  1. Tre is 27 coming off an ACL, There are 3 cornerbacks above age 30 in the top group [Peterson at Minny, Gilmore at Indy and Slay at Philly]. Corners are a perishable commodity, good to have some fresh talent in the pipeline.
  2. The talking heads on Monday night were saying that they aren't making many NFL quality Left Tackles. Whitworth was proof that if you stay healthy you can play well into your 30's. We have a known commodity there, if we don't pay him, someone else will. His overall grade is brought down by his run blocking, he's a top 10 pass blocker.
  3. Including the three other AFC division leaders, the defending Super Bowl Champs, and Green Bay of the three successive 13 win seasons. That being said, their D-line will be a challenge for our O-line to at least give Josh some time to throw or do his escape act. Saleh is a highly regarded defensive coach who now has some pieces that will allow him to scheme.
  4. Yeah Josh runs past the DE #91, breaks that tackle and just flipped the ball to Knox 7 yards deep for the TD.
  5. Steve Job's widow has serious dinero & DC ties if Bezos takes a pass. She is already a 20% owner of the Caps and the Wizards.
  6. Only one of Josh's INT's cost us points, the throwaway that didn't get thrown far enough away at the GB 3. That cost us at least 3 if not 7. The other one was a back and forth in our own end when Milano picked off Rodgers after GB picked off Josh.
  7. The Jets have one of the most dominant D-Tackles in the league in Williams, lining up against Saffold, arguably our weakest link on the O-line. They also have 3 solid corners in Sauce, Reed and Carter. Diggs and Davis will have to have solid games against what seems to be a top Jets secondary. Without Hall, Jets offense is hot garbage, so this could be a low scoring affair.
  8. I am a bit concerned about how GB shredded our D-Line and LB's in the running game. Time of Possession was GB 34, Buf 26. Is this a blueprint for teams like Chicago and Cleveland with decent running games to give us a hard time? Just a thought
  9. Rest of Ravens schedule, other than Cinci in the last game of the year, are all games where they should be favored: @NO, Carolina, @Jax, Denver, @Pitt, @Cleve (w/ Watson), Atlanta, Pitt, @Cinci in week 18. Bills head to head win looks important re: playoff positions.
  10. Frazier found a way to deal with King Henry, No one else really has. Of course other than the Bills and possibly the Giants, Titans have had a REALLY easy Schedule, but aren't blowing teams out.
  11. Some of us have convenient memories, 11-7-21 Jags 9, Bills 6. Any given Sunday. Bills on a short week.
  12. Notice that next year JA17's base salary goes from 4.1MM to 27.5MM, which more than gobbles up the $17mm expected cap increase, so anyone we pick up is likely a rest of the season rental.
  13. Prime example is Carolina, 7 years ago they were 15-1, they went from that gaudy record to 5 of the next 6 seasons with below .500 records.
  14. Bills won their 1964 title at home wearing blue over white. The 1965 title was won on the road wearing white over white.
  15. Eagles have played the 29th toughest schedule to date and have the weakest schedule in the league going forward. That being said, Dallas with a healthy Dak/Zeke at home will be a tough hurdle. Their other games against teams with a decent record are a pair with the Giants, and Derrick Henry and the Titans. Eagles are 28th in rushing defense in a yards per attempt [5.0] basis, so Barkley and Henry could be problems.
  16. Rashan Gary, Packers LB and arguably the best player on their defense is in concussion protocol after leaving the game Sunday vs. the Commanders.
  17. QB - Josh Allen RB - Josh Jacobs FB - Reggie Gilliam [better pass blocker & receiver than Ricard] WR1 - Stephon Diggs WR2 - Tyreek Hill WR3 - Devante Adams TE - Chris Kelce LT - Laramy Tunsil LG - Joel Bitonio C - Creed Humphrey RG - Michael Onwenu RT - Jack Conklin Teller would probably be the RG if he wasn't nicked up
  18. Anyone notice that the Bills have somehow put together a defense with first rounders Von Miller, Ed Oliver, Tremaine Edmunds, Kaiir Elam, Tre White [when he returns] and Greg Rousseau all starting, and Shaq Lawson in reserve. Wonder if any other team in the league has 6 first rounders starting on D. The currently injured Xavier Rhodes is also a former first rounder.
  19. I remember than Thurman Thomas had an 85% tear of his ACL at Oklahoma State. He wore a brace for his entire NFL career. He had a pretty good career in the NFL.
  20. Our D-line is playing at a high level, If Bakhtiari is out, their O-Line is mostly JAG's or less - Rodgers will not have a lot of time to get his plays off. Edmunds & Jones have been playing well, which impacts the GB run game. Hoping Eddie O is mending from his bum ankle. Be interesting to see if Tre White is active for this game even in a spot role.
  21. Sunday night weather looking like perfect football weather 50 degrees, winds off the lake 5-10 mph.
  22. Just makes me appreciate more what McBeane and Frazier have put together this season. Esp without Tre White and losing Hyde.
  23. Teller is inactive today, seems he has a recurring problem with "calf strain' [?achilles?]. Cleveland looks like they are headed for Salary Cap jail with Watson's contract.
  24. I still shudder over memories on him being caught from behind in 2014 as he was a little cocky.
  25. Not sure we can say this. We still have to play at CInci, H/A vs. the Jets & the Patsies. We do get the Packers and Vikings in the OP. We also get Miami at home the third weekend in December. There's a lot of chances to stumble. Detroit on Turkey day is a trap game on a short week. Hoping the worst of our injury woes are over. McD stresses one game at a time.
