I think that stupid roughing call combined with the incomplete pass that was called a fumble got to him. The officials were questionable for a 2nd straight week. Again not outcome determinative, but really, the incomplete pass was some basic stuff they screwed up twice.

I Bet $5,000 on Minnesota. Should I Be Worried?
RyanC883 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
how does the "hedge the bet" by betting on the Bills work. So he puts 5K on the Bills. Wins. Then uses that money to pay off the loss from the other bet? Makes sense. -

oh man. I'd get professional help if you have an addiction. 17 pts is a lot. i don't gamble, but perhaps someone who does can suggest something to help you break-even in the event you don't win the 5K bet. -
Pitts stepping up would be huge. I guess the coaches believe he will.

This Year's Bears = Next Year's Bills?
RyanC883 replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, the draft gets us a pass rusher (not hard to fathom), the Head Coach does not need to be an offensive minded savant if our OC is one (jury out on that), and finding one or two OL and some WR's is not out of the realm. . -
If you are at work, your employer has the right to control your behavior, publicly funded space or not. Public funding has nothing to do with it. It's simply not a Constitutional Right to kneel during an NFL game. period. Employer policy also does not implicate Constitutional Rights. If an employer wants to fire you for it, the employer has every right to do so. An employer could also say, "I hate that shirt, your fired," despite not having a policy against shirts your boss does not like. I think Hyde has some experience at CB?

not a Constitutional Right to kneel during an NFL game. You have a Constitutional Right to kneel in public on your own time, and you also have a Constitutional Right to burn a flag. But try doing that at work. that said, I'd bring him in if he can help. He's not the attention-talent-less clown that Kap is.

This Year's Bears = Next Year's Bills?
RyanC883 replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
next year, easy. The D improves with Edmunds having gone through his rookie year, our pass rush improves with Bosa or Oliver and a FA, and the secondary also improves with FA. The O-line improves via draft and perhaps one FA, and we acquire Coleman, Bell, or a rookie RB. -
Bills Make National Headlines Consistently

Jordan clearly wasn't playing WR during his time here, now we know what he was doing! -
It finally hit me who Trent Murphy reminds me of....

Bosa out with core muscle surgery. Not sure what that is, exactly. Oliver could be another top pick, but I'd lean Bosa. -
The Bills gained an angel yesterday

That is truly the worst. I have a 6 year old and can only imagine how terrible this would be. God Bless, and I'll be praying for her and her family. As the OP mentions, Childhood Cancer needs additional research. Here is one group that does great research in that field: https://www.stbaldricks.org/ You can donate here, https://www.stbaldricks.org/donate and to the left, click in memorial and put "Sweet Sally" in first name, and "Sunshine" in the last. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Perhaps TBD can show some love to a Pediatric Cancer charity in the same way we did to Dalton's Charity and light up donations in memory of Sally. (FY: I have no affiliation with Sally or St. Baldricks). -
Predict the score: Bills at Vikings
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Vikings 24, Bills 20. I think it will be closer than a lot of people think. If the D plays like it did in the 2nd half last week, we can hold the Vikings offense down. I also think the Vikings have a somewhat porous O-line? Or that was the preseason narrative. I think if Allen has any time to throw he will be looking for Croom or a RB rather quickly. If he has more time, hopefully he "sees" the open WR's he missed last week. That's 10 points right there if he can do that. how are 2/3rds of your kids Vikings fans? Do you live in a Vikings area. ???? If not, I'm calling Child Protective Services -
perhaps Lawson moves inside after Williams retires and you have Lawson (ok) Star (ok) and Phillips (should be a stud). Not terrible DT rotation, IMO. Put someone like Bosa on the outside to bring pressure, and get another DE and you have a legit line. Tre White? Edmunds could by the mid-end of the season.

not relative at all. The NFL has lost a lot of viewers year over year. It's a fact. The post I responded to tried to state that simply having the highest ratings (which, btw, he provided no evidence of) meant that the NFL has not lost viewers.

The Bills Worked Out Eight Players Yesterday
RyanC883 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that's because the OT's/Center give up pressure before the Guard's can. Almost like a competition on the O-line. Can Paszor play center? -
Watkins, Woods, 6-100, 6-81. Benjamin, Jones, 2-19, 2-63
RyanC883 replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets see: Woods: Goff, a good O-line, a great D that puts the offense back on the field, and a RB named Gurley. Also has other stud WR's to take attention off of him. Watkins: plays in uptempo throwing offense with Andy Reed. Has arguably the 2nd best TE in football on his team, and another stud WR in T. Hill to take attention off of him. But rant on about how the Bills "let these guys go." Woods would have been nice to keep, but too much money for a WR in a rebuilding offense, and he'd be clobbered here with double coverage. -
Philip Rivers: A Sobering Warning
RyanC883 replied to Jerome007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yep. the team around him is awful. no running game, below-average D. -
having the highest ratings and having a decline year over year are vastly different metrics.

Alabama would beat the Buffalo Bills, 'analysts' say
RyanC883 replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
at some point, this needs to happen, somehow, to shut up analyst who say stupid things like this. Then the analyst should loose their pay for a day. -
My 2 cents. I did not want to draft Allen due to accuracy issues. But he has been better than I thought. He is mentally strong, and can move in the pocket. He also has ZERO help at the WR and OL positions, 2 areas where rookie QB's need help. If he doesn't improve, I can see us taking another QB in the 1st round next year, or early 2nd depending. Nothing to be lost by putting him out there now.
