Agreed. Get a DT (perhaps the guy from Michigan whose name is escaping me) at 22 if he's there. Some other good players will be available in Rd. 2 also. And we have some good DT's to learn from. I like that we are getting vets at positions where we will also likely draft someone.

Trent Murphy also scares me. He was good, but then got suspended for PED's, then blew out his knee. 10 mill a year seems steep for that.?

I agree. If you add Barkley, you have a great OL, 3 great WR's, a capable QB in TT and whatever rookie they draft, and a solid D. I think they could make the playoffs next year. They are putting a scary roster together. please be the Rams. Also, him and Donald on the same line is sick.

I think M. White is going to be good. Same with L. Falk. They will go in round 2-3. If we miss out on Rosen/Mayfield, I'd go defense in first round then grab one of them. Rudolph from what I gather is knocked b/c he didn't play under center. But I believe he is capable of multiple reads and the offense he ran was complex. He may break the stereotype of QB's from his system.

Stafford is good, but what exactly has he won? with JP or Manuel type accuracy.

Lucks' recent rehab setback has me worried. But, if they get Luck, they can draft Falk or White later on in the daft to have a Luck/rookie/Peterman combo. That's not bad at all. And if Luck returns to form, we are set at QB.

I hope you are correct. Only Rosen or Mayfield can play from day 1. Allen needs to sit behind an established vet. Darnold needs to stop turning the ball over. I'd take L. Falk or M. White over Allen. They seem more ready to play.

Casserly needs to retire. He's been awful for the past 2 years (if not more). Totally unwatchable. ABC did just renew the Bachelor. This would make for some great reality TV. Or a cure for insomnia.

I really hope this is a giant smokscreen, and that we have already seen enough to grab him. He and Rosen are the only guys in the "top 4" that can be day 1 starters, IMO.

Yeah, I get that. I agree Allen would not be a Day 1 guy. We would need to find a day 1 guy. If we take Allen, I'm not sure what Day 1 guy is left in FA at this point.

If he falls to 12, that would be easier to stomach. But this is a guy who has had holes in his game since HS and did not improve. I do not want to trade up for him. Who are your top 2? I'm not sure people are "down" on Allen (it seems that way, and my comments likely make it seem that way), as they are nervous about allocating a top pick to him when Rosen and Mayfield have proven to be winners at the highest levels against top competition. And if Allen needs top talent on the OL and at WR to succeed, it seems he is better suited to go to a team with all parts in place (Denver, Pittsburgh, etc) than Buffalo. We need a QB who makes those around him better.

Big Ben had a 69.1 completion percentage his Jr. year (before the draft); Allen has 56%. Why was he on a terrible team? Not highly scouted? A franchise QB makes the team around him better. If he needs a "great team," then he needs to be drafted by a team that has better WR's than us. In fact, the Steelers should trade up and make him Ben's backup. exactly. He could be a star, someday, but he cannot start day 1. We need a guy who can. Only two really fit that bill: Rosen and Mayfield. Wouldn't surprise me if Indy perhaps grabbed him.

If we draft him I'll want him to succeed, but this great QB threw a whopping ZERO TD's against Power 5 teams last year. Mike White will be a better NFL QB.

You are spot on. He has terrible accuracy at WYOMING. He has played terribly against Power 5 teams. And anytime someone says, "His big arm would be great in Buffalo" I want to throw something. You know who else has strong arms: Mayfield (gets windy in Oklahoma), Rosen, L. Jackson, and Darnold. Take one of them. I'd take L. Falk or Mike White over J. Allen.

I'm thinking this happens in the draft. Although I would like to see 1-2 in FA. Nigel at LB and perhaps a depth OT or Guard/Center. The guy I really like is Chris Hubbard (OT) from the Steelers. Played well last year when a starter when down.
