of the season. I think you'd feel different if the Bengals won early in the day, and then we won to get in.
  13. need to jam the WR's. It's all timing. If he can't get the ball out quickly, he can look pedestrian (or simply above-average).
  14. do monkey's eat peanuts?? I thought bananas were their thing?
  15. I actually like 4. If coaches manage these games well, they get the starters brief game-speed action, while getting backups and borderline players valuable reps, for either here or elsewhere.
  16. Sounds like he got busted early and tried to convince players to let him stay: https://triblive.com/sports/steelers/13963536-74/steelers-fan-in-full-uniform-sneaks-onto-field-with-team
  17. DC Butler is overrated. If they blow another playoff game due to inept secondary/defense play, I expect to see a new DC next year. (they should have canned him after he made Bortles looks like a pro-bowler). that's because you live in Ohio All AFC North fans are somewhat annoying (except perhaps Bengals fans?)
  18. Can't hurt to look. Davis not looking great so far.
  19. Quit complaining about people complaining. ? Yep. That, or he totally sucked. Either way, he should be a backup.
  20. should have laid-out for the one that was "out of his reach." Like I said, he has all the talent, but the "extra effort" needed to win wasn't there. Could be why he rode Saban's bench. Only Daboll really knows.
  21. yeah, this guys main mistake really was wearing #43. Huge error. At least he got to chat with AB for a while. that is a backup QB with an awesome sense of humor!
  22. ahaha. It still makes zero sense to me. One of the Steelers QB's even complained about it. Seems like there was a defective ball or something. I can't see Tomlin like, "lets evaluate the QBs, but give them deflated balls in the summer."
  23. I hope he does. The talent is all there. Just needs to use it. Hopefully Daboll can get through to him. If not, he's a lost cause. And he's someone I was very high on.
  24. I don't get Foster. If he at least dives after some of those balls he is almost in "helps" himself. Lack of effort will get you cut, straight out. Interested to see how he does Friday. i'm expecting big things. If not, he's gone. Also, someone put Vonte Davis on the hurt list. He was bad, and then bad again in practice getting lit up by Zay.
